Ted, your review of my book SHANTI: The Sea Ranch and Around is deeply thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Thank you for putting it into the context of your vast knowledge base and experience. Arun.
Ted, thank you very much for showing my work and the time to give me feedback, I greatly appreciate it! I went back and forth at least 20 times whether or not I needed the titles, they are out for next year. Thanks again for all the inspiration over the years.
Really appreciate your explanation of the technique Arun used to create his stunning photographs. I've been working on a similar project, more monochrome, and couldn't figure what was missing in my technique. You've given me another way to consider-thanks Ted!
Really well said Ted about openness in learning - if we are open to it, we can learn from masters, from novices and from our own failure. Love your channel.
I also love Arun`s book. It is really stunning & a masterpiece. I also like the other mails - this is so great! Thank you for showing us all these books, prints.
Love what you say near the end, especially as a “trained” musician/amateur photographer myself. I think those words ring true the older I get. We’re all on a different part of the journey, and that’s the inspiring part! A beautiful cycle
Ted, I love the positivity and support that you bring to your reviews and commentaries. Photography can be so subjective an art form and you are able to be supportive and help others grow in their skills without discouraging their efforts. That strength encourages all of us. I also love being introduced to talented photographers whose work I have never seen. All of these books and zines are wonderful. I am especially enamored with the work of Arun Patel. Thanks again.
Ted, thank you for an excellent video. Nice to see the work, and zines, from other photographers - their work deserves to be seen, and as a very respected YT photographer/y presenter reflects on you well- experienced pro. Keep up the good work- ps.(past video) I now I have a Q3 thanks to your channel😂
Wow, Arun's book, Shanti, looks amazing! The use of black and white tones and the limited dynamic range are very interesting. I would love to see it in person. Good Sir
@@ArunPatelStudio The feeling of a book in your hands is the best! While I can't hold one myself, I'd love to hear about the book you'd recommend. Tell me all about it
I might be wrong, but I see a huge influence here related to traditional Chinese landscape painting from a very minimalist point of view. Thanks for sharing!
I'm no art critique, but as a photo book buyer, I personally like the labels, if any, to be next to the images, not at the end of the book. Helmut Newton's Sumo has them like that for example.
I went digital. After working as a retina MD in a dark room for 35 yrs, there was no way I was getting back into another one! My son Andy just pointed out to me why Adobe named it 'Lightroom'. Can't believe I missed that all these years! Arun
I must commend your talent my friend,I want to buy the rights to ownership of the photo's I'm willing to offer a reasonable amount if you'll agree, tell me if you're interested

You have gone straight to the heart of what I'm trying to do. Namaste.
Outstanding mostly monochrome mail time … brilliant work, great info … thanks very much! 📷😄
Always learn things from these vids. Thanks!
Local Sea Ranch shooter crushing it. Beautiful minimalist, understated style. Great work! Is it for sale at the Lodge?
Hell, yes!
I very much enjoyed this video! I love looking at photos and am dreaming of making a photo book of pictures I have taken :))
Bought Patel. Reminds me of McKenna. Would like to do more of that myself.
Always wondered what the DR of print was... thanks for that! :D
Great video. Love your positive vibes!
This book is a masterpiece.
You are a very good teacher.
thank you for mentioning John Blakemore - a true master - check out his unbelievably amazing 'Tulip' series.

Shanti is the Hindi/Bengali word for peace/zen!
And that is the mood I'm trying to set with this book. I hope it meets your expectations. Arun
Love these videos! Keep it up!!!
This is excellent work. He has an awesome website also! I wonder if he is a digital or film photographer?

First class book indeed!
Great. Makes me want to put one together.
So inspiring art ❤
That first book you showed has Michael Kenna vibes which is cool.
Yes, he is one of my heroes and a very kind person.
Love it

The book of Arun Shanti looks great, but 120$? Ouch...
Just describing why I hate most photo books lol with that first one.
Arun's work kinda put too high a bar for the rest that followed.
Very kind; but believe me, if I can, anyone can. Get your images together and make a book..... it's great fun. Arun
