I can tell you as a local that “Les Pecheurs” pictured at 0:18 is very good. Seafood is fresh, service is good, costs about 150 euros for a 2-person dinner with wine. Quantum Blue was in the big slip when I was there last iirc.

Great video ESys! I really love what you do! My father owned Chan Moser Yachts, a yacht brokerage firmed based out of CT. My father ran it from 1949 to basically 2015. He hated Merryl Wood Associates. I told my father lets beat these guys, lets advertise your Centrals in Boating International. Yachting (magazine) etc etc so. He ran often in New York Times. Now my father is kn the big boat yard in the sky. I miss him dearly. But I am building $100 MILLION marketing company. Which in terms of Mega yachting (Lurrsen level yachts) lets see!. I spoke to my consultants again tonight. I said lets push this marketing beast to $1 billion to make my father proud! Anyways, enough wishful thinking. Do what you are passionate about in life. Mega Yachts are awesome but huuuuuuuge headaches - u know this. But one day....lol. a 300' Lürssen. HAHAHA!

Amadea has to be one of the best looking completely white megayachts besides Eclipse and Faith.
Have you seen Benetti's "Lana"? She is 107 meters & absolutely striking! I actually kinda find "Amadea" & "Lana" fairly similar while still having plenty of unique traits.

There's been talk about constructing a new ferry terminal elsewhere to get all the traffic to and from the Corsica ferries out of the city centre (I've always thought they should construct it next to the airport; would be a cool travel hub).
If so, they could reallty expand the yacht port!

I noticed a big yacht in Nice port two weeks ago, but I don't know what that one is. It looks smaller than the Amadea.
That boat is bigger than my neighbor hood.

If I had that kind of money to buy a yacht and considering the yachts currently for sale, it would be between Amadea and Luminosity. It leans towards Amadea only for the fact that it's built by Lurssen.
I don't think I would want such a large boat. It restricts where you can go, as well as being more like a hotel than a house.
I would be more interested in a smaller explorer yacht with a much smaller crew.

Only 16 guests and 46 crew !!!! Why do these massive yachts have such a small capacity for guests and seem to carry loads of crew better the other way round.
Very nice yacht from the outside! But that "Authentic classic" 18th Century interior is an acquired taste! which is probably one of the main reasons it hasn't sold.

I know you might be too keen on this, but at £320m what do you think of a Royal yacht at £200m would look like. Probably need a high security detail and crew in excess of 100 and passengers 30/40 so passenger craft code. How long, how many cabins and what do you think the final price would be. Politicians always put a low estimate then let it run over.

Never eat a copious lunch and then google for interior photos of Amadea.
I haven't eaten yet, but I still wish that I hadn't googled that mess. Not exactly a turnkey yacht, it would need a year for remodeling.

I just watched, "King Luxury" video titled "Inside the $795,000,000 Mega Yachts (2)" . The presenter said that M/Y Octopus was leased to the Royal Navy to recover the ships bell from HMS Hood. Thought it might interest you. Great to see M/Y Amadea again, one of my favourite yachts, thank you.

Those domes on the top - if I remember correctly from your previous explanations, are for communications. I've noticed that their size tends to be proportional to the size of the vessel. Is that purely for aesthetics? Or is there a functional reason those domes need to increase in size as the vessel gets bigger?
These domes protect staellite dishes - usually you will have two for VSAT (internet) and two for Sat-TV.
The larger they are the better the reception -> you'll get more bandwidth and a more stable signal.
If I Put together all my bank accounts, cashed in my RRSPs my RSP sold everything I owned. I would be able to afford this boat, and my boat I mean one of the tenders, maybe

If you arrange my access I’ll happily film it. This yacht is managed by Imperial, I had to sign an NDA to have an interview with them once. There’s no way you’re getting onboard this boat unless you’re a big TV Studio.

Benetti's Luminosity is about same length, higher gross tons and cost $275 million. So $65 million more for the Lurssen name and quality.

@@unfurling3129 I think everyone in the industry would tell you that the Lurssen is better quality, even the Italians talk about trying to match norther Europe quality.

@@frankthetank9332 Jubilee (now KAOS) had the same issue but was still sold and then refitted. It is the price that is the problem i think. Octopus was sold for $278M and $318M~ for jubilee, while amadea is for sale at $340M
@@turtleboat6328 oh i didnt know that jubilee was also refitted so massive in the interior. I saw some changes at the outside, but interesting to know…
I think it makes not a big difference for such rich people, if you pay 318 or 340millions, but of course it is a crazy price.
I think maybe the half price of the yacht is just the interior, so if u want to change everything on amadea, i think its cheaper to build a new yacht with your own design..

I really love the exterior of amadea, but the interior is really a mess ( the owner must be a russian for 100%) for such a beauty lürssen..
Maybe that is one of the reasons she will not find a buyer

The other thing is, if anyone has the resources to commission a yacht of this size, why would they have anything other than a Lurssen?
Because it's not just the money, it's the capacity & lead time - if you wanted a 100m+ yacht and went to Lurssen today with £300 million then I doubt you could get before 2026/27 at the earliest, they simply don't have the capacity to build so many 100m+ yachts at the same time, and we're already expecting Kali / Blue / Opera / Luminence from them over the next few years. Are you going to just wait, or are you going to look and se if Feadship or Benetti (or B+V for that matter, I presume they almost automatically get the Lurssen surplus) have spare capacity and can start work on it sooner and deliver in 2024/25? Also, although Lurssen may dominate the top end, as I guest I never care - the design & interior matter far more, along with the space & layout.
