Mr. Brown has been my favorite artist since 1968 when I was 12. So I could tell you anything you want to know. This was 1966 on the Ed Sullivan show he was 33 years old born May 3, 1933.

Fellas - if you want the best version of those two songs, you have to see the performances on the TAMI Show. Those were some of his best clips as a younger performer.

Please, please, please watch his performance on David Letterman in 1982, unbelievable on every level. It's on the longer side so you might have to split it into parts but I promise the whole thing is unbelievably good. As a long time James Brown fan I have never seen him dance THAT good.
