    Cool idea, though what if part way through the video the viewer makes the connection that the process is happening to them right now. Rather than a marketing vid it's more like this is what is happening now no need to fear.

      "I am here within the Cybermen's captivity willingly. On an important Mission from the Earth Federation and the alliance's academic research into the Cybermen's conversion process that they use. Within my body are a series of Nano mechanisms that will transmit and document the process as my body undergoes Cyber Conversion to the highest academic and military authorities to study for the future. It is not the Process I fear though...is it the feeling of what comes after it."

    This is a great idea. I have a couple of bits of feedback:
    - Mr Sandman is very eerie, but I wonder if something more "2006 corporate" would suit? Some deep house perhaps?
    - The nervous system in the cyberman suits is artificially grown (as the Doctor identifies during the autopsy scene.) I don't think there'd ever be a way to actaully remove the nervous system from a human body.

      I'd say to your second point, I can excuse retcons cause Dr Who has next to no consistency with a lot of its continuity, and in terms of realism, well it's kind a terrifying thought that might still try...

      Corporate deep house is such a deep cut, damn that brought all sorts of memories back. The early 2000s was a wild time.

    Using the Cybermen for something like this is genius. Horror and Cybermen just go hand to hand, I wish the show utilized that aspect to them more though granted… this would more than likely traumatize so many viewers.
    Especially that part with the beginning of the upgrade process and all you hear are the cutting sounds with the silhouette’s head being covered in blood red… that kinda got me.
    Well done, I’d love to see more

    • @ThatFoxxoLeo
      @ThatFoxxoLeo หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      I mean, that was the original intent of the Cybermen of the 60's, showing a "what-if" of a person having so many prosthetics that there wasn't a clear answer to if they were human or machine. The Cybus Cybermen (or at least the parallel world they came from) were similar to this, mostly being a warning of an overreliance on technology, but too quickly (as in literally within the 2-parter they starred in) they became pretty much just a robot army without any flecks of humanity to show that they were originally human.
      I quite liked the Cybermen that 12 came across - Danny Pink's love triumphing over the emotional inhibitor and Bill Potts' conversion both showcased the humanity underneath the Cybermen's metal exterior well, albeit in different ways with different parts emphasised.

      @@ThatFoxxoLeo Yessir. That’s why the Mondasian Cybermen are the GOATs.
      See I don’t really like that the conversion can be easily overrides by “love.” It happened in Closing Time too where Craig stopped being converted through the power of baby cries. I get why for story reasons but idk… makes it feel cheap. I do like Bill’s conversion though, for as tragic as it was. Something like Spare Parts also does an excellent job of showcasing the blurred line between human and machine, also very terrifying. But then again it has the Mondasian Cybermen, further proof that they are the GOATs of the Cybermen.

      I don't quite mind it, really. It really depends more on the writing around it more than the trope itself, though. Besides, allowing for some emotional elements to show under very certain conditions does allow for the human underneath all of the prosthetics to be explored.
      But yeah, it's a shame the modern Cyberman are so misused because I do quite like their design.

    WE NEED MORE AH ABOUT CYBORGS! Hell yes dude! you are giving me EXACTLY what i been wanting for a long time! Cyborgs like the Cybermen, the Strogg and Borg are so RIPE for Analog Horror like content and people keep focusing on alien organic diseases or such. It is cool, but i want to see bio-mechanical monsters outside of Freddy Fazbear like stuff. I am kind of writing on a idea about this right now, so thanks dude! I genuinely hope more stuff like this is done for others and maybe you. Thanks, thanks, i so hope other creators look at the beauty and terror of bionics for Analog Horror as it seems underutilized a concept.

    • @randomarcgunner4543
      @randomarcgunner4543 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Well technically not, since the only time being a cyberman kills you is if you are killed in battle, have the inhibitor turned off or have your fleshy components damaged while away from the base, so have a conversion machine scrap you so that it can upgrade someone else.
