that's exactly why the FUKKING skip button its super needed... you have no idea how much that would bring old players back and new one more motivated to start new account, and streamers would do that on a monthly base ... i have no idea why retardoverse wont add the skip button.
Legit me too, I have an account with 3 5 star weapons and thr reason I don't play on it is because of the main story quests
I started a new acc a few weeks ago 💀 it's not as bad as I expected actually it doesn't take as long to level up and make progress as you might think :) give it a try
I started a new account right after making my first account with Aether with the intent of playing on it when the game finishes so I can relive everything again with the opposite sibling
The one thing that makes replaying Genshin unbearable it the dialogue, especially in quests. The "skip" barely does anything

the thing is genshin is probably one of the best free to play game out there and its a game for casual players and i think its a game which was designed to be just that. i had a lot of fun playing it i took a huge break when sumeru released and started playing again a week ago and a lot changed elements,characters etc and i still have fun playing it to this day, i also made a new acc just for fun and its great :)
Oh no it was DEFINITELY not designed to be played casually, it follows the gacha game money making blueprint to the T.
Still, Genshin remains an outlier for the genre, as the game is genuinely great and of high quality as long as the player has good self-control. It has a lot of artistic work put behind it so I do believe your way of enjoying the game is the correct one.
Only the story enjoyers and explorers play this game casual. When you play the game to meet the daily quota then it stops being casual imo

Nah Genshin is definitely the most casual gacha game. Every single endgame fight is optional with the only reward being slightly more primogems, and events only require the bare minimal effort to get all rewards with the hardest of them only giving worthless stuff like extra exp or mora. Casual players can just hang out in a lower world level, there's absolutely nothing forcing you to try hard in Genshin.
Play any other gacha game and you'd have events that require pulling event characters for bonus points to farm all items from the event shop, or even pvp and special dungeons that require time investment to even get far otherwise you get little rewards.
@@m0onl3ss that statement is contradictory, gacha games are made to played casually and that's because most of its spenders are people with jobs that have little to no time for games.
I kinda like how casual it feels lol it's like sitting next to a friend in your room on a sleepover and watching them play genshin
When it comes to making a new account, starting fresh is the best thing because I can try out characters I don’t usually play or don’t have. And even sometimes I get lucky on my alt account and get a five star early. 😊
man i remember first playing genshin, and the graphics were great (until i realized how much better pc graphics were). Everything was fresh to me and i was genuinely having fun with this whole new experience.

I also played a new account where I spent 0 primos/fates and not use anything free event character/weapons, and managed to clear all story quests.
This has proven that, as long as the player has basic knowledge of the game, there will not be any issue on the game at any point they started without needed to rely on any luck.
This account I am not able to 36* abyss, but look at all the primos that I never touched. If others do the same they can just spend them on whatever they want to make the account stronger. But at the base line, a free character with chest weapons/craftable only account can clear the story without issues.

When the game first came out, or at least around that time period, I started playing it to see what the hype was about. Enjoyed it for a bit, though not as much as everyone made it seem. After realizing that the gods of the game were playable (not many games I know of do that.) I set out to want to collect all seven when they come out and release. So, while I didn't like Venti, I ended up pulling for his banner, and realizing there wasn't much time left I think (I can't remember if banners had less time back then or not) I found out about rerolling accounts, did it a couple times, but quickly got bored and frustrated after getting a qiqi on one account. So...for a number of other reasons like space issues and such, I just uninstalled the game and never thought about it again.
Until a couple years later, when I thought, huh, maybe I should give it a chance, but this time on my laptop. So I tried to install it. But idr the exact reasons, though I believe space issues and slow asf download speed made me bored and not want to try it again.
Fast forward to about the end of october of 2023 (The tail end of the neuvillette banner, and venti rerun) I came back after enjoying my time on HSR, and thinking I'd give this game another go. I ended up putting some pulls into venti's banner in an act of revenge for before, only for the drunken german boy to prank me with a diluc. I then gave up on pulling for him and continued to play the game to try and catch up to everything as I hadn't even done the liyue quest yet. I looked up the hydro archon as I hadn't seen anything floating around about them yet, and realized I actually really like her design and personality, so after realizing she was coming up after the current banners, I saved all the gems I could hoping I could get her. While I did get her, it took a little bit into 80 something pity and resorting to doing six single pulls for her. I don't regret it.
As of currently, I'm on the inazuma quest (not because I can't progress, but because of a self-imposed challenge. I'd probably be well into fontaine by now if not for that)
Sorry for the long rant about the dumb journey i've taken on playing this game as a f2p. I'm currently trying to 100 percent monstadt while grabbing all the electrocculus on the first island of inazuma (I know it's a bunch of islands, but the first area the statue of the seven opens up) before I continue the archon quest. It's taking a while with me being lazy and not liking having to look up videos and follow along just to find chests I'd never have found normally. So yeah.
Mondstat and Liyue give less primos than the other nations, if you’re looking for a quicker way to get primos, your best choice is to do quests or explore inazuma, sumeru, or fontaine 😌
meanwile i get stressed out by hsr, cuz its moc is the most f2p unfriendly thing i´ve seen in centuries. and yet ppl want to tell me its so easy bla blah. i cant play this game anymore. ppl there are way to toxic for my mental health
@@LadyGenovefa Well, I also struggle to do MOC, though that's mainly cuz I haven't built my characters to do it yet. So I simply ignore it despite it being the best way to farm jades when you've done everything else. There is a new mode out now though Idk how easy it is in comparison. It's unfortunate there are some people who are toxic, though every community has those ppl.

as an old player if you are a new player reading my comment I can definitely confirm that being free 2 play are very much possible for this game and still 36 star the abyss although it takes some time, i have an account on every server and all of them are f2p AR 60 (yeah that's how much I like this game)
im not bragging i'm just sharing my experience ✌ and yes I complete aranara quest 5 times it was fun
edit: right now i only play 2 accounts because unlike before i have more priorities in life
Time is generally the biggest factor in this game because Artifacts and character talents etc all take a lot of resin and do most of the damage.
The game is a lot harder today than it was at launch but only on the abyss side of things.

Dude before they added the chasm I like made 5 whole new accounts just so I had something to do when I finished everything on my old acc (just to clarify I only almost completely cleared it I think twice, (that being Mondstadt-Inazuma) it got so grindy I kinda lost the enjoyment in it. But honeslty, having done it after quitting for a bit, it's actually really nice to be able to go through the story and pay more active attention to the dialogue now knowing more of the lore, like reading a book for the second time. Regardless hope you have fun :D It's also a great way to find the time to try out new teams or play five stars you wouldn't have gotten on your main account! Very excited to watch ^^

ive made SEVERAL new accounts and i feel like with each one my skills at playing this game have increased, as well as helping to stave off burnout of course, so im gonna enjoy watching this
when I did dragonspine on my second account it was SO MUCH easier it cured the PTSD from the first experience 😹😹😹
This motivated me to create another account. However, I remembered I already have an AR 55 and another AR 45+ account that I outsource to friends who want to try the game. It's fun pulling on em every time some free primos drop!
Great content idea, it brings me pain to think about playing through the entire story again without being able to skip the cinematics. Would love to see a shorter cut of this series that focuses on the decisions that you’re making to optimize your account after everything you’ve learned on your other account. When/where to spend resources, etc.

Main issue I have with starting a second account, and why I abandoned the one I did start, is the inability to skip the hour long kinetic novel quests that abound. Not a big fan of all the excessive talking the first time around, and it becomes a real chore and time waster the second. And there were other bits of tedium as well, all the "play daily!" stuff the game has becomes more annoying with each additional account you have. So I abandoned that. The fun of playing with different characters, at a different power level, didn't outweigh the cost of repeated tedium.
Same, if they add an actual skip button which I doubt I would love to keep going on my second account
They added a new system so you can do story progress to count as dailies.
In Honkai impact 3rd you can skip through the entire dialogue, even if you’re playing that quest for the first time. Like Hoyo really needs to ad that feature in their other games

thing is i dont think that was a bug/glitch where you couldn't figure out which button to press. I had the same frustration about it but I think it was 'v' which normally points out where you're objective is in the world

Yeah I think it should say below "press V to navigate" (at least it's how I remember it) I think one of the updates must have broken the prompt that tells you to press V.
This made me want to go back to my original account, which was made on D-1 of Genshin, and fix it. I decided to drop that account after my return on version 3.6. It's just... that account was rushed. It was during the time no one knows how to efficiently progress in Genshin.
I wasted all my resins, I pulled on the standard banner with all my primos. And I rushed it to AR 45 without building my characters first. I actually dropped that account right before Zhongli was even playable, so you really know how hard I rushed things back then when it didn't take that long for me to reach AR 45. Again, I wasted resins.
Now, I kinda want to return to that account and try to fix it. And with Raiden just around the corner, maybe it IS a good time to attempt to fix the account.
the standard banner is fine to pull on, i never wouldve gotten favonious weaphons or sacrifical sword or the widsth without it. it depends what you want/have. i pull on standard bcs im not necesarily saving for anyone rn and i'm building characters i already have
@@-toriizaka46That’s just copium. The standard banner is never fine to use primos on under any circumstances. Literally never. If you’re concerned about standard banner characters you’ll get them from the limited banners anyway and favonius/standard 5* weapons will come with time just playing the game as you’ll rack up standard banner pulls from various sources. Let’s not give people terrible advice.

Primos are farmable and resin is given every 8 min. So expending them is never a justified reason to drop a account. You can and will regain everything you wasted with time. It's not a competitive game so it doesn't matter how much time you take to build your account and there's no endgame content so there's no need to rush.
I wouldn’t have the mental energy to sit through farming any kind of stuff again but I do enjoy watching content of other ppl starting a fresh account. :)
i had an acc since the beginning of genshin but gave up bcus i felt so overwhelmed but when i started playing recently i made a whole new acc. although i feel sad that i don't have all of the progress i had on my old acc but i also have been more passionate about my gameplay and have payed more attn to my stats/been more aggressive than i was on my old acc (since i felt like it wasn't worth it)
i mean you can also say that my main is also a great example of a great free to play account, since the lowest percentage region i have is in Fontaine, and that's around 94%, while all other nations are at a clean 100, and i don't even have the Fontaine compass or Resonance Stone yet.
I want to start Genshin over just so I can re-experience the story quests. My first time, I sped run because I wanted to catch up to Inazuma (started at 1.6) and that was a mistake
I did 7 reruns before starting my gameplay back in october 2020 till AR7. I always log on them after patch to collect primos and free prizes (like game of the year, etc). I've a account with Kazuha, Nahida, Furina and Tighnari when I want to do a new gameplay (propably when the story ends), just with free primos from email.
spent sm money on this game just to have some characters I don’t even use :( also when you spend money you lose your motivation to actually do quests and explore cause you don’t appreciate the free primos no more.
For the "bug" You just have to click left alt and click the highlighted quest with the cursor and you can continue! hope that helps~
I started playing in 3.1, haven't spend a dime, and can confirm that it is 100% possible to enjoy Genshin while being F2P. There's plenty of content, and a pretty good number of primos/fates available from quests/exploration/limited events. I can't speak to whether it's possible to clear Abyss because I went back to clear floors 5-8 and promptly realized that I'm not a huge fan of that playmode (although I'll probably get there eventually for the primos).
I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered buying a Welkin or something every once in a while, because sometimes there are multiple characters (especially 5-stars) available on the limited banners in a short amount of time and I can't get both so I have to choose one, but I haven't given in and I don't think I'm any worse off for it.
i found that pressing alt while in the 'glitch' in the start will bring out your mouse!
It's not about f2p it's about experience
I have gamer experience but gacha and open world both is new to me so i took a little time to settle, but if i didn't had any gaming experience at all, it might've been hard for me
But currently i am making good pregression except the builds, they are pretty average but still doable

i think you have a better game without spending money. The game is in the challenge. Spending to become overpowered so there is no challenge spoils the game (imo). Spending for Style (eg. you like the personality and style of the character) makes sense. spending to become overpowered doesn't make sense.
My personal game is: i don't level my characters up beyond ascending at L50. I get them all up to that level. It's not a huge burden because you don't needs massive amounts of materials. I've found that accumulating and levelling up artifacts makes up for character level. My world level is 6 .. which has the option of lowering to level 5 if i find a challenge too much.

I started fresh when kokomi released last time. You can start fresh as free to play. But there is a side of the game where you are new, you dont know what you need. Timing is the most important. Who your main dps are. After 2 months, your account start to get drained for currency. Then its important that you have what you need. The other thing is the wait time for a character you need. Can take half a year, before you get that character, maby more. So you farm for scraps 14 days at a time, for more scrap. Its not enjoyable tbh

16:22 i'm a bit late however the way to get out of this is use the alt key to activate the mouse and press left click, it worked for me so it should work for you.

they both look good enough for being the MC, but I'd always recommend picking Lumine. She just looks great and is absolutely stunning in cut scenes.
I have so many inactive accounts between ar 5 and 40 on all the different servers, they’re inactive because it gets tiring doing all the quests and exploring again but I have a terrible addiction for wishing so I’ll always go back to the alt accounts just to wish 😭
16:30 click "V" for direction purposes, or "J" to show you the quest log. Might work, I never had that issue and I have like 9 alt accounts

The thing where you are stuck at 16:22 you just need to press Alt and move you curser and click the quest.

for the issue at 16:44 , I press Alt to bring up the cursor, then click on the mission window and it then goes back to normal controls
for OG people that started like really early patches, i remember that paimon find us stranded.
But on new versions WE fish paimon out of the sea.
if your account is old and then you get to the fishing in inazuma, it makes no sense till someone explains this to you
they didn't change that. We always found Paimon first
As someone who has a shit ton of accounts, I plan to start a new account when I start school after next week which will be a no wishing account
When I played the opening to Honkai, that game's characters behaved so bored and annoyed during the entire intro, and there was just so much text dumping going on - it has a terrible opening. However, Genshin gets going right away, and the world is a cheerful, colorful place that you'd actually want to live in. The two games couldn't be any more different in tone and mood.

The thing I hate the most about creating a new account is fishing for The Catch and Pipe Sword again.
Only thing I hate about genshin is how its not very completionist friendly. Sure there is both official and non official interactive maps that show you where all loot is, but you have to select it manually. And if you dare explore without checking it in the map, then haha get rekt bro, check back all possible locations...
I think that cuts both ways. On one hand, if you are guided to everything, then I think it undercuts the completionist thing, because everything is just handed to you. But on the other, it definitely sucks knowing you're missing 2 or 3 chests out of several hundred, and you really, really don't want to do all searching.
The compass is nice in that regard, letting you explore first, then find chests you missed later, but it only detects chests, not things that spawn chests.

Bro, my only main DPS for the longest time. Was razor. Because I started a new account in a different server to play with some friends. And I still don’t have any good/ any hydro characters besides the one you get for free.

I started a new account last week with a fresh perspective on the game. I dont rush archon Quest. I basically do 3 per week. I follow the experience journal a lot, which is really perfectly designed to never make you handicap for the next story. For example, at Ar 28, my lisa atk is 1k, and i thought that was not good enough until i fought childe and defeated him in 2 min thereabout. Dragonspine was really fun if you have a decent pyro character(not Amber). Just finished liyue quest, and i really liked the experience better than my previous playthrough. All in all, take things slow. Enjoy the game, cook some foods, buy some toys, read some books, lores.
my ftp account got so much better after somehow getting furina and navia along with charlotte ! just hit lvl 50

u didnt need to log out, for any game that locks bcuz its 3rd person or 1st person u just hold alt and u can use your mouse key

I’m not sure if it’s a bug or meant to be like this 16:55, but for me I use my cursor to click on the highlighted area and it continues like normal every time for me
i started playing genshin sometime in august 2023 and as of today i am done with all archon quests, ar53, have multiple decently built characters and am working on getting the whole world 100%, so in my opinion, genshin is really not that hard to progress
Of course it’s not hard to progress when you have 5 regions worth of content to do that’s common sense. There’s way more stuff to do in the game now than there was at the beginning. It’s a massive difference.
