So, what a second, is this system before they instituted the complete system replacement warranty when you have a compressor or condenser failure? It has the 12-year parts warranty, but I am curious when the switch was made to the full system replacement, even the Amana and some Goodman have the full replacement warranty now. This switch must have happened before I became a deal for Daikin/Amana. I have had a fellow colleague receive a complete swap out of a heat pump outdoor unit because of a failed system.
If you look on you tube long enough your'e going to come across all kinds of crap. Oh by the way good video. One the leak was not at the bottom of the coil, two the manufacture is searching for a reason that their coils are failing. They need to use thicker copper if that's what they use. It's at the bend of the coil and that's where the velocity speeds up and scouring happens it slowly eats away at the return bend. The manufacture will let the customer do the research and development for them.
That was an excellent repair. Exactly to factory specifications and done properly from start to finish. Great stuff. 🇬🇧
Thank you. I am literally about to do the exact coil replacement on the exact outdoor unit!
Nice watching an overview first
Nice professional troubleshooting and repair. Use a set of analog gauges when the system has dye.
Another great job

Hey there where did you order your coil from? Directly from diakin? Any recommendations ?
From the local Daikin distributor.

Should be able to use some pressurized isopropyl alcohol to wash um out...make a little flush tank with a old reciver....
That’s a great idea!
