I just restarted to play it after 8 months break. While there are still annoying issues, like dead parks, corrupt economy, homeless issues etc..the game is in a much better state overall, and we are able to create some vibrant cities. Looking forward for the upcoming patches and dlc packs! Public transport revolution and some industry upgrades would be essential!

One thing to take away from these two packs is that modders are going to be able to make so many incredible assets whenever they finally release the editor. Also while I love the mixed use buildings, we really need some asset packs for everything but mixed use buildings now lol.

Not usually a modern architecture guy but these assets look incredible. I think they will make for great downtowns. They also look like they'll work well with vanilla and region pack assets

There is no industry simulation 1 year after release, zoned industry cannot even sell their products to local industry, no truck traffic, only commuters. Game is still in pre-release version

I wasn't or not so certain. It appears that industrial areas are sending out industry traffic; however, it also appears it is only sending it out of the city not locally.

I ABSOLUTELY love both of these DLCs. They all look very modern and I bet that many of these assets will be used in downtowns/city centers. Some of my favorite assets are the local train station (with the modern station entrance upgrade), moMA, modern community college, urban elementary school and the urban medical center.

I do agree, this is really good, reminds me of CS1 content creator packs, the modern architecture style, even more when the service buildings are unique, they tell a lot of story, but someday I hope they make a old looking style to buildings too, I think we should be able to look into the past and move forward to the future with the style of assets...
Also I need to talk about that bold move to make those train stations upgrades change the look of the assets drastically, it reminds me of what Transport Fever 2 is capable because of Modular mechanics, I think there's more potential to this Upgrade feature, I still believe we should get a regular looking facility for those services, and be able to upgrade it and give a characteristic to it, instead of few options for few upgrades, I think they should give more options, in a way you can just change the asset footprint more than once, like, instead of having lots of train stations for small region to bigger towns, I believe a regular one, with amall features having the ultimate option to change and get bigger, like a transition from simplistic to modern building with lots of options for upgrades is the right way, what I thought, modular mechanics are the future of this game, should be a thing, could definitely help...
Which is something I have thought about before, when I was dreaming of CS sequel...in my idea, we should be capable of making our own service buildings, utilities, facilities, all the category having a modular set up, I thought about it but taking inspirations from games like The Sims, House Flipper, and even Software Inc. simulation of companies, there's a better example, you can literally building your own building fir your company, I'm always hearing people talking about Asset Editor, and for me it feels like a outsider mechanic, not in game, in real time, you probably need to leave your city game, click on asset editor, like map editor, but in my head I could like to see something you should be able to do in game, on your city, no other extension, a tool in the game, where you can create a asset, and specify the types, work with asset zone, size of the buildings, and parts of assets where you can customize your own, you could make lots of new assets by yourself, and it should be the bridge for players to make their own assets, share them with other players, so people can use them too, challenge events, tournament for asset creation, imagine that, Cities Skylines 2 would be completely different from the first one in a incredible way.... It could be a good timeline of CS2 to live if we were able to do such a thing 😢🤔 I wonder if it's still possible, the game is new, developers are doomed to fix the game until they give up from stress....we cannot deny in this moment the game needs updates to the game, adjustments, fix everything wrong, give everything people want....in a short time 💀 Cities Skylines 1 took 8 years to really look good, because of mods, but the vanilla game was left abandoned, seems to be happening again to CS2, why vanilla has to be a thing 🤔 I think the game SHOULD look properly good without DLCs as a paytowin route, important things will be locked on DLC, there's possibility we will have to buy a bike lane feature that should be the game when it came out to be locked in paid content.... I'm upset that it seems like the developers aren't going to make more updates to the game to add stuff needed, the same excuses from CS1 happening again...watch out everybody, there's a chance that needed features will be paid content in the future, so regular people buying the game stripped naked vanilla, no mods no DLC content will suffer a lot, try to play Cities Skylines 1 without anything, you will get bored....the vanilla thing, I see as a curse, because we all should agree, CS2 had to stay in early access estate, continuing to get updates, just like Workers and Resources Soviet Republic did successfully until it's release, this is how Cities Skylines 2 should be like 😢.... I'm still upset tho, I really wanted a lot more than the game provided... I still have mixed feelings, love and hate, but I love the game, I care about it all the time, even if it backstabs me, I still dream about it's future 😟
This DLC probably got me happy, I want more content creators to do it more often, but it's been difficult to them, because their creativity are limited by the developers, they can't do everything, no asset editor makes things more complicated than normal in this rough beginning... Those Region Packs content, to me feels like most of them didn't want to deal with the unit and plot sizes limitations, they are forced to respect the code of the game, they can't make more realistic buildings with real sizes if they need to fit everything from 1x6 sizes...😢 If the tiles and grud mechanics in the code was never a thing, it could look beautiful little Manor Lords buildings, they look amazing with their accurate sizes, not stuck in the format of the code....i even thought about a way to modify it, but removing that barrer limit, and have a additional units around it that lets the asset creator do the sizes they want for the building, and not be forced to put them on 6x6 slot for bigger designs, I think even the small plots in reality could have a large area, but not utilized, but though years, the assets levels up, and takes the empty spaces and those buildings will look more like level 5 but in low to small plots, it will definitely impact the prices, but if it already has a big plot size but the building in it is small, it gives options to leveling up buildings to just grow smoothly, and not needed to zone bigger units to spawn 5 to 6 units....idk if people can understand that 🤔 I'm just yapping 😂
I even wonder if Cities Skylines 2 can redo things from scratch, like removing the grids from zones entirely and make it more similar to Manor Lords or even utilize the real life methods, with mechanics to lay down those plots with a defined format, I think Cities XXL tried to do it in the past, ai just don't like the gaps and empty spaces, fences not connecting to other buildings around it, or angles, CS2 doesn't like any angles, everything must be a square 💀 Manor Lord was able to cook....in my head I think there should be a way of the developers to get some modders and content creators to make a powerful mod to make the plots in a better way and actually be able to replace what's in the game, and it could be the most gaming changer feature ever, Cities Skylines 2 seems to have room for those options, so if the developers have a meeting and talk about it, that could be the best update ever, get rid of grids, units plots, and make a realistic tool like those city planning projects for neighborhoods and make it into the game to replace the old and outdated mechanic entirely....oh man I need to stop cooking without knowing if I have any point, I might be going insane 😂 I really don't know.... just wanted to see if it's possible.... I'm powerless, those who can have a meeting with the developers have a lot of power of speech 🤔 hmmm..

Collosal has always done this. Plus as the other comment said, these were all announced before the game was released.

I am curious if these dlc are store with the main game or with those mods in the system drive(c:)? The UK pack make me realise the devs are storing these packs other than the player intend the game files are supposed preferred by us players. I don’t even have space for windows let alone available space for these packs. And yes it would affect my decision to get them if I can’t even afford space to run them I wouldn’t get them.
