My current favorite mic is the Warm WA-8000, also the Mojave MA-300 is a damn good option as well!

The Rode K2 is really great. I own a Blue Blueberry ,Rode K2, and TLM 102. They all sound fantastic going through my heritage audio 1073.

How about setting up the booth? Do you use ethercon connections... standard snakes? What can you share with us about connecting to the booth?

I use SM57s and AT2020s. Have done for years and had no complaints re quality. Learn your way around those preamps and your desk!

I enjoy that 421 for close pianos and guitar amps

Yes, the 421 is a great choice! I actually don't have one right now, but I'm going to add one again in the not so distant future.

One thing about the videos you have here. I've been noticing a bit of inconsistency from video to video. I do understand that every video scene is different and requires difrerent things, but I notice in this video in particular your color grading shifts a little bit back and forth between warm and cool colors. I don't know if you're doing that by automation or if your camera is the cause. It's just something I noticed :) No Ill Will held against you, Just thought I'd point out something you may have not noticed :) Much love, loving the videos!

Thanks for the feedback. You are correct on the color grading and temperature. I’m constantly playing with it to see what I like. For better or for worse!
In my new studio I have a prominent window which can be problematic. I’m hoping I find a setup I like soon. I’m much more of an audio guy so I’m still more in the experimental phase with video. My camera is a BlackMagic pocket Cinema as well which gives me control over too many options more than likely.
