Loving the set up! If you like the barefoots but are looking for a more detailed low end in a small form factor take a look at the Kerr acoustic k300’s. Really clean low end and small footprint

This is probably my favorite of Andrews vids so far. Not only because your studio is so awesome, it’s also “accessible”. I feel like I could work forever in there, and that, if I work hard, a setup like this, (and professional music/mixes) is possible, and not so out-of-reach. While all the other studios are inspiring, they also seem “out of-reach” like trying to ask-out Kim kardashian or Meghan Fox on a date. Whereas, your studio is like that beautiful girl, runway model, super popular, who’s still somehow so human, & down-to-earth, you just might… have a chance with. Plus, of all the people Andrew has interviewed, you seem so cool and genuine, I feel like you & I could be friends. You, more than any piece of equipment you could possibly ever have, are the best advertisement for your studio/services, & it’s why I plan on contacting you in the future.
Hope you’re into Romanian folk, with a twist of Brazilian rumba, mixed in with Peruvian flute (that’s also heavy on the kazoo and didgeridoo) over a foundation of Icelandic hip hop jazz fusion, layered on a soundscape of neo-ancient Mongolian war dance bass music…
      ……..Cuz IMA COMIN!!……

This is minimalist ?! I just want to record. I have 2 cassette players that can record with built in mics. I record myself playing 1 instrument, then play over the top of that recording while its played back with another instrument while recording with the other cassette player until I've stacked all recordings of all my instruments together with my vocal for a rough draft for musicians to learn from so it can be performed. I've talked to a lot of studios with cash in hand with no result. Either they're a flake or they treat me like I'm trying out for a recording contract. If they like a different genre than i play they're not interested. If I had a recording studio I would take money from people that suck too. The more I search this topic the more I realize that I can't even have a conversation about it until I'm a college graduate, and I can't shop for it until I rob a bank. Most of the world doesn't understand terms like panning and pre amp and analog and clipping and that's why it isn't available to the masses. It's a terrible disservice to the art as a whole because it keeps artists from platforms. The technology is there its just not made in a user friendly format. Am I wrong?...because I have money. Will guitar center record me? Is there software in a language other than college? Will Rosetta stone teach me to speak college? I remember a beer commercial with doctor Dre doing his work on a device that fit in his lap on an airplane. Portable minimalist recording would spark my interest. There's gotta be a better way because I do ok with 2 cheap, outdated radios all by myself without speaking college. I couldn't trade my recording gear for a 6 pack of beer but what it's done for me is priceless. Somebody point me somewhere please...I need help.

If I can add something about the speaker stands and the barefoot, it will be interesting to check the difference with different speaker stands, just because barefoot are manufacturing all the product the same way, I mean that the box of the speaker itself is completely disconnected from everything inside, try to put a plastic glass of water on any barefoot and push the sound as loud as you can, you will not see any water vibration.
Here a video of the French distributor (sorry it's a bit old): th-cam.com/video/VN4prUJnlr0/w-d-xo.html

This is exactly what i'm doing with onr of my bedrooms , a home studio music . All my gear i been buying for the last two years from deal i got on Facebook market and ebay. I want to go dawless as much as i can , so i brought days ago the Tascam Model 12 and this being the only gear that i brought new . I have 11 guitars that i brought for rediculous low prices and all of them today they have duplicate and triplicate the price i paid for . I always tell my friends , if they want invest their money , guitars market is amazing how it works . This morning i just win a bid on ebay on 4 Ghost Acoustics , sound proofing panels , €300 the cheaper i found in Internet was €1200 . This panels are made in partnership with sE electronics.
Yesterday on Facebook market i got the sE Space Reflection filter for €30.
From Chash and Converters i got ADM-5 active monitor for £49 , they are not the best quality monitors but i believe it will do the job .
Two years ago i brought the Korg SP170S piano for €50 and the Pear Export full drum kit for €80.
Last week i got from ebay the korg Microkorg Xl Plus for €200 , never used still was in the box . I got twobyears ago for €175 , the Marshall Avt150h, with the respective speakers cabinet , the Marshall 4x12 and the Marshall AS80R Soilist for €80. I brought 4 months ago the microphone MLX990 in the box as new for €40 and a dynamic microphone Phonic DM 690with the stand for €15 . Just before Christmas i brought the Boss VE500 pedal forv€180 and the Boss MD500 fir €160 , both from ebay . Also i got he Boss PW10 V for €50 and the Boss RC2 for looper Station for £40. Waiting to arrive the AKG K275 headphones also from ebay for €55 almost new with all accessories and box.
Has been a big adventure loke driving 10h to pick up The Yamaha APX10NA , beautiful and amazing sounding guitar , but really worth the travel and the value i paid £600 , as they worth the double at least .
Same like the Ibanez AR725 , beautiful guitar , sounds amazing , paid £280 , also the value , it worth more than double for whatvi been seen . As been a limited edition From Ibanez only produce in 2016 and all premium quality spec and construction , i can only see this guitar , very soon be a collectors guitar . Of course who doesn't ever have dreamed with a pink guitar? Also from Ebay i got this Fender Baja Telecaster custom shop design pink shell from 2018 for €550, beautiful guitar and sounds amazing. Not sure if true but for what i research looks like this model Fender Baja Telecaster Custom shop design pink Shell was only mad for the British market and only 250 units where made . Another bargain a Fender Stratocaster 50s reissue Dakota Red from 2002 for £275 , really a bargain and when you want that , Dakota Red guitar and finally you found it for a bargain , automatically you feel the happiness .
From someone who plays in the Sweden orchestra I brought forv £120 the Fender GA43SEC , beautifully and quality build and sounds great .
Because i didn't know about G&L i got curious and for £175 i brought the G&l Legacy Stratocaster in red fiesta ( sadly couldn't find in dakota red , as is my favourite colour in Stratocaster.
Ortega R122 3/4 and Ibanez AEG10II for €150 , Squire bullet telecaster in Butterscotch for , quite a sweet guitar .
As we know guitars are never enough, i needed to have, the Yamaha SLG200S and the Yamaha SLG200N , one costed £280 and the other £300 , both as new with all accessories and respective cases /bag . They really sound amazing the SRT system is beautiful . But not always, everything went well , like i win an auction on ebay for the 2017 Gibson Les Paul Standard Hp in bourbon burst AAAA+, beautiful beautiful guitar , but when i was going to pay , pay pal declined pay later in 3 times ! I contacted them and they told me i needed to wait 6 months to have that option , pay in 3 times. The price of that amazing beautiful guitar was £1400 , with box and all candy .
After a year i still feel that i will never find that same , yearc, model , colour , guitar for that same price !
I think i didn't miss anything but if i will add to my long writing journey in buying music gear to build my own music studio to bring friends and people to play in it . I am a just few weeks of getting my home studio music setup and i can't wait !
I forgot i brought last summer the Alesis Strike Multipad for £360 , is a good quality sounding instrument .
