INTP. I'm pretty outgoing and need socialization at least once a week.. But I get mega exhausted super quickly from it loool I like people but LOVE being with myself and my cat a book😂💗
This was so fascinating! Sometimes-like in the case of this video-I run to the comment section to share my thoughts. But sometimes I genuinely don't know what I think until I start talking to someone. Experience has taught me to be more reserved and make sure I'm not running over others with what I have to say (which I have been known to do at times). I still feel like the "ambivert" description fits me. Loved this video!
I find people with Te are actually very fast at mental arithmetic. Faster probably than a Ti user. I think this is because the Te user is focused fully on the output/result (i.e the number. "Quick!!! Get the number!!!") Whereas a Ti user is more focussed on the process of how it came about. The Te is poised for speed of the result and gains satisfaction from mainly the result. The Ti is poised for analysing or picturing/understanding how we got from A to B and gains satisfaction from the little moments where they go "ah...hmm ok i get it" One if my friends is an enfp and it blows me away how fast he does mental arithmetic sometimes.
And yes i know its fucking dumb to care about how you got to a number from mental arithmetic. The truth is i dont actually really care tbh. What im talking about is like how the mind is poised. if someone asks me to do mental arithmetic i might take like half an hour (slight exageration) thinking slowly through each step. Its like the Ti wants to create a sequence of thread of understanding from the start of the process to the end. If there is a blip or jump just to get the result.... This will annoy the intp as theres like a blind spot to them (even though we now have the answer or result it isnt really satisfying)
@@snudgegalbraith3447 My father (Te) used to work as an accountant in a bank and to this day he never forgets a number, which my distracted mind finds baffling! @@snudgegalbraith3447 Honestly no, my brother (Ti) has an eidetic memory for numbers and everything else as well, just like my father, mother and sister, but since he’s autistic and has ADHD, maybe that impacts his level of interest in something 🪃. He memorises formulas, after understanding them, very easily. I think we are all born with these abilities, but once you go through the often-times repetitive and little-varied school system, the general population tends to forget they can use them at all, or only have little conscious control of it. yes, they're confusing so many things. as you said once, introversion is not the same as being reserved. one thing that makes me wonder time to time is this trend of most people identifying themselves (out loud) as introverts, specially in social media. i mean, bruh. is this related to people mistyping themselves as infj, ...? what's wrong with being your authentic type, while nobody is threatening them to be otherwise. i like the video references btw, specially that ted talk :) also, a few days ago for the nth time i wanted to install the discord app and sign up for the first time, but i didn't. the idea of having (fast) simultaneous chats with multiple people while they're talking to each other as well, scares the shit out of me; i.e. the very meaning of the word 'discord', actually. i envy you guys :')
Well, first of all you look great, and secondly, I really like this video, at first I was like wait could I be an ENFJ instead of an INFJ and then you mentioned the part of checking to see how info fits into your framework and then I was like and yea, thats what I do that most, I go as far as literally just blanking out for a few minutes (to hours xD), especially if a lot has happened since I had my own time. Anyway like always, great video
I have seen so many INxJs who literally just can't move forward until they make sense of the new info, and i'm like "it's not that different" but I think you all need to let it mull in the mind longer to make sure it does actually make sense

Good job going in-depth over what it really means to be an introvert or extrovert, as opposed to the cliche "You talk too much! You must be an extrovert!" If it doesn't bother you for me to ask, it seems our interview has been taken down. Did I do or say something wrong?
