As an ENFP, something i often think is: what will people think about what I say, will they say im right? Will they disagree? This is how i narrow logic down often. This means its internally formulated, but I’m forming it off my ideas of other people’s logic. Te is fun 🤩

@@PsychologyandChillwMichi Alright, here's how I experience Ti: The mother is Logic. Logic has given birth to twin sons, named Te and Ti. Ti organises everything he finds. Every newspaper, magazine, recipe book, textbook, manual and every piece of mail that has ever arrived at the house - every bit of information has been organised and categorised by Ti. It's his reason for being. Since the house is an ENTP, Ti's father is Ne. Every day his father goes out and collects... everything. Flyers, gum wrappers, abandoned shoes, unicorn hairs, spring water. When he gets home he dumps it all on the table and Ti does what he's built for. His sister Fe is really good at taking what he's organised and handing it out to people. But since he's bigger, he's in charge (Mom said so), so if the crowd gets irritating, Ti WILL yell facts at them with no regard for whether they like it, while Fe shrugs and goes, "Welp, you asked for it." Their baby brother is Si. His deep memory is frighteningly acute. Whatever Ti organises, he knows exactly where it is and when to retrieve it. He and his big brother make a formidable pair, and often enter debate tournaments together. Fe participates if it's a friendly match; if it's business, she's not interested. (Si can never remind anyone in the house to be on time for stuff tho, because, well, he's a baby.) If Fe hangs out with Si, she gets super nostalgic and wants to read all the old crap that he finds in the basement. But that's best done in small doses, because if she hangs out with him too much, the past becomes a burden and then Ti hates her and the whole family has to go for counselling. I mentioned that Ti and Te are twins. Why doesn't Te live with them? They were separated at birth. No-one knows where Te is now or what he's doing.
That statement helps me more than the examples. How people feel sometimes is irrelevant, feelings can muddy the waters, actually feelings can be the problem hiding the solution to the problem ABOUT feelings. When you are emotional about something you can't make rational decisions. So I would look at feelings logically as part of the problem.
Yes! I think the trick is to get into the headspace where you separate from the feelings without repressing them. Then they just become information, valuable for whatever they're signaling. (E.g. turns out I have a boundary here or a need that is unexpressed.) Then the thinking function can be harnessed to address the root.

Hard to tell just from reading what you've written here, because I think a lot of these could go both ways. What if I would say I have to honor what is the right thing to do, but only if it’s necessary? I’ve been professionally typed ENFP,INFP, INTP and ISTJ. Part of the question may be how do I decide what is right, I’d say I have a gut emotional response and then dig it apart to confirm that it makes sense to me. That might seem small, but it helped me a lot!
Glad it helped! The terminology can be challenging to work with because there are so many ambiguities in language. With Oe / Oi, I think it best boils down to a knee-jerk sense that either 'less is more' or 'more is never enough.' Something like that, anyhow!
@@AutoAlchemy Agree on language ambiguities! Thanks - that’s such an easy/concise way to think about it 👌 I’m new to your channel and will look around to see if you’ve already made these, but if not, I’d enjoy hearing your explanation on other OP concepts!
The problem I have with the whole jumper thing, is that for me and others I have observed, the prioritization of the middle functions is not static. People are way more complex and people sometimes prioritize their second and sometimes prioritize the third function, depending on the situation. Or sometimes depending on how much they trust someone, or they could be on an stage where they prioritize the third function right now, and one year later they go back to prioritizing the second one. Overly categorizing the way Op tries to do, makes things to rigid and do not leave a lot of room for nuance, that I have observed real humans have. The same goes for the whole animals system, people change, and through maturity they learn to balance functions and animals. For example, my ESFP brother, he used to be pure Se Fi, with masculine Fi (very masculine) when he was younger, and he had blast last or third.... Now, he is nothing but Se Te, and Fi rarely shows up, his Te seems pretty masculine now, and now he is full blast. Basically the functions are the same, but the whole way he uses them changed so drastically he seems like a completely different person now. And that is not rare, I have changed so much from who i was, when I was younger I was mostly a TI machine and now I use Fe more with people than Ti. Overly categorizing, might seem it might seem to make things more accurate at first look, but in reality it can kill nuance because it leaves no room for change. Also so many people I know, specially when mature, have both of their middle functions fairly balanced.
I think those are really great points. I think that if Dave and Shan did a better job of positioning the system within a conventional Jungian frame of personality lifespan development, this would not be such a problem. For example, you mention balance and maturity, and the way I interpret OP it is explicitly about imbalance. It is a catalogue of the various ways in which people can get imbalanced while on autopilot. But as we age, we learn to differentiate the ego (as a neutral commander) from the ego-identified complexes of our savior functions, and we open ourselves up to the full arsenal of psychological perspectives. Thanks for sharing!

Mmm. I may be explaining it badly. I think all types can be selfish in their own way. It's what happens when we let ourselves indulge in our one-sided preferences while missing out on the spectrum of cognitive modes.
@@AutoAlchemy "ENFP NeFi I have to follow what matters to me regardless whether it works for others". These statements really help me figure out which type I am. @@shelleywinters6763 I see what you're saying and also why that might seem selfish! At the same time "what matters to me" can easily include other people, important ethical causes, etc. But you may still see the villain of the story as 'others' in a broad sense of collective groupthink, masses of people who fail to see what matters, etc. You probably do better with connecting to people on the individual level.
@@AutoAlchemy I have another interpretation of the statement now, if I factor in helping groups, championing causes. That is: to do what I have considered is best for everyone and not just a few individuals. It may not work for some people, but it works for me and I think it works for most people? Na can't be right, that sounds more like ENTP. That's what I would do. If I think my actions benefit the majority, regardless of what a loud minority might think, I would stick with my view and disregard them. I scored 43% on F, which could be wrong, I might be closer to 50%. That would confuse things :-) If a group let me lead them, I would decide what was best for most of the group. If there was an individual with a strong objection, I may attempt to accommodate them, otherrwise majority rules

Sorry I somehow missed some older comments on my channel! Glad you got something out of this video. I wonder which types you put in the category of types you're 'waaaay less likely to be.' Color me curious. :P
I've struggled with these, intjs always call me a enfp, but my intp friend said he sees my fe and fi are equal, but my Ti is stronger even tho I'm a ne its not as high as my ti but he said you are deffo entp but healthy.. but I'm no intp.
Bravo! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed!
Did you said my enfp ex ?
Do you have enfp girlfriend?
If you have i want some tips about the relationship between them?
omg ty! i I finaly know after an hour of 5 that im an enfp
Glad it helped!
You should do some enneagram videos
I'll consider it! I'm not that well-versed so I'll have to teach myself.
#enfpgang that jumper status stung. Also “Non Tin Foil Hat Guide to EMF’s” by Nicholas Pineault will ease the “C” word around the 5G into something logically palatable for ya. I wonder there are legit sensory impact on the molecular functionality both from non-native emf, as well as perceived threat from non-native emf. And when they are both together... well if doesn’t matter for an Ne heavy weight because the body doesn’t really exist.... until it deteriorates to the point of shaking up the structural foundations of the mental world! Just preaching my demons over here. 😉
Will look into it :) Thanks for resource
Speaking of consiousness, wanted to share something. Have you heard of the ORCH OR theory of consciousness? Its not so much mbti related but more on how consiousness happens and is by someone who has been an annesthesiologist for a career. Maybe something interesting to feed the gatherer.
Never heard of it! Adding it to my Consume-queue. Thank you.
the NeFi of ENFP sounds selfish or am I interpreting it wrong?
I have a strong F rating and I have struggled with being over emotional.
I have to study it closer.
No, I don't think you're excplaining it badly. I have my life experiences creating a personal reading.
I just expected an ENFP to be more attentive to people's needs and feelings than an ENTP, especially feelings.
I'm not well informed on personality types, so don't mind me miss interpreting things. I need to learn more.
Thank you for your video. It's very helpful
That would confuse things :-)
If a group let me lead them, I would decide what was best for most of the group. If there was an individual with a strong objection, I may attempt to accommodate them, otherrwise majority rules
ENTP > trash ENFP
Amazing Video As always.
Thanks so much for making this. I'm finally sure I'm an ENTP.
But....OMG you finally made this.
I'm sorry I've been cursed by a mage to become a scythe. I was previously ChaosLord_AE
(I made a bet and I lost basically.) Now I roam the streets of TH-cam as a scythe.
Hahaha. I could sense your soul somewhere beyond your words. Glad you're still around in some guise! I'm a big fan of scythes since way back
@@AutoAlchemy I'll always be here bro.
Life's a party and I'm a boy
GOOD VIDEO. ENFP here.
Thanks! It means a lot!
Wow thanks!
No problem! Hope it helped!
@@AutoAlchemy A million times, yes! The way its presented helped me to finally distinguish accurately between my ENTP f23 & ENFP M24 friends.
To me, when things are running smoothly it might be difficult to view the difference, or when people meet them for the first time, could be only my observation not sure thou. Any thoughts Jeff?
I love how ENTPs hold to the facts, couldn’t care less if they get off topic and talk about everything, they are creative intellectual individuals am grateful to their insights.
Also, the way ENFPs are able to still demonstrate their thoughts yet still validate what matters to people, in a gentle way is fascinating.
@@AutoAlchemy 7:49 was on spot^^
Why does this guy look like steven Schapiro from daily dropout !
Never heard of him but just looked him up... Dang, I can see it but wouldn't have had the thought myself
Dude, you are an ISFP. ENTP cause chaos and point out everyones logical failures and they make videos about it. You turn your thoughts and feelings into art like an ISFP...ENFP
I wonder how many people think they're dom ne but rlly they just have adhd
Lol for sure, that's a legit problem
no hat, unsubbed 😔
I wear many hats, most of them metaphorical. :O
lol
