Hey bud when using telescoping gauges you need to hold them at a angle so they are at their longest point tighten than straighten them up I bet those jugs was a lot closer in tolerance than what you got than also a set of calipers are only good to a couple thousandths especially cheap ones you need to measure with micrometers the best way is to get a set of id mics . Love your videos
Inside outside micrometer, or just micrometer, or calipers, verniers, vernier caliper are all used interchangeably in every industrial setting I've ever seen. Google micrometer, inside outside, Mike's pop up first, then the traditional outside mikes your talking about.

What digital gage you using
Just a semi cheap micrometer.
Those are not Micrometers. Those are digital calipers.
