No Dipanshu. I don't think so. It's just a way for chords to connect smoother. You should also practice chord shifting without the pedal to ensure that the posture and technique is applied
The pedal is basically a mean to sustain your notes when shifting to other notes to keep tonality of the played note continues, it really helpd in giving that legato texture. Hope this helps u out!!
