I absolutely adore the fact that you're showing an already (very!) used lipstick because it shows how much you use it. Most people purchase nice things and keep them on the drawer because they “save” them for nice occasions and the problem is that they buy things and never use them. The base of a good minimalistic lifestyle is to buy nice quality things and actually using them, otherwise what do we buy them for?
My backpack - because I don't drive my backpack is my constant companion. I take great care to buy exactly what I want and don't compromise. My rice cooker which is also a slow cooker. The most used thing in my kitchen. My three gold rings, one from my grandmother, one from my best friend, one from my self.
ah, yes, one day david will be furry enough... that being said, i love the principles you live your life with! it's all about love, comfort, education and creativity!
Love that you chose the Canadian Kobo and SO agree with your Elisabeth Strout recommendation. 😊 Love your channel and aesthetic Jenny 😊 P.S wearing Monica now ❤
Love these types of videos! My essentials would be my books, lipstick, black/white tops with jeans, my two vintage Lapponia rings, jazz or 70s music and Greek food.
I want to say that an essential for me to feel happy in my home is to have something living in it, like my plants and my pets. Of course, a deserted island would still have plenty of those, so I don't think it counts 🤭
I absolutely love my Espresso Machine (it can also foam milk and dispense hot water for tea), my Birkenstock sandals (so comfy and wearable to almost everything) and my iPad with the pen because I can then just leave my phone in one place at home and use the internet without distractions if needed (+ very helping for uni). These things never fail to make my life a lot more comfortable and if they would ever break, I would absolutely buy them again straight on that day. By the way- I would be very interested in a kitchen video! I cannot remember ever seeing your kitchen and I don’t know if it’s a big thing for you, but I myself really enjoy cooking and improving my kitchen to practicality, organisation and a homey beautiful look so I would be very keen about a video from you about it.
My favorite pastime was always reading, up to 18 hours/day when I could get away with it. Even when working an incredibly long day, I had to have an hour of reading in the morning and evening, as a minimum. It helps me both wake up and fall asleep. Lately, I’ve been listening to audiobooks, mostly, instead. They’re great, but I definitely have more of a tendency to doze off when listening only. History is my favorite category. Other media seem so boring, I just wandered off as a kid when the TV was on, and found my, much more interesting, book. I do enjoy fashion and history YT, but have yet to start up either of my TVs, bought ten years ago for house guests. (I watch YT on my iPad).
Decent clothes are hard to wear currently when I'm walking dogs. On a dessert island I'd want internet, books, sunscreen, and a skin care regime , filtered water, my multivitamins, and my bear
Cats, yoga, salsa dance, family, good friends, rose clay soap, coconut oil/shea butter, poetry, rose tea, my art and chandeliers, satin duvet, skirts ;)
Music and books too !!! And chocolate that is one thing I can’t live without, and growing to an adult I discovered good chocolate and jettison the milka..ect greasy/sugar chocolate. And my necklace /essential oils roller from roadkillsgem, it has a clear crystal. Pretty and functional accessory « chef kiss »
As an avid tea drinker, I love the pot you use to keep your tea warm. Can you share where you got it from? I'm searching online but cannot find anything similar. Thank you!!
MUSIC is the answer!! I must have a Good, LOUD sound system. (good thing i don't live in an apartment) It may be a bit extreme that we have excellent sound systems in every room. The basement has a dj booth and a sound system in my little studio in the basement. must have #techno music!!!!
I couldn't live without my Kindle - books, AD and fashion magazines, TH-cam. I've been addicted to Dimash Qudaibergen's music for a few years now and find it difficult to listen to anything else, but I do listen to my occasional favorite classical pieces. Assam tea. And maybe a bag of bullseye caramel candies. A pair of jeans and a big soft sweater and I'm good to go.
Orangy reds 💄 are not for me as my skin is blue undertoned : pink fair with no golden pigmentations. So blue undertoned lipsticks like raspberry reds are just for me and they do the job of making my mood happier
My essentials are my husband, Bible, notebooks, books, art supplies, a pack of cards, lipsticks, eyeshadow and mascara. Earrings. Coffee. Chocolate. My cats, My husband would want his DVDs. Computer. Kathy B
More like stranded in the next lock down as needing the internet and mains power for too many items. An Anniversary clock - the 25th Anniversary clock I purchased for my parents in 1977 is mechanical and runs for 400 days. Skeleton mechanical pocket watch - when wandering around the dessert island for food. Swiss Champ pocket knife. So many tools although a full set of saws and wood working tools would be nice. Pressure cooker - my lifeline when as a student I had one slow hot plate and a grill My solar powered charger so I could use my phone or tablet to listen to music or read a book. my pocket hard drive as it has thousands of books on it and 108 days of audio, 30 years of e-mails and correspondence and most of my photographs going back to my grandparents in 1910.
Hi Jenny and/or community! What make-up/brands do you (Jenny) use? I'm looking for new products that are vegan and cruelty-free, but also want to shop items that adhere to higher safety/toxicity standards (compared to those here in the U.S.).

I cannot live without tea, comfy pants and youtube videos. I love the eyeshadow you wear. Would you share the make?
Music, humor and books, get me through everything and yes...you guessed it... my cat!

Thanks Jenny Mustard!

Mom was a natural minimalist and she only had one lipstick in red.
