wow awesome finds at the pawnshop. once i moved and sold all of my years of dvd and bluray collecting to save room in truck. sold lots of old rare stuff, flat rate. still regret it. NEVER sell your collection under any circumstance, even if you are destitute, or youll regret it!
Hey Shawn, I know this is from last year, but where do you see if a dvd is out of print, or never came into blu-ray? Do you check lists or just search for tittles you want and realize they are out of print? Where did you get that knowledge?
I remember under wraps on the Disney channel, that movie is a child hood memory of mine I love that film among other great films that people have forgotten like brink & Susie Q. I also saw pee wees big adventure for the first time on the Disney channel back in that time. Really cool you found that under wraps dvd.
Where do you find your out-of-print DVD list, or do you look at each one up on Amazon or something?Do you sell the 00P you discover on Amazon? I know that last exorbitant prices for them, are you actually able to sell them relatively quickly?
I found a VHS copy of Freeway 2 here in Edmonton a few weeks ago and knew right away that you had not recently hunted in that particular thrift store. It was in the 3 for a loonie bin eh. When I find another copy I'll send it to you assuming you have a P.O. box or something. Thanks for making videos!
That's great how you found those rare ones! I've hunted around too, and love it when it's a find everyone else has looked over. But would probably kick themselves if they only knew. Fast, Cheap, And Out Of Control is a rare Errol Morris film I got for like $5. And I still think it's one of his best still. Sadly though, most of the great finds and deals I got were when DVD stores were going out of business here in Toronto. Talk about vultures! LOL Wish we had more swap meets and flea markets up here like you got.
Congrats on getting that "white whale" Under Wraps. Oooh Sea Quest DSV I too haven't seen that in ages. On a side note about that a few months back I was looking though some boxes and containers in my apartment and found an in box Sea Quest Action Figure I had forgotten I had. The female officer Lt. Hitchcock I think the character name is.
cool pick ups Shawn ... I remember watching Sea Quest I remember the late Jonathan Brandis was on there I liked him in Ladybugs with Rodney Dangerfield
halloween town and underwraps are awesome I miss Disney channel movies they used to be so good also like Johnny tsunami and Brink, Blank Check the paper brigade
Norliss Tapes = Classic 70s occult flick. Good stuff, dude. Dan Curtis was the king of 70s TV horror....Night Stalker, Dark Shadows, Burnt Offerings, and of course, my favorite -- Trilogy of Terror! Those 70s 'TV movies' are FAR better made and VASTLY creepier than 90% of today's horror offerings. Creepy as fuuuuuuuuu in many cases. Check them all out, Shawn, and thank me later.
It is kind of hard finding his movies since Blockbuster home video went out of business I've been looking everywhere for some of these movies. Movies I was used to watching since we used to had Blockbuster around renting out Home Videos on VHS before DVDs came along in the mid-90s 25 years from today.
I am rather new to watching your channel. Playing catch-up on a lot of stuff. Do you watch all of the movies that you buy? Or do you collect just for the sake of collecting?
ONE DOLLAR for underwraps?!??! FUCKING hell lmao i paid like 80 for it!!! it usually goes for 50+ but around Halloween time everyone wants it so the price goes up to like 80+........ so jealous you found that man
Oh I understand that I tend to do that myself. You’ve got to talk faster so you can get all the information in and yet not take all day. Sometimes the little things slip.
When I start to remodel my house and tear out the drywall to put in new insulation I’m going to have to put some creepy looking dolls and teddy bears in the wall. I wish I could see the faces of the people hundreds of years from now when they remodeled my house. LOL
Hey Shawn have you watched Stranger Things on Netflix yet? It's a TV show that's sort of a throwback to 80's horror movies, complete with John Carpenter-like synth music. I think it might be up your alley.
-twister was the fisrt movie I remember watching in cinemas. It was a double feature with Mission Impossible but I fell sleep. The chuck norris movie translation would be Eye for an eye.
I update for the angry birds movie the blu ray will be released on august 16th try to review during the august 16th tuesday shopping blu ray or preordor the movie
Just about every time I watch one of your Rare OOP DVD find videos you always say the entire time, "You never know. You never know." Yet, you are literally putting your hands on the ones that are Rare and OOP. A perfect example is found at the 1 minute and 30 second mark. A Rare and OOP DVD called Fright Night. It's the original of course and is currently valued at $15-$30. I sold the one I found for $25. It was in Like New condition.
It's pretty common and not worth that much actually.. I think he has the Blu-Ray version anyway. Fright Night II on the other hand is a very hard to find DVD.
Hey Shawn, in the past I posted a short video of the French Freeway 2-pack DVD set I bought. I sent a link to Danny, so he could send it to you, but I don't think he ever did. I know you're always on the lookout for the Full Moon DVD of Freeway 2, but I just wanted to let you know that there's another release of it on a French DVD release (you'd need a region-free player though). Both discs have special features not found on the U.S. release DVD's. Anyway, here's a link to the video, if you care to see it: facebook.com/runemesa/videos/1122725171085328/
"off the cuff " at the start of the video Bobo says that when he calls in to Howard when he does not use his question from his note book lol I head you say before you are a fan of his show
ALWAYS go to swapmerts early, pretend youre with a vendor and go in early even. then thry are eager to get money in their pockets, and the best finds are still there, sunday, saturday, 6 am to noon. afternoon is all junk.
Hardcore pawn is so fake!! It's in my neighborhood and they pay $50 and they have their people go over things but I really liked the show until I war there and watched several spots for TV and I just lost so much respect for the owners and the people I did a spot with the Dad but I was just helping my friend carry something in and it's just so cheesy how they operate
It's wild to me.... All of that stuff looks like garbage to me... The SNES games are cool... But everything else looks like people just raided a dump ... It CANT even be worth the gas and time for the sellers!! Mind blowing!
Thanks for reviewing my movie man. Thanks for not giving away any spoilers.
I have been watching these shopping videos since you first starting doing them, waiting for you to find something good--and you finally did! Awesome.
