Let’s see some more 12g cartridge pattern comparisons. Eley, Hull, Gamebore and Fiocchi. This is great stuff to see recoil, sound and pattern. Be nice to see 7.5,8 and 9 for clay shooting.
No of course, just having a bit of fun. Yes it's possible Bryce put the odd flyer through the canvas, though a quick inspection after suggested it was all fine.
Standart flush factory Browning choke tubes do not perform as marked. They have always been mismarked and have less constriction. 1/4 choke has only .004" constriction and 1/2 choke has only .014". If you test a good 1/4 aftermarket extended choke with 0.10 constriction and 1/2 extended choke with 0.20 constriction, probably the patterns will not be much more tighter, but will have less holes and clusters and will be much more uniform.
Thanks for this vid. I'm back shooting after 11 year absence. So have forgotten all I knew lol. What cartridges do you recommend for a semi auto. Armsan.
Try shooting at 40yds with quality cartridges and after reading the paten if not happy, take the gun to a known gunsmith for regulating chokes. After that always use quality cartridges and the gun should shoot constant good patens.
Not the best technique to evaluate pattern, be that to test the gun or the cartridges, off hand shooting makes it unlikely you will be at the same point of aim, then a minimum of three cartridges taking the average much better than one but not as good as ten cartridges, next you need to count the pellet strikes and compare with the number of pellets in a random cartridge or two. Other techniques to evaluate the pattern can all so be used, books are available on the subject. But then life is to short, go shoot.
Well done Bryce. Great to see you looking happy and fulfilled. Keep going buddy.
Great review, cheers. I have this same gun but the Miroku variant, known Downunder as the MK10 -- beautiful shooter!
I have never pattern plated my 1/2 and 1/4 game gun which I use for crop protection and clay shooting but I will now just to see the group.

Shooting a pattern plate with a tent in the background! Good call.
It’s a temporary structure at the shooting ground which provided a useful support for the pattern cards. No campers were harmed in making this video!
I was thinking more of the odd hole through the tent fabric. I didn't for a minute imagine there was anybody actually in it.

Graham I bet your a really fun guy.. 🤦🏻♂️

His b525 and eley select patterns were very poor

I always thought the pattern is determined mainly by the shotgun and the chokes, NOT the cartridges.
Where is a good place to get the pattern plate targets please?
Would be nice to test a few myself.
I find an old roll of wallpaper works for me.
interesting...

This patterning is a bit vague, I think you will never get a perfect pattern every time, it must be impossible do the physic's
