Rabbits groom themselves like cats do, and don’t need to be bathed. The only exception to this is when rabbits with “poopy butt” may need to have a butt bath, which only involves cleaning the rabbit’s genitals and hind quarters. Otherwise rabbits DON'T NEED to be bathed. 😢😢😢 Such experience can be traumatic for them. I can't understand why would a rabbit need bath when they are naturally clean animals. Ooooooof 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I g I must be sounding really hating, but researching before spreading knowledge is a must! 😟😔🐰
P.S. I think you have quite a cute bunny! 😍😍😍💖💖💖🐇🐇🐇

No you are wrong... Rabbits do need bath but not so much like other animals,I have two rabbits so I can assure you they do not hate water or traumatized by it, instead they love to get their bath

What is the source of this information? Being immersed in water isn't natural for them, that's why no rabbit love water or baths.
I'll give a detailed explanation with reasons for not bathing~
There are various reasons for not bathing a rabbit~
🐰 First off, rabbits groom and clean themselves just like cats do, that's why they need not be bathed cuz they are naturally clean.
🐰 In wild, one may spot a dog swimming, indeed we humans also need baths but rabbits are just different. They never swim in the wild, and what's hazardous for wild rabbits is hazardous for domesticated/pet rabbits.
🐰 Bathing with water can upset or stress a rabbit, causing him to panic and inadvertently injure himself. Any time you take a rabbit out of his comfort zone, your bun may go into shock which is potentially deadly. Rabbits can die from stress-induced heart attacks.
🐰If the rabbit struggles, because his hind legs are extremely powerful and the spine comparatively brittle and weak, he can break his back trying to get free.
🐰 Most importantly, wet rabbit fur takes a long time to dry, and if left wet, the rabbit can easily get hypothermia, even on warm days. Also, when trying to dry fur, you may inadvertently burn the skin with the hair dryer.
🐰 If water gets in the ears, the bun can get an ear infection, resulting in pain and medical bills.
🐰 Their hair also shed and regrow everytime, that's another reason for not bathing them.
🐰 By all means, a rabbit will not immediately die in the case that he gets wet to the skin for whatever reason, but it is important to understand why it can be very dangerous to a rabbit's health. Overall, baths are potentially dangerous.
So you see, there's no reason to bath a rabbit and plenty of reasons to not bath them. So pwez don't bath your bunbun, he/she doesn't need it. ^^
Do try joining some rabbit group or forum to have discussions with various ppl, as many ppl on TH-cam can quite easily mislead.
      🐰💖

@@Nashrah422 Listen sweetheart I may not be an expert but I do know what my babies likes or not... I can assure you that they love bathing... They are both 2 years old and I am taking care of them from when they were only 2 weeks old... So basically I raised them...I bath them with look worm water in summer but I don't like or want to bath them in winter because my babies shades in that season the most. And also I know my rabbits do not like when they get dirty with their poop.

Rabbits r by origin very clean animals...they clean themselves more often than we clean ourselves...on the other hand they r very complex animals they need to be taken care during cold as they might catch cold...so its a total no no for the owners to bathe their rabbits in winter...its not at all necessary...but still if one finds it important to bathe his or her bun then they should opt for dry pet shampoo ...plz plz plz do invest some time in doing thorough study on rabbits n their dos n donts n then share your vedios dear...u r doing wrong to ur loving rabbit n providing wrong information to the people who r depending upon your vedios....

Rabbits shouldn't be bathed at any age.
There are various reasons for not bathing a rabbit~

But if you are still in doubt regarding this~ a quick Google search "should I bath my rabbits?" will clear your doubts. ^ ~ ^

Lady you better research on every animal you have...this is important for them. They are not toys . Like human kids they need to be taken care of . First of all stop keeping rabbits in cage you fool. And if you still don't have other options. Pls keep a warm absorbing sheets available online or a warm clean cloth. And never bathe your rabbit unless it is really coverd with mud . You bunnies look scared and sad in most of your videos . Try to understand the expressions of you pets. I feel really bad for those poor animals . Please for your pets sake Google about them 🙏

Please do not bath rabbits.they can clean.if you have to clean their paws with just betadine added in water.thats it.

    • @Nashrah422
      @Nashrah422 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Thank goodness for this sensible suggestion. You're quite right that bunnies shouldn't be bathed and indeed they clean themselves just like cats do by grooming with tongue. But cleaning their paws with betadin doesn't make sense. They are quite capable of cleaning their paws as well, and needs to be litter trained to not get their paws stained with pee. Moreover, licking betadin can be dangerous.

    • @priyankavedula3912
      @priyankavedula3912 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Nashrah422 please see the comment.its not just betadine.its betadine in water.one drop in atleast half a litre of water.you should never put soap as well.its a doctor's suggestion as well.

Is that so? Then I'd say he/she is a sensible rabbit as bathing isn't natural for bunnies.
But if you are still in doubt regarding this~ a quick Google search "should I bath my rabbits?" will clear your doubts. ^ ~ ^

How old is the baby bunny?
Rabbits are vegan and shouldn't drink cow's milk.
But if they're around 1-2 months of age, they'd need their own mother's milk.
However, in her absence, they can get goat milk or KMR as replacement. But under they should never get goat milk under any condition.
Around 6 weeks or so they can begin nibbling on hay.
Under 3 months of their diet consists of only hay 24×7 and pellets. In India, the only safe pellets are Zupreem Timothy hay pellets which is unfortunately unavailable atm. Other pellets have harmful fillers and ingredients in them, so it's better to overall avoid pellets and stick to a natural diet of hay rather than feeding dangerous pellets. Hay can be bought off Amazon and should be accessible to rabbits 24×7 to keep their guts moving and teeth trimmed.
After three months of age~ their diet proportions are~
      🐰80% hay 24×7
      🐰10% vegetables
      🐰5% fruits
      🐰5%pellets
Btw if you already knew about hay and their diet, then do ignore my babbling. 😅🐰
And I hope that it clears the doubt about milk.
