Yesterday tried the Helix with two Focus modules. It works alright, but for me i would like a bit more distance. Plan was to get the Hofstede next with either Rieger or Stampede, but your setup sounds great too! Also great video! Compact and informative without much nonsense!
using this same load out didn't like going all over the map for the parts but ....ill take your word on it that's its the best fit for this shitbox of a ship thank you for the video and make more soon.
@@dorathaadestroya Yeah, I just tried Impact w/ XTR-XL (x2)... not good. Really need that surge. Sure would be nice to have 3 module slots open on Impact and Helix, since they are on the higher end of expense for mining lasers. One can CLEARLY see that the art is still there to do it.
@@sephlar I thought about trying the Impact with 2 XTR-XL modules and just utilizing the gadgets to offset some of the instability/resistance. 3 modules would be amazing on the impact or helix, but sadly, I don’t see that being an option anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind using gadgets or active modules, but an extra slot for 2 passive and an active would be great! Takes me back to the lancet days haha.

With the exception of hand mining, my mining is done vicariously through others. Sometimes I scout and/or provide cover for my mining friends.

I use a Helix with XTR-XL (x2). More power, less resistance, but certainly super small optimal charge window size
