I totally agree with you on the 3.14 grav lev mechanics. I would dare say it was at least %90. Yes could use a little tweaks but it was totally playable for either novice or expert pilots. Why doesn't just go back to that? The code must be kicking around somewhere. Even if they just did it as a placeholder it would make the gravlev ground vehicles so much better. Like the guy already did the work, it's not like they have to re-invent the wheel?...oh wait they did and rocks get into the gears in the wheel hubs. I don't think CIG realizes we're actually trying to HELP them with these videos and discussions. We're like "This worked, just use this" and they always come up with "No I don't care if it worked we need new mechanics".
@chrissinclair8705 there were a few issues with John Pritchett's 3.1.4 gravlev, sometimes gravlev vehicles were catapulted 10km into the air. But this was not John's fault, this could have been fixed. John's 3.1.4. gravlev was smooth, it made small adjustments on its own, it was fast and fun. I am thinking more and more, Chris lost too many good people over the years. Also paying below industry standard is not exactly a great way to get good and experienced people.
Yeah there was some backend changes in the eptu where they got rid of shields on all hover bikes, and the force was the only one with one. I’m not sure what they are doing, but there are a lot of questions about it. Because from my understanding there was no communication, just a surprise

Gravlev is absolutely terrible I don’t know why they can’t simply Forget the gravity crap and just give it a standard flight model like a tiny regular ship🤷🏻♂️
@saleseng the sad thing is we had a *fantastic* gravlev back in 3.1.4. The new flight model in 3.5 killed it, since then gravlev is boring, no fun and doesn't look ahead anymore.
So what is the point of the X1? it looks cool yeah but it has no storage, no gun rack and the pilot is not protected from the elements. Why take this over a Nox or Dragonfly for example.
@Experia888 thank you, I thought my data might be wrong. In concept X1 base had a shield, CIG's (lying) ship matrix still shows a shield. I was a bit busy today, made the San'tok.yāi video, the X1 video and one more, so I didn't check my X1, my fault.
I feel we keep losing talented members of the team and they are replaced by people with little to no experience. The quality I fear will keep diminishing as we lose good people to other companies because by the time these new guys are trained up they will probably jump ship too.
@zeelastman CIG is certainly losing good people. John Pritchett was one of the few CIG devs who has a very good understanding of game physics. Also according to "Glassdoor" and personal contacts, CIG is paying below industry standard. This means they are attracting new inexperienced people. The good ones will leave after 1-2 years to find a better paying job.
@@Camural I have heard this too and that's what I was getting at, its become a stepping stone job to get some required experience and move on to something else. @LunaMoon0 if there is any gravlev improvement in 3.22, I can sincerely say: *I haven't notice it :)* It feels sad, I just watched my 3.1.4 video with John Pritchett's gravlev.
