- LAUNCH Control acceleration run with the all-new CUPRA Ateca, the first car under the standalone brand "CUPRA". This car is powered by a 2.0 TSI delivering 300 hp & 400 Nm of torque through 4Drive & 7-speed DSG (total weight: 1.615 kg). Actually this is the first 2.0 TSI VAG engine with OPF (Otto-Particle-Filter) which we are driving and therefore we are bringing you this "pure SOUND". The sound definitely is different but its not worse than before (e.g with the CUPRA 300). The bangs on upshifts (thankfully) are gone and the tone is a lot deeper than before, but quieter as well. Nadsenec not really, still handles shit in corners and the wind resistance is massive. Even my old bmw 6 series 2007 does 0-100 in 6s with 258hp NA
@@2011Transformersdotm have you even tried it? How do you know it handles like shit? Every journalist/youtuber who has tried it was greatly surprised for the handling, which they claim it's even better than some hatchbacks.
BMW series 6 2007 with 258hp does 0-100 in 6'7seconds. This SUV, only 40hp more is 1'5 seconds faster. Impressive!

Whats the point in testing it using the launch control???? Do you know that there is a very limited number of times u can use it? I think it was like 50 in leon cupra or so and then you cannot activate it at all - to protect dsg and engine

its on 200kmh around 19.5 sec....without tune and lowering spring (a nice tune with 6-7cm lowering also improve that time..and its not too much money for that, maybe it would be around 16- 17sec)

That's right. Cupra is a sport line in Seat cars (something like M in BMW etc.) A seat is in VAG group together with audi, vw, skoda and probably more(don't remember).
Yes, Cupra until now was just the sportiest version of Seat's models, however this year it separatrd from seat to become a brand by itself. Subbrand of Seat.
So yes, it stills belong to VAG, together with VW, Audi, Skoda, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche...

Der 2.0 TSI ist ein Audi-Motor und passen tut lediglich nur noch ein VR6 oder halt der 5-Zylinder. In der Leistungsklasse finde ich den 2.0TSI aber angebracht eigentlich.
VW konzern? Ea-Motoren? Ea = Entwicklungsauftrag.
Kurz gesagt sind es alle Motoren von VW. Man siehe zu not in wiki nach oder auf der Seite des Herstellers in den Technischen Daten.
Audi wird sich davor hüten den 2.5 grade SEAT/ Cupra zur Verfügung zu stellen. Ist schließlich eines ihrer letzten Alleinstellungsmerkmale...

It's actually good at handling, it does feel like a hothatch in terms of performance. However it still keeps the SUV practicallity

I mean how much does it cost??? The grand cheroke is 120k and goes from 0-100 in 3 sec but as a seat... cupra line it should be quite afordable soo if its between 40-60k its totally worth it.

Leon ST has a bit roomier boot, but is way longer, so if you wan't similar capacity but not as long because it's more difficult to park in city, Ateca is better option.
It's a matter of taste and I have a Leon Cupra from OTC tuned to 399hp. Will beat any Porsche you throw at it. 0-100 in 4.0. So bollox to you pal....... ;)

Golf 7 R ist nur 100Kg leichter und schafft laut Angaben 4,6.
Der Cupra hat mit Sicherheit auch eine 4 davor, da in Wirklichkeit die Autos oft schneller sind wie angegeben.
