    Hello! Welcome back to another episode. In this episode, we managed the frustrations we faced in Benin City, got our stay extended and headed into Delta State.
    It was an encouraging encounter and I hope it encourages you also.
    Keep Flying along! Cheers!

    The british burnt down the original benin city,in the city great period,benin city was more beautiful than london,Lisbon and Amsterdam..That roundabout acting as the king square,from there most part of the city was reached.The largest wall of benin is said to be the longest man made structure ever, longer than the great wall of china..Benin was a very powerful empire in his day,streches to the middlebelt of Nigeria down to republic of benin and beyond.

      Definitely! It is fascinating, to be honest. Reading the history of Benin City and Edo Empire will flood your thought with numerous questions. 💪

    Sorry to hear about your mechanical issues but the Empire of Benin banned slave trading in in 1530, because the Oba could see how slave trading was depleting and draining his Empire of manpower. The Oba used the manpower for defense of his Empire and to maintain the Great Wall of Benin which was a large earthen work defensive structure which is considered the largest construction project in premechanized history.

    Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria by land mass

    Point of correction, in terms of land mass, Benin City is slightly bigger than the city of Lagos, 5 times bigger than Port Harcourt and 4 times bigger Kano. That city is highly underrated. Go check the land mass. It is only Ibadan that is bigger than Benin City amongst the first 5 in Nigeria. Please do your verifications properly before posting your contents.

    • @TheFlyingFlags
      @TheFlyingFlags  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope! Not too fast!
      You got me wrong! I never said anything about land mass. Your intention in the comment is not honest.
      I was talking about size in terms of metropolitan area population.
      😎
      Go check Nigeria cities by latest population size. Also when you watch my videos please pay attention to me before you comment so you don’t undermine me.

    Please the Benin's was never involved in human sacrifice

    • @TheFlyingFlags
      @TheFlyingFlags  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hope you understand I didn’t make that up. It is present in the written historical records.
      Read this if you can find it (Boisragon, A. The Benin Massacre(1897).

  • @Bestborn

    Broda please be careful how you present different cities to the world. If you dont know something or its derogatory to the people of the city its better to skip that part out please. What is "actively participating in human sacrifice". The same theme the British heard from some nuisance that made them attack my city in 1897. You are there now singing the same ignorant sermons. Benin city was warriors empire, my ancestors conquered alot of cities and the peoples conquered were taken as slave that is normal. But i am not impress with you saying they do human sacrifice. If you dont know keep quiet and keep driving your bike

    • @TheFlyingFlags
      @TheFlyingFlags  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, thank you for that. I recognise your displeasure but read this if you can find it (Boisragon, A. The Benin Massacre(1897).
      Peace and blessings!

    Warri is one of the most backward villages in Nigeria. Nothing is developed about this country. Our infrastructure is the poorest in the world. I really don't know what our leaders are useful for.
