The same people who cannot control their eating cannot control their emotions. Super simple. An ounce of discipline on this woman’s part would have solved the problem. Being overweight is forgivable. Being 240 and demanding to ride a living being you could possibly hurt is so lacking on self-awareness it hurts.
@@dukeofenglandI’m 5’1” and used to be 60lbs overweight, and yup, I was (wait for it) FAT. lol. In no world did I ever think people were being “fatphobic” towards me. I was unhealthy, unhappy, had breathing issues and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Yep that hit me. I was delusional and telling myself i was ok and happy with my weight. Total lie.
Bear in mind that horses didn't exactly win the evolutionary lottery. They have to be strong enough to hold up what is essentially a wheelbarrow load of wet grass in their gut. That's bad enough. I imagine she'd have been thrown off the moment she hit the saddle. The yard did her a favour saving her a trip to hospital.
Imagine a grown woman whining and crying because a ranch put their horses safety before her selfish needs. In one breath she says she would never hurt the horse or put it in any danger, and in the next breath she invites her followers to ruin that ranch because they wouldn’t let her hurt the horse. Real stand up broad for sure!! 🤦🏼♀️
The fact that she cares more about her own wants over the horse's health and safety speaks volumes to her character. It's no wonder she felt totally justified in destroying this small business. What a horrible individual! I'm just glad the horse's owners stood up to her.
We took a horseback ride through Bryce canyon. Beautiful, life changing event. Anyway, my dad is a tall, broad guy, a bit overweight at times but never even CLOSE to morbid, but due to a little extra and being naturally big he was about 250. Horse and mule limit for that place was was 225. You know what he did? Planned ahead for the trip and lost the weight, and was able to join us on an amazing day.
As a true rancher, the health and safety of my horses come first. I will never jeopardize my horses just to make a person feel better about themselves. The ranch did the right thing by putting the horses first
Also, I'm a novice for horse riding but I've done it a few times. Don't you also have to consider how the rider fits into the horse? The last time i wrode a horse i actually was doing curvy/smaller plus size modeling but i was under 200 lbs, I'm very average height for a female and i had been put on a horse i think that was about 16-17 hands. She was a fun spicy thing but of what i remember was she was almost too big around for my legs to reach comfortably. But i was still able to put my weight onto the stirrups and lean forward like the instructor showed us (we were doing western style) i saw his 18 hands horse who was a gorgeous giant cuddlebug but i was thinking i would be dangerous on him because it would be too hard to balance with my aggressively average length legs. Am i right i thinking this?
Personally I keep my weight down as much as possible bc I try to ride on a regular basis. I also don't ride if the temp isn't optimal. It's not just about me when I ride
I'm fat. You know what worries me a lot more than "fatphobia"? The fact that there are sections of our society that actively ignore reality in order to enable people's unhealthy behavior. Good on these ranchers for standing up for their horses.
Same, I’m 236lbs and 5’7 and I think this whole movement is extremely stupid like it started out sort of reasonably well then it just moved into praising obesity
It will all catch up to them when all these people that don’t care about their health are dying at 50 years old while everyone who takes care of their health will be living into their 70s-80s or even longer. We will have the last laugh when we are still living healthy while they are long gone. Also life in general is 10x better for people that are healthy. These people are just lazy and started to make this trend of “being fat is good” so they don’t have to put effort in and change. It’s disgusting
As a horse rider myself, the fact that she’s crying about not being able to ride a horse since she’s over 15% (it really should be 15% for horses and 20% for ponies tack included) is actually horrible. If they let her ride that horse it could possibly permanently damage that horse. I’m really happy that the ranch didn’t let her abuse their animals.
@@jessicapearson9479 Ponies have much hardier bones and trough out history they were bred to carry larger amount of weight than new breed of sport horses for instance. But of course welsh ponies can carry less amount of weight in comparison to their weight than shetlands for instance. But overall ponies can carry up to 20 percent of their weight.
It will damage the horses back!!! He cannot handle the weight! I’m sorry if she has rode before!! With the weight she is.. common sense! Is she that incredibly inconsiderate

That women is 240lbs. 20% of that is 48lbs. I say she should have to carry a 50lbs backpack around for the length of time she was going to go riding. Let her ass know what she was crying to put that horse through.
I am a horse owner and riding instructor. With that being said, I have to agree with the Hollow Ranch for making the call on this situation. First and foremost the rider's safety should be considered.
Her feelings are more important to her than the livelihood of the ranch, the staff, and the health and well being of the animals. That should tell you everything you need to know about this person.
Nah, she doesn't even realise what damage she would cause. Imagine getting a beautiful horse for your birthday, but they say " no thank you mam, the only animal on this earth not exceeding your weight is the elephant"
I'd give the ranch 5 stars for actually caring about their horses. Edit: I'm unsure where people are basing their assumptions on, but perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I'm happy they kept refusing the woman in the video, because it means they consider the horses' safety over money. I however do NOT agree with the woman in the video, and think she should start acting like an adult and move on with her day. I don't approve of the way she handled the situation, but I'm proud of people for not allowing her to pressure them into her demands.
Apparently, there are lots and lots of Americans who are very easy to "weaponize" via social media. It explains why we have the deeply divisive political extremism in America. About a third of our country wants to live in delusion just to feel accepted by somebody, anybody for any reason; they'll do anything for their chosen leader, friend, savior.

as an equestrian you are using an animal. That animal has every right to live and to be free as you but you do not even contemplate this do you? I have been turned down to ride as a man at 6'2 and 220 lbs, in good shape and with significant horse experience. Depending on the horse ranch, they may or may not have a suitable horse for a given weight available on the day you want to ride. Some people are afraid of large horses, so the smaller sizes are more popular. Also, there might be concerns for a person that is physically out of shape. It is easy to be seriously injured falling off a horse. Usually, good riders are also in reasonable physical shape. When it comes to horseback riding being cautious is a good idea.
If I hadn't seen your comment, I was going to write the same thing. I'm 6'4" and at the time I was going to the stables, it was part of my job to accompany 30 clients, so I got to ride for free. There was one horse they'd let me ride, and if he wasn't available, I just watched everyone else ride, and enjoyed the time there. I didn't storm out and then claim they'd 'made me leave' .

My condolences to the horses she rode before. Now that people know she could care less about the health of horses, people need to call her out on her bad and uncaring behavior.
I think everyone who agrees that the horse ranch made the right call for the safety of their horses should go and give them positive reviews to counteract the negative reviews they received thanks to this “curve model”.

okay, for context I am a horseback riding instructor. Our weight limit is around 200 pounds. we do this on a case by case basis because it depends on the riders proportion. if the person is heavy because they are tall, its not as much of an issue as a rider who is heavy because they have a hugs stomach or huge thighs. this is because their weight is not distributed evenly and can permanently damage the horses spine and cause a great amount of pain. people dont like to hear this, of course, but for the safety and welfare of BOTH the rider and the horse, it needs to be instated. Me personally, i dont think that anyone that is over 180 pounds should ride a horse UNLESS it is a draft horse breed (they are bred to be able to carry more weight). ANY REPUTABLE STABLE SHOULD HAVE THIS RULE! It does not matter if people get offended. I dont care. lose weight and come back, or dont! sorry but this had to be said.
Exactly I remember my brother got engaged and he was taking me to his Stag Do where we were doing a fox hunt. None of us had ridden a horse before and I wasn’t allowed to because I’m 6’7 and quite muscly so I was a solid 10 kilos over the horses weight limits not including the gun which was like an extra three or so.. I remember my brothers friend shouting about it to the poor lady and I was so embarrassed, I’m not an animal expert but I know horses are fragile as anything I would have probably killed that horse if I made it go fox hunting.

There's no way this woman weighs 240lbs. Unless she's 4'5"... She's WAYYYYYYYYYYY closer to 400+. I weigh 180 and this woman is at least 3 of me! Besides, she didn't say she weighed 240... the Creator of this video did. She just said 240 was the cutoff.
@@somebody3319 LOL! 😆 Idk... 240kg is way more likely. 👍 But, seriously though, the cutoff for the horse is 240lbs. I was just pointing out that she wasn't ONLY 241lbs... she exceeds the weight limit WAYYYYYYY more than "just barely". 😉
@@inthelandofmorethansmall7582 true that!! Like, even of she weighed "only" 240lbs, wouldnt that still be nearly double of what a horse can carry comfortably?💀

The reason for the increase is due to the breeds in the US versus the UK. A Clydesdale is able to carry more, but it should still fall within the range of 10-15 for a work load. 20 is pushing it and should only be a short distance (Though a cart is more practical for those weights)
@@_PannieCake_ My great great great grandfather was a teamster (back when it meant horse team) in Cincinnati where it's hilly and they make a lot of beer. Clydesdales can hall two 240 pound kegs up a 300 ft hill no problem.

The ranch employee who said the "fat bitch" thing, he was angry in order to say that. He loves and takes care of the horses, and feels protective of them. The idea of a horse's back breaking upset him to the point where he expressed his feelings in the most natural way a man that young would do so. As an owner and rider, and size you should be riding a horse that can handle a bigger person. You have QHs that can be built like a brick and can carry a grown man of 6'2 and 300 lbs or you have crossbreeds with big horse breeds. Some small breeds can handle more than people think too. But people need to be aware that with a plus-size man or lady, they will need more than a little Arab, Welsh thoroughbred.
Seeing a 28 year old woman crying like a toddler because people told her "no" is giving me second hand embarrassment Edit : I now know the context of that crying video and I shouldn't have judged her without learning the context. However, I still don't agree with the way she reacted to this whole situation.
Editing because of a reply just wanna say I don't think she should be allowed on a horse she is too heavy but I like facts to be facts and don't think it's fair to use a video out of context .. Actually that video is a separate ticktok and she is cry laughing about Coachella.
You should always check for a weight limit when you plan on horseback riding. Most stables will post their weight limits based on the stock they have available. You can also ask if they offer draft horses or draft crosses available to accomodate larger frames. I completely agree with the decision the ranch made and that they hold the health of the horses over making a quick buck.
All I am saying is that if a person wants to avoid an embarassing situation it is good to be informed. This wasn't a judgement towards anyone, simply information. @@michakrzyzanowski8554
There was a TV series called Bonanza. One of the cast members named Dan Blocker was obese. He had to weigh close to 300 pounds, and he constantly rode his black quarter horse. It's about a rancher and his 3 sons. The series ran from 1959 to 1973. It was a major hit television show. It also starred Lauren Green and Michael Landon. I was always a thin young woman, but I then got sick. Had 10 major back ysurgeries in 2 neck surgeries. I was happily married until my husband was killed 2 years ago. I went to a whopping 240 pounds myself and lost 80 pounds now weighing 165 pounds. As a form of fat person, I totally agree that a person of such weight should not ride a horse. It is uncomfortable for the horse. I think it's torture that's unfair for the horse Cruel, inhumane speaking as a former fat person. Thank you so much for telling us about this story.
I have a friend who is a tad overweight. Nowhere near this model i've never heard of though. She wanted to pick up horse riding again but was told she was too heavy. There's a fairly strict limit in europe as well. I am so proud of her because she worked her butt off to lose the necessary weight. She did it and she never whined about it. Now she gets to ride a horse and is getting fitter everyday by going to the gym three times week and watching her diet.

As an overweight woman, I completely agree with not letting her ride the horse. When I was in highschool (and also very much overweight) I went to a ranch with my girl Scout Troop to go horseback riding. Nobody told me I couldn't get on the horse and I wasn't aware that my weight could hurt him. We went in two groups because there wasn't enough horses for everyone. I was in the first group and my horse honestly seemed like he was handling me pretty well. He had no problem keeping up with the group, however, when one of my friends got him in the second group, she complained that he was too slow. While he didn't get hurt, he got tired a lot quicker than all of the other horses. We went on a 15-30 minute ride (on an easy, flat trail) for each group. I shudder to think what would have happened to the poor baby if we went for a longer ride on a rougher trail. I haven't been on another horse since and I won't attempt to until I get my weight under control.
Your a sweet soul, I wish you the best on your health journey. May I suggest nighttime affirmations for your goals. Our brains are quantum computers and often we need a reprogramming to replace old programs including programs concerning health and body functions. Also morphogenic fields are extremely helpful and work great if done long enough, usually 2-3x a day for 21-30 days. Subliminals and nighttime affirmations also should be used for 21-30 days to successfully reprogram the brain to function as intended with the desired goals. It’s super easy and I have had great results with behavioral and emotional issues using these ways. Hoping this helps you on your journey. You deserve to be healthy and happy. ❤❤❤
@@micklee721 straight up. I really wish the "health at every size" mob would understand that if you're going to live your life as an obese person, there are going to be some limitations on what you can and cannot do. Not being able to ride on the back of a living thing is one of them.
I used to work with shetland ponies giving rides to 4-5 year olds. We had to tell really obese kids they couldn’t ride, and it was devastating to them. But I knew the old boys couldn’t handle the kid’s weight, because the kid was 120lbs (an average child should be about a third of that weight). I weighed less than that poor kid at the time (I was underweight back then due to medical issues). It made me mad the parents insisted the kid was “healthy” when I expressed my concerns when she yelled at me to hurt the ponies instead of not over feeding the child. That was 10 years ago now. I hope the kid is ok.
when you ride a horse you're sitting on their spine and pretty much on their kidneys. it is a serious risk to the wellbeing and potentially the life of the horse. people like her enrage me.
Its sad how much I feel these people responses is PURE reaction to that on a subconscious level. They just REFUSE to take accountability , that the difficulties and issues from them being overweight, is THEIR FAULT! They don't want to be accountable for their own lack of health.
I got overweight because i got suicidal and coped by overeating/stressesting. I didn’t set out to be fat, and i think its rather ignorant to assume i choose to be fat. I ate to survive, i ate as a coping mechanism. Would you rather i cut myself? Would you rather i became anorexic? Perhaps that would have been better. I would not complain over not being allowed to break a horse’s back, however, but if you have not been fat, you probably don’t realise how hard it is to get better. Fatness is a disease, and a handicap in some regards. I can’t walk for very long before my entire body aches from all the weight my bones, my joints, my muscles and ligaments have to strain under. I intend to loss weight, but its a lot harder than anyone who haven’t been fat could ever know. Yes, asking for certain things because you are fat, and being upset when you get rejected for safety reasons when you are fat, is idiotic, but when i can’t sit in chairs in public, being relatively on the smaller scale of overweight, without the armrests biting my sides, perhaps theres a problem? It certainly doesn’t encourage fat people to go into a world, that seemingly despise them.
She’s like “ I am a curve model , look at me , look at me” Now she’s like “ I’m too fat to ride a horse. Pity me , pity me” Well I don’t pity you ma’am . Now stop whining when someone tells you “no” You did this to yourself. Welcome to the world of accountability.
Yeah to weigh that much you have to be eating so insanely much. If she simply ate a little less she’d lose a bunch of weight. It takes so much more effort to weigh that much than to not. I don’t have great metabolism, there’s been times where I lived off fast food and ate a bunch.. I still never got to 200 pounds. When I simply started eating a little less and more healthy.. I lost 30 pounds. I get how it feels, I love food, but you have to be constantly eating to weigh that much.

I wanted to ride a horse a while back. Found a place that offered rides and it said right there on the website that they had a 250 pound weight limit. I weighed myself and tilted the scale at 257 pounds. I didn't blast them for "discriminating against fat bodies." I thought to myself, "if I'm so fat I could injure a fucking horse just by sitting on it, something has to change." I started watching my calories like a hawk and doing some light exercises when I could. It's been less than two years since then; I've dropped 82 pounds and I'm sitting at a comfortable 175. What's her excuse?
Congratulations on loosing that much weight woah!! I struggle with gaining weight so it always brings me joy when other people achieve their weight goals
I worked at a horse ranch for a few years and one year this really overweight family came in. I believe our weight cap was around 190 or 200, but this one guy definitely weighed more than that. I was surprised he could even support his own body weight. My boss came out with one of our lightest horses who already had leg problems and helped his guy get up on him. I kid you not, that horse almost fell over instantly. I’m standing there like “what the f*ck this has to be animal abuse” as they ride off. My coworker didn’t say anything to my boss and neither did I, she wouldn’t have listened anyway. I don’t work there anymore cause they barely paid me and treated me awfully, same with their horses. Most of those poor things were overweight.
I worked there when I was about 14, 15. I'm 17 now, and you're right, I'm definitely compliant since I did not report them. Honestly, I didn't think of it, as sad as that sounds. I wouldn't call the ranch "abusive" but I would say it's definitely neglectful. I'm going to report them now that you guys mention it, it just concerns me where the horses would be sent. The humane society in my city kills more animals than they take in, and I'm not sure if we have equine services. Animal rights aren't exactly a priority in my state , unfortunately... I'll do some research on animal control and such.

as a equestrian who owns and works with horses on the daily, I’m glad the horses health and safety was taken into account. I see way to often that places like these (trail riding facilities and such that are for tourists) don’t take weight limits into account and let ppl ride horses that are either just unhealthy or that they are too big for. glad this place didn’t.
was on a trail ride years ago, up into the mountains, and there was a really heavy woman trying to mount her horse (she had 2 guys helping her) and when she finally got on, the horse collapsed on the ground. It was awful, horse was OK and not sure how she ended up getting out of there as our group left at that time.
@@geebrewer8186That’s horrible! There was a video around awhile back of a very heavy woman trying endlessly to get up on a horse and if I remember correctly, I think it was at a tropical place for riding on the beach. You could SEE the horse’s legs shaking as she repeatedly tried to hoist her massive body up onto it. There is no way that horse made it very far after they all helped push her onto it. Especially if it had to tread on sand! Just an incredibly stupid and cruel thing to do to that poor horse. But f*tty is happy. 🙄
I think it’s crazy that animal activists aren’t immediately flooding this woman’s comments. She wanted to abuse an animal for no reason than to entertain herself and threw a tantrum when they wouldn’t let her
I suggest doing a little more research before you comment (what the creator of the video also should've done). She has explicitly mentioned that she never wanted to hurt any horses, but had just wished that the ranch had mentioned a weight limit on their website, just like other sports do (paragliding for example). For the record; I don't think she's in the right either for posting all of it on tiktok while it could've been handled privately, but calling her an abuser? Ehhh.
@@NB0605 Did the website advertised itself as being able to carry all weight? If not, then just because they didn't post it doesn't mean you can't ask them, and if you focused more on the fact that these are actual animals rather than the entertainment, you won't just say "Oh hey, they didn't post the weight limit. That must mean those horses could carry infinite amount of weight!" you'd think "Oh, they didn't post a weight limit. I should probably ask". She also mentioned that they're a smaller business so that website could've not even been updated for a while or was new and still under development. You also can just...say things that don't align with your actions, which she clearly would be an example of if she said she never wanted to hurt any horses yet never bothered to check if her weight would bother them. Being decent isn't just about verbal affirmation, it's also spatial and self awareness. And on the bit about calling her an abuser - Perhaps not, but considering she made a big song and dance about how she just expects the average horse to be able to carry her weight and ruined a small business that guessing by the son's reaction is probably they're passion and pride, maybe even their only income of money, people don't care. Especially when she acted so smug about insulting the business. It's just gross.
@@NB0605 No I’m aware she said she didn’t wanna hurt horses…but her actions did not follow her words. She threw a tantrum for not being able to ride a horse even though she knew it could hurt it. She posted a video getting people to attack the owners because they wouldn’t let her ride the horse. She’s probably going to continue to ride horses that don’t support her weight if the owners are negligent enough. Last time I checked she didn’t even delete the video, just turned off comments. To me, it seems like she said that to try to avoid more backlash.

Allowing her to ride a horse would be considered a cruelty against the animal. Not only that it could severely hurt both the jockey and the horse. And no one wants to get sued I presume.
I don’t think you know a lot about this topic but as an equestrian someone her weight could ride a horse as long and the horse is large enough she would just need to ride really large horse breeds like Clydesdales. Essentially it’s based of the horse and person size.
The owners took a public bashing for the safety of the animals. That's extremely respectful. This girl should feel ashamed. And this is coming from a 240 pound man
let’s face it she was crying because she missed out on an opportunity to film cute horse content for her tiktok, it can’t be cause she cares about horses. if she cared about horses she would have understood WHY she was refused and wouldn’t question it. if you’re too fat to ride a horse, don’t attack the ranch. maybe eat less ranch. too much ranch is what got you here lady 😂
Big Shoutout to DEEP HOLLOW RANCH for protecting the welfare of their horses by restricting the burden and actual abuse that's involved in carrying a grossly obese human who could seriously hurt the non consenting animal just for the obese persons entertainment. Kudos to that Ranch.
My daughter has a binge eating disorder, and as a result is very overweight. When her college class attended horse riding, she wasn’t allowed to ride. I supported this,as much as it upset her. I explained to her that due to her weight, she could hurt the horse badly. I suggested she do things to help take care of the horses instead. That way she got some exercise, and took pride in what she was doing. It also helped reinforce how her bingeing and her weight restricted what she could and couldn’t do.
@@TheMotherofTacos Wow! You sure went in without knowledge! Firstly, I did get her specialised counselling for her ED,which she receives to this very day. I had to fight for it,as she’s also autistic with learning difficulties, and they were trying to fob it off as a “sensory issue”. It’s a slow process. She has improved, and lost some weight, but still has occasional binges. My explanation to her was with the counsellor present. I had also consulted with the counsellor prior to the appointment to discuss how we needed to explain why she couldn’t ride the horses. Do you think it would have been better to lie? Sometimes helping someone means you have to tell them things honestly rather than sugarcoat it. You just have to word things appropriately. Which I did with the aid of the ED counsellor.
You are a great mom. You told her the truth and suggested how important taking care of an animal is. I am glad she is not binging as much. I wish the best for you and your daughter

I'mma say this. RIDING A HORSE IS A LUXURY. I would understand if she was refused basic and needed transportation. But crying because you weren't allowed to do a rather expensive and unnecessary activity because you do not met requirements is beyond me. Some of ya'll get way to comfortable with the internet. Like no one would have even knew about her devastation if she just never posted it. This kind of venting should always be kept between you and your inner circle.

Growing up, I used to border my horse at a nearby ranch that rented out saddle horses for visitors. They actually kept a Percheron x Thoroughbred cross and two Belgian x Warmbloods crosses for the heavy-set people to ride. I remember this one lady who complained that she wanted to ride a horse like mine (an Arabian mare that I owned at the time). I explained to her that the Percheron cross she was riding was more suitable for her weight. She didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. Most likely because I went too far and said that similar horses carried men in full armour during medieval times.
I’m definitely more inclined to go to that ranch now, knowing they protect their horses and aren’t willing to injure an animal for money or fear of backlash.
I’ve experienced something like this before. There was a small roller coaster in Tennessee that my son wanted to ride but I was about 50 pounds over the weight limit. I wasn’t able to get on but my wife did. i didn’t blame anybody else other than me. I felt extremely bad for not being able to experience this with my kid so I got on a diet and have lost 110 pounds since then.
Great job, man ✨🙌✨ I wish my friend- the mother of a young child- would do the same as you. GOOD FOR YOU for taking charge of your own behavior and body 💪💪💪
Well done. Took my husband 30 years to get his weight in control and he keeps telling me how amazing he looks which makes me so happy for him. He does look amazing but I thought he looked amazing before as well.
I just think it's ridiculous at this point. Unless you have medical issues that cause your weight issues, I refuse to feel bad. I had a really flat (but also a bit underweight) tummy and my doctor put me on a med (for my anger issues) that made me gain 30 pounds. My knees were in so much pain just from 30 pounds. Technically I needed to gain weight as my flat tummy was from unfortunately my acid reflux issues for almost 2 years. I lost 15 pounds recently and my knees feel 10x better and I'm a healthy weight. Not a flat tummy, but a healthy tummy. If 30 pounds and being a little overweight killed my knees, I can't imagine what being fat does to your body.
@Chiinx_ Xo That's weird, people in other countries are stressed out with medical issues as well and you don't see them being morbidly obese at these overwhelming statistics. Maybe it has something to do with an overabundance of sugar dense foods, and people refusing to put them down and go to the gym for longet than a week? Maybe the vast, vast majority are just using medical issues as a crutch because they're too lazy?
@Chiinx_ Xo This! I legitimately have genetic issues that make it hard for me to lose weight, I didn't eat myself to death, I ate what was required by the dietician I saw and I still struggle to lose weight. (ty to birth control for the weight gain btw) But people just assume I'm fat and lazy, my boyfriend is extremely underweight and can't gain weight, but he's constantly praised for being skinny when in reality he's more unhealthy than me
My people, i may have the worst genetics when it comes to losing weight, unless you literally can't lose weight (for example, you produce too much insulin) there's really no reason to be fat, stress is only an excuse because you could very well workout and say that it relieves your stress. Anyway, back to the main comment, my man, woman, child, drug dealer, attack helicopter, try doing some body weight exercises for some time, it will strength your tendons and ligaments, if they still hurt go see a doctor

According to a quick Google search, the average weight of a racehorse would be around 500kg, but in the range of 400-600kg. Larger breeds can be double that. That means a horse that weights about 500kg would have a limit in the US of about 220lbs. It's quite possible that the last time she rode a horse, she was under 220lbs, because it's not massively under what she was in this video. It's also possible that she last rode a horse that weighed towards the 600kg mark on the high end of the scale, which would have a limit of about 265lbs. A larger breed of horse weighing 2000lbs would have a limit of a 400lb person. She can probably find a different ranch very easily that has horses that will accommodate her weight given the information I found. But it's always best to check before going. And in no way is it the ranches fault for having the wrong breed to support her weight.
race horses wont b used for the general customers on a ranch bcoz they are super expensive. and ranches that have them, dont usually own them, they get paid to look after them by a rich owner somewhere. this means the horse she wanted to ride must've been very small, or much bigger than the average horse and she is lying about herself being 220lbs and she's actually around 300lbs.
@WinterMan I'm not saying they were race horses, it's just the breed that popped up from a search, but it was a reference, I don't know how big/small race horses are in comparison to other horses but I thought it was a good average that other websites seemed to be saying around the same area
@@joshualiley Even then, just because the horse can carry doesn't mean it'll be comfortable for them, which should be the priority rather than the satisfaction of the human consumer. It doesn't help that they have to carry for long periods of time; Imagine having to carry a backpack filled with heavy books for 30 minutes or more. You can definitely carry it, however it's not the best feeling, and you'd probably have backpain for the next few hours.
As someone who rides horses as a sport 20% is actually maximum, the recommended percentage is actually 15%. So lets say the horse she wanted to ride weighs 1,100, 20 percent of 1,000 is right around 165 and 20 percent is 220. That 15 percent also includes tack, which means that is she were to ride a horse, she would be almost doubling the weight of the maximum. Anyone of Remi's minions who went to hate on that ranch should be ashamed of themselves because at the end of the day they could have put a good hearted business who actually takes care of their horses out of business.
Yeah but why should people be concerned with facts and reality when they could just continue to live in fantasy land and not give a crap about the actual health and safety of the animal. Thank you for providing information about horses it’s definitely helpful to know the details of it!!
Love your honest take on this subject. She had to be doing it on purpose, knowing she’d get refused and she could do the fake tears and complain for her supposed “likes” how sad for her.
back when I weighted 60 kilos I was allowed to ride basically any horse. now I'm almost 90, and when I went to that ranch I could only ride this big muscular stallion, which was more expensive to ride, so I prefered to just watch. it's the consecuences of my own decisions, so I didn't threw a temper tantrum about it
dude, I was 10 years old when I wanted to ride a pony in a ranch fest but I was denied. The ponies in the ride were meant to carry small kids and although I felt left out as my sisters could ride them because they were younger (I was a tall kid back then btw), I didn't make a big deal out of it, I was only 10 and already understood the pony's safety comes first. It's outstanding this girl is so selfish she'd rather hurt an innocent animal than accept reality.
Huge respect for the ranch for taking care of their horse❤️ It makes me feel happy that there’s still good people in this world who care about the animals and not about the money.
I swear, the people part of this movement are the most fragile and insecure. Just because you refuse to lose weight, doesn't mean everything is suddenly fatphobic. Fr. I’m obese and I hate the fat acceptance movement. The original body positivity movement was encouraged to basically just see the beauty in themselves and others who look different. Tell me about it, i am slightly over overweight but this month i've been exercising and eat healthier. People said i got slimmer now and my old pants fit me again, best feelings ever. Instead of blaming anyone for your shit let's workout to solve the problem here can't we?
As an overweight person I totally agree. Ive never been denied to go on rides or horses etc. but if it was a matter of safety for the horse, myself or others, I would actually have more respect for the company because it shows they care.
@@everybodyhatescris3102there are different levels of overweight. Being "overweight" doesn't automatically mean too heavy to ride. A shorter person might be overweight at 140, way below the safety threshold for horse riding.

When it comes to horseback riding being cautious is a good idea.

okay, for context I am a horseback riding instructor.

The reason for the increase is due to the breeds in the US versus the UK. A Clydesdale is able to carry more, but it should still fall within the range of 10-15 for a work load. 20 is pushing it and should only be a short distance (Though a cart is more practical for those weights)

As an owner and rider, and size you should be riding a horse that can handle a bigger person. You have QHs that can be built like a brick and can carry a grown man of 6'2 and 300 lbs or you have crossbreeds with big horse breeds. Some small breeds can handle more than people think too.

I would not complain over not being allowed to break a horse’s back, however, but if you have not been fat, you probably don’t realise how hard it is to get better.
Fatness is a disease, and a handicap in some regards.

And on the bit about calling her an abuser - Perhaps not, but considering she made a big song and dance about how she just expects the average horse to be able to carry her weight and ruined a small business that guessing by the son's reaction is probably they're passion and pride, maybe even their only income of money, people don't care. I’m definitely more inclined to go to that ranch now, knowing they protect their horses and aren’t willing to injure an animal for money or fear of backlash.
Crying because she’s not allowed to break a poor horse’s back.
Great job ❤❤
Great job, man ✨🙌✨ I wish my friend- the mother of a young child- would do the same as you. GOOD FOR YOU for taking charge of your own behavior and body 💪💪💪
Man that's awesome 👌
Well done !
(ty to birth control for the weight gain btw)
But people just assume I'm fat and lazy, my boyfriend is extremely underweight and can't gain weight, but he's constantly praised for being skinny when in reality he's more unhealthy than me
My people, i may have the worst genetics when it comes to losing weight, unless you literally can't lose weight (for example, you produce too much insulin) there's really no reason to be fat, stress is only an excuse because you could very well workout and say that it relieves your stress. Anyway, back to the main comment, my man, woman, child, drug dealer, attack helicopter, try doing some body weight exercises for some time, it will strength your tendons and ligaments, if they still hurt go see a doctor
@@accelmemory big facts. well said mate. send these obese people to a country that is suffering famine and suddenly their so called medical issues dont make them "automatically" fat within 2 months.
@@accelmemory that’s because america is FILLED with crappy food for less. it’s ridiculous. not only this but healthcare is not free, therefore some medical issues go untreated. it’s sad how the government works

We need to promote fat shaming
I don’t blame the son for saying that. His whole business was ruined just because this woman was petty.
@@joshualiley oh ok. well shes lying about being 220lbs for sure lol she is over 300
@@joshualiley Even then, just because the horse can carry doesn't mean it'll be comfortable for them, which should be the priority rather than the satisfaction of the human consumer. It doesn't help that they have to carry for long periods of time; Imagine having to carry a backpack filled with heavy books for 30 minutes or more. You can definitely carry it, however it's not the best feeling, and you'd probably have backpain for the next few hours.
It’s still not a good idea to push the horse to the limits and some places don’t do 20% some may do 15%

pushing the world on them legs my god
Horses everywhere are celebrating this decision. Saddles are thrilled as well.
@timsmith8506 ofc, unfortunately some people believe that their feelings are more valid or even important than a animals health and well being.
She's teaching her little minions how to be as selfish as she is. SAD 😒
Anyone supporting her are totally ignorant about horse welfare.
Minions can just saddle up and head em out.
Themselves.
Love your honest take on this subject. She had to be doing it on purpose, knowing she’d get refused and she could do the fake tears and complain for her supposed “likes” how sad for her.
You got it👍🏻
Yup, wasn't even crying, more money, more healthy burgers and fried junk
She wanted the place shut down so she could eat the horses

"I've rode several horses and never had a problem"
Yeah but the horses have.
back when I weighted 60 kilos I was allowed to ride basically any horse. now I'm almost 90, and when I went to that ranch I could only ride this big muscular stallion, which was more expensive to ride, so I prefered to just watch. it's the consecuences of my own decisions, so I didn't threw a temper tantrum about it

What's ya height
dude, I was 10 years old when I wanted to ride a pony in a ranch fest but I was denied.
Its ok if you curled up and cried in the corner, idk why there's a stigma behind crying
Same I was 2nd grade but I was also 47-50kg I don’t remember the exact weight but it was around that
Huge respect for the ranch for taking care of their horse❤️ It makes me feel happy that there’s still good people in this world who care about the animals and not about the money.
Damn she mad that she can't break the horse's legs and cause it to be shot in the back of the head.
Can we take a minute to appreciate the strength of the guy pedaling that bike she's riding?
I did
he must have steel legs or something
Good one!!
She maybe should peddle.
@@rofo4610What !! her exercise, that's asking a lot.
I swear, the people part of this movement are the most fragile and insecure. Just because you refuse to lose weight, doesn't mean everything is suddenly fatphobic. It's not fatphobic for them to not let you break a horse's back and a bluey episode isn't fat-phobic for showing the family eat healthy and exercise. Jfc these people need to get a grip

Fr. I’m obese and I hate the fat acceptance movement. The original body positivity movement was encouraged to basically just see the beauty in themselves and others who look different. It was good, but now it’s just a bunch of fat people trying to blame everyone else for their insecurities and problems😂
Tell me about it, i am slightly over overweight but this month i've been exercising and eat healthier. People said i got slimmer now and my old pants fit me again, best feelings ever. Instead of blaming anyone for your shit let's workout to solve the problem here can't we?

I went to this ranch myself and notice they do take great care of their horses, good job for them prioritizing the horse's
As an overweight person I totally agree. Ive never been denied to go on rides or horses etc. but if it was a matter of safety for the horse, myself or others, I would actually have more respect for the company because it shows they care.
i hope you will make a conscious choice to no longer ride a horse til your weight isn’t a safety issue , if thats the case
@@everybodyhatescris3102there are different levels of overweight. Being "overweight" doesn't automatically mean too heavy to ride. A shorter person might be overweight at 140, way below the safety threshold for horse riding.
