    In 2018, my doctor prescribed me Saxenda end. It worked out great. I had zero side effects & lost 24 lbs in four weeks. (Down to 144) My issue was not with excessive eating. I had gained weight due to medicine from my AS..
    Everything was absolutely fantastic, however, at the six week mark, down 25 lbs, my body had plateaued & I couldn’t lose anymore weight, but my Dr. kept me on the Saxenda for an another 8 months with zero weight loss!?. I then decided to take myself off, didn’t gain any weight back.😊
    I had not changed one thing during the course of the time I took Saxenda.
    BUT THEN,
    my doctors had to put me on an aggressive biologic medication regiment, and I gained 38+ lbs in less then 7 weeks 😢
    I tried Saxenda once again, but the side effects were too much for me, a few weeks later I had to stop and lost no weight.
    The good news is that I just started the Rybelsus medication, I’m crossing my fingers that I will have the same success as I did in early 2018! 💜
    thank you so much for your videos

    Started taking this 3 weeks ago, I think I’ve had every symptom listed. The nausea feels like back when I was pregnant, really not comfortable especially when having to still continue with daily life. Also find Im so tired all the time, I definitely sleep a lot better at night but also need a nap in the day. The only way I got rid of my nausea was to eat which contradicted what the drug was trying to do. Previously I’ve use phentamine at a dose of 37.5mg and found that very successful and without the horrible side effects saxander gives

    i used to chain smoke cigarettes. I quit smoking 4 years ago and gained 60lbs and have been obese since. Its been a daily struggle to lose weight. I'm on my second week with Saxenda and the weight is melting off. Saxenda makes me feel satiated as if I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. Its really effective for me. I've had 0 binging episodes. I eat normally. I had nausea the first and second day for a few moments here and there. I do 14/10 intermittent fasting and it works great with Saxenda. I pay attention to what I eat and I'm still in my work out gear after running 2.5 miles. Don't think Saxenda is a be-all-end-all treatment. It's a tool. A very good tool, at least for my personal treatment. :) My doctor has me on a half-as-fast upgrade during the treatment, meaning the dosage upgrade of 0.6mg per week is instead at every 2 weeks. I feel like its working great and I'm not feeling any efficacy loss at the moment, even though I'm still in my first two weeks. I'm curious to see how it will effect me in the long term. I was this close to going back to smoking before getting on Saxenda! Obesity is crazy. I hope everyone finds a good treatment for themselves.

      @BrianYeungND  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The drug itself is not known to affect menstruation, however I've heard people complain of their cycle changing on Saxenda. I've thought it may instead be due to changes in their diet or hormonal balance as they lose weight, or due to changes in other medical conditions related to their weight, such as PCOS. Regardless, you should always check with your doctor to be safe.

    Since it slows down ones digestion, I found it very important to make sure one gets all the nutrients and strangely enough the calories one needs. So one side effect for me is to have a well balanced diet, while utilizing portion control. Also staying on a low dosage, to avoid negativ side effects and drink enough water throughout the day, to avoid headaches, since water is also processed slower.

I am not losing weight at all prior to getting on saxenda I was taking metformin and I was slowly seeing a decrease in weight loss I after getting on saxenda I stopped the metformin and my weight has went up not down my problem is not overeating I never had that problem it's more medical I have had lots of surgeries in the past and have high levels of inflammation in the body according to my scale I have normal body fat percentage no visible pinchable fat but verscal fat that's internal fat. I have high muscle mass and overall I look swollen and not fat but why I'd saxenda not working for me should I see a specialist about the inflammation is that keeping me obese I am 5"5" 220. • @BrianYeungND
      @BrianYeungND  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Most patients just stop and don't need to titrate down or wean off. However, to prevent weight rebound, patients will need to develop strong weight loss habits while on Saxenda, for example managing rebound hunger and appetite: th-cam.com/video/t62DfFsTtXw/w-d-xo.html
      They could also step down to other appetite suppressing tools like using konjac fiber: th-cam.com/video/Tl4YNFNig8I/w-d-xo.html
      This is why I caution patients before starting it because once you start, you can become dependent on it.

      Ozempic and Saxenda work in similar ways, so if one GLP-1 agonist didn't work for you, it's likely the other wont either.
      Some people try other weight loss tools: th-cam.com/play/PL75tw_DVCUBJ9DECdQ6yr0P-Scs816Uyk.html
      However most people who use these weight loss tools need to first follow a good weight loss diet and lifestyle, or the tools often don't work very well. It's often a good idea to work with a professional to guide you through this process if you're having difficulties.

    Hi I've been taking Saxenda for 7 weeks now. I've lost 10kg eating around 1000-1500 calories per day. Last week I started bloating, diarrhea and burping. Went to Dr and stopped diarrhea. But burping still every 40 min if I lying down. My sleep is been affected as I'm up burping all night. Its not really normal burping but loud and grunty. Could this be a side effect or just a tummy bug.
