At the front of the kayak, I have a hole in a similar position as the one in the back which is used to drain water. Should there be a hole at the front or is my one defected? I don’t have a plug or anything to fit in the front

And mine after only 3rd launch although 9 months old. Clearly a manufacturer fault but they don’t want to know after the 90 day limited warranty. Annoying..

Just a tip for anyone that wants an instant patch that really holds. Buy yourself some Zip tape. It's used to tape the seams on zip board roofing systems. I used this stuff on my house and decided to test it on my kayak. I had a hole on the bottom on a seam. I patched it conventionally but then put a big chunk of zip take over it as protection for the patch. That was over a year ago. That tape is fused on to the bottom of my kayak. It's little scuffed up from rocks but still a very strong bond. Fast forward to last week. I got puncture in a bad place where multiple seams come together. I decided to cut a slice next to it and repair from the inside. I used zip tape again both on the original hole and to repair the four inch long slice I made. It's been days at slightly over full inflation. No leaks. This stuff bonds to pvc inflatables like you would not believe. A role is expensive but worth it. I keep it with us when floating for instant repairs. Just cut it and stick it on. Leak gone.

I place my hand under the repair hole by folding the PVC fabric apply patch and then with a small wallpaper seam roller i roller the patch down backwards and forwards motion applying pressure on the roller ,my hand is underneath. You then know you have bonded glue to pvc. I also do this with bike repairs makes a really good seal. Then leave for as long as you can before inflateing a couple fays if you can. If your out paddleing at least an hour.

I had both an Intex Challenger K1 and an Intex Explorer K2, with punctures at the seams. I repaired both at the same time with the kit I got of this man.
    It's a really solid repair, I recommend this.👍👍👍
