"It felt way easier than I thought it would be..." 😂 That's so awesome and a testament to the training you are doing with Cole, Evan, and Haven MK! If you are preparing well, the test(race) should feel easy. So many good lessons here. Preparing well, practicing the things that might be challenging, and having a plan and sticking to it are such important lessons. Good job! Keep it up AHRC!
Thank you Uncle Murray!!! I think my dad/coach did a very good job at training me and Cole for this marathon. So glad the marathon felt this way! - Evan Kim
No wonder Cole only had a one liner when I asked about his race. He was saving the play by play recap for the vlog 😂 THIS is the recap I have been waiting for! Can’t wait to hear more ❤
Thank you Mrs. Anita for being the best cheerleader out there! You were amazing and I hope to watch you complete your sub 3 hour marathon soon! I'll be at the finish line with all the food AND hugs! 💗💗 Evan Kim
thank you thank you thank you! we just finished the final recap video today! so happy about the whole buildup, the event weekend, and the post race recap. yas!
cole and jj liked it so so much too! i could tell when i watched the footage that they had heard that line so many times before. lol. it was a wonderful moment. i think we will all never forget it. thanks for sharing it with us, thomas.
Nice recap and I have learned my lesson with pacers. I appreciate what they do, but I just don't depend on them any more as a gauge. At CIM, I actually asked my pace pacer what their strategy was and she said even splits. Right off the bat she shot out the first 5k 15-20 sec a mile faster than "even" splits. 😆 Not the first such experience.
i've been there too. i think it's best to just start the race, and if the pacer happens to be near, strike up a conversation on the course about strategy.
Great job Cole and Evan!!! When Evan was about to cross the finish line with her arms out, that was something else!
It was wild Justin. Cant wait to do it again!!!
Thank you Justin! I can't wait to cross the finish line the same way at the LA Olympics in 2028!
