Thanks for such a detailed walkthrough of the park. Looks wonderful! Cool to see Snow White in the style that Magic Kingdom in Florida had it. Thanks for sharing!
Just wanted to say thank you so much for this! I've been stuck in bed with the flu and was feeling really down. Watching your vlog put me in the best mood. What a great park. Thanks for taking us all along with you! :)
Tygra Yes it adds more new orleans feel for the new orleans themed world bazaar due to new orleans jazz often uses pianos and has rag style, including dixieland.
what an epic park! and what an epic trip you've had Shawn! I've thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the video's from the Mega Trip and can't wait for the final video. Thank you for sharing it with us☺
Loved these videos. We were there a few days after you must have been. So sorry you didn't get to see the Easter Parade. There was an official dance to go with the parade and all the locals danced along. It was an experience.
Shawn, I've decided you're absolutely right about the "BTM's" Disneyland Paris wins hands down. I was on the fence because of the upgrade Anaheim got with the affects and smoke, however, when you pointed out that Paris Cue's across the river, WOW! Very cool. and now I heard Paris has received a similar affect's upgrade. Impressive
13:53 is the halloween haunting ride and after that looking its surroundings, then looking at Dumbo ride and some Fantasyland strolling and sight-seeing, then entering the park's ultimate margarita earth and queuing that land's core ride.
Congratulations Shawn, Best vlog of the trip so far. We saw you with all the facts and figures, we saw the rides, but most of all we saw lots the park the theming, it's buildings and the people for a change?
So later in Asia there are two Disneyland parks with "It's a Small World" ride with added Disney characters when Tokyo's "It's a Small World" ride reopens on spring 2018 after undergoing long refurbishment (where the added Disney characters include the character from Frozen), besides Hong Kong Disneyland's (which contains Bambi, Pinocchio, Aladdin and Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mowglie and Baloo etc.).
18:15 - 18:24 is the transition from Oktoberfest (Medieval Bavarian Germany themed Fantasyland area) to margaritas where the Oktoberfest fades out and the margarita trail starts at 18:25.
The medieval sides of Fantasyland are the castles-themed buildings (including Cinderella castle, It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion, and Castle Carousel), and also the Bavarian village.
TPW: "I have hundreds and hundreds of Coaster/Ride credits." Person 1: "I don't believe you. Show me the evidence." TPW: "Do you have youtube?..." Person 1: ...
Splash Mountains of both Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom of Florida and Tokyo Disneyland were constructed on 1991 and finalized on the year of 1992 where WDW's opening was on 17 July 1992 on the western world of Frontierland and Tokyo's on 1 October 1992 together with the Critter Country and its Texas and New Mexico terrains/sceneries. Before the scene where Br'er Rabbit is caught inside a beehive by Br'er Fox where "Laughing Place" theme fades out and the tense orchestral music of "Burrow's Lament" awaits the guests, there is an animatronic gopher saying FSU which is Florida State University where one of the designer of the WDW's ride was graduated from that university; this FSU sound also appears in Tokyo ride.
The very first Splash Mountain in California Disneyland is a medley of Georgia and New Orleans swamp/bayou and the ride has a more bayou feel with the big band jazzy soundtrack whereas in both Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland the bayou feel was changed to the Rio Grande river feel where in Magic Kingdom it was built on the cowboy world of Frontierland and in Tokyo Disneyland, Splash Mountain was squeezed into the south-western wildlife of Texas/New Mexico medley of a brand new Critter Country, making these two Splash Mountains of Magic Kingdom and TDL share the same music score using banjos and harmonicas.
I’m in Australia and it’s difficult to even get to Queensland to go to the theme parks there. It’s my dream to go around the world and see all the Disney parks. I think when I finally get to one I’m going to cry.
Now, Tokyo Disneyland's It's a Small World is already re-opened with new more beautiful queue area, repainted California Disneyland-style outdoor facade, and Disney anime characters in the ride in responsible countries such as Pinocchio and Jiminy in Italy, the 3 Caballeros in Mexico, Lion King critters including Simba in Africa, Peter Pan in England, Rapunzel in Switzerland, Mowglie and Baloo in India, Moana in Tahiti and Frozen characters in Norway. There is also a longer goodbye message room and welcoming room before Scandinavia segment.
New Orleans Square and Liberty Square, are, in essence, sub-areas of Frontierland, and in four out of the five cases, the mansion house overlooks the River. Notice how even in Tokyo, the Mansion is placed as close to Frontierland as they could make it.
So now the arrangements of Tokyo's Small World ride are: -Welcome tunnel -Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Denmark) -UK (England, Scotland) and Ireland -More Western and Southern Europe (France, Spain, Holland, Italy, and Switzerland (Geneva, Zurich and Swiss Alps)) -Near East (Arabia (Dubai and Saudi), Greece and Russia) -Asia (China, India, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, and Malaysia) -Sahara (Egypt) and Africa safari countries (Kenya, Zaire, Congo, Uganda etc.) -South America (Mexico, Brazil, Andean countries (Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Chile)) -Australasia (Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Polynesian islands (Hawaii, French Polynesia, Samoa, Cook Island and Easter Island)) -Grand finale -Goodbye messages tunnel
Also the critters' houses in Critter Country area as well as the Grandma Sara's Kitchen restaurant are deemed to be "haciendas" (Mexican houses) where Mexico is one of the sub themes of the land.
28:14 For disclosure, I've been living super close to Disneyland Paris for almost a year and a half now, and as an annual passholder I can confirm you it's impossible to grow tired of places like these, not even if you live super close to them!
It's interesting and cool how the Japanese culture sees ghosts as fairytales (hence why Haunted Mansion is in Fantasyland). Although the spiderweb room from their version is from the old, pre-2007 version in Florida (which this one is modeled directly after). Although Florida's changed to the M.C. Escher stairs room, I guess Tokyo decided not to. They also still have the bride with her beating, red heart as opposed to the Florida version with the disappearing/reappearing axe.
New Mexico only exists in the park's Critter Country with mountainous terrains, while the Westernland represents the states of Utah (Big Thunder Mountain Railroad area), Mississippi (Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer area) and cowboy themed town representing Kansas, Wyoming, Nevada and some Texas (more Texas themed areas are in Critter Country). Then the land which is more margarita orientated is Critter Country.
The lands themed to the Old South in TDL are New Orleans themed World Bazaar and its transition street to Adventureland (Pirates of the Caribbean home area), Westernland (themed to Texas, Mississippi and Utah's Monument Valley), and Critter Country (themed to Texas and New Mexico, as well as Georgia River for Splash Mountain tracks).
In Critter Country, Arizona's location is Phoenix, where that capital was the filming studio for plantation scene of Song of the South, the movie which Splash Mountain is based on, and the mountain building of Splash Mountain resembles Piestewa Peak of Phoenix, Arizona.
ISE D- Wrong! Splash Mountain has nothing to do with Arizona. Song of the South is based on the works of Joel Chandler Harris who lived in Atlanta. You can actually visit his home, the Wren's Nest there. The red clay color on Splash Mountain mimics Georgia's famous red clay. Song of the the South has nothing to do with Phoenix or Arizona.
Andrew Hughes SOTS is also nothing to do with Louisiana/New Orleans but the Critter Country area in California DL is made bayou-ish may due to the ride neighbors New Orleans Square (near Haunted Mansion) and additionally the soundtrack is big-band jazz style, and in WDW, the mountain building's GA red clay color is medleyed with AZ/western canyon-ish colors, owing to located in Frontierland, and also its close proximity to Big Thunder Mt. But Splash always never betrays GA wildlife theme.
Andrew Hughes So it is just like Phantom Manor in Paris Disneyland where the ride is bulit in Frontierland where Phantom Manor is all about ghost story and nothing to do with the Old West and the Old West is nothing to do with Phantom Manor storyline where the Old West is just for Frontierland area theming and not Phantom Manor's story which is mystic/supernatural themed, whereas Splash Mountain, which is GA themed is located in Critter Country in Calif Disneyland where the land is also part bayou and Frontierland in WDW and ghost town saloon/canyon area themed Critter Country in Tokyo Disneyland, where Splash is only themed to overall GA and nothing to do neither with Louisiana bayou nor AZ/American Southwest, so the Louisiana bayou or AZ apply to the themes of the LAND AREA only, and NOT the Splash Mt. ride.
Besides Splash Mountain and Critter Country, the Disney rides and ride areas themed to different geographical location in different parks is the Haunted Mansion; in California Disneyland it is themed to the Lalaurie Mansion, which is New Orleans's haunted house due to the attraction's location in New Orleans Square, in Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World, the Haunted Mansion is themed to Philadelphia's Pennhurst Asylum which is one of Philadelphia's haunted place, where the ride is located in Philadelphia themed Liberty Square and finally, Tokyo Disneyland's Haunted Mansion which is in Fantasyland, is themed to the Medieval castle which is home of witches/wizards.
And the instrumentals of different versions of Splash Mountain ride is different; the first one in California Disneyland is unique with jazzy style due to the ride and area's close proximity to New Orleans Square, while Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland's Splash Mountain use different music aroma which is country/western style with banjos and harmonicas to bring western feel.
FOR DISNEY PARK'S MARDI GRAS EARTH LISTS: -California Disneyland: New Orleans Square and Critter Country's bayou side with Splash Mountain and Explorer Canoes -Magic Kingdom, Hong Kong Disneyland and Paris Disneyland: Main Street USA -Tokyo Disneyland: World Bazaar and Adventureland's Royal Street
The ultimate margarita earth of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is Epcot's Mexico pavillion of World Showcase while the ultimate margarita earth of Tokyo Disneyland is Critter Country.
We're also entertained with banjo music loops in Splash Mountain's dark queue area from the Santa Fe themed entrance building, the long mine shaft line with talking animatronic owl themed to treehouse cabins of Taos, New Mexico and more interior canyons until the ride load area.
ISE D- Where are you getting this wrong information? Splash Mountain is themed to Georgia where the Song of the South was set. It has NOTHING to do with the American Southwest. Please get your facts straight.
Andrew Hughes Splash Mountain is all about GA and not the southwest nor Louisiana/New Orleans, and the American southwest is not for Splash, but instead, it is just for the Westernland area theming in TDL where the ride is located in, and Louisiana is for Critter Country bayou-ish theming which neighbors NO Square in California D-Land, but not for Splash.
So New Mexico is one of USA's Mountain States that are also known of the "Mountain West" (explained in Wiki) and this state becomes one of the sub-themes of Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country that contains many mountainous terrains where these terrains are expansions from Splash Mountain.
Arizona only serves for the theming of Splash Mountains of both Walt Disney World in Florida and Tokyo Disneyland; California Disneyland's Splash Mountain has more Georgia themings, where that state is where Song of the South is based on, and some Louisiana for the bayou orientated components.
ISE D- Wrong...all 3 Splash Mountains are inspired by Song of the South, which is based in Georgia. Not Arizona, New Mexico, or Utah. Plus Georgia contains swamps as well which is another name for bayous. Florida's Splash Mountain is more rugged in appearance then DL/Tokyo DL's mountains because of its location right next to Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland. DL/Tokyo's versions have their own dedicated lands hence the more cartoony feel. However all 3 mountains are based on Georgia landscapes.
another great vlog guys. my family have watched all your vlogs and are massive fans. when are u going to dlp? iam there in october. then i think ill get saving for tokyo.
Thus the Georgia theming of Splash Mountains of Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland is reduced or made 50:50 due to Arizona also serves as the sub-themes due to the ride is located in Western themed land and it can be benefited by both the developers and viewers of Splash Mountain in terms of cutting the dark side of Song of the South.
Entering the Splash Mountain queue in Critter Country making the New Mexican margarita trail darker but still entertained by the banjo music loops as well as the large Hidden Mickey as seen in the Day One TDL video.
DISNEY PARKS' MARGARITA EARTHS LISTS: -California Disneyland, Paris Disneyland and Magic Kingdom of Disney World: Frontierland -Epcot of Disney World: Mexico pavillion of World Showcase -Tokyo Disneyland: Westernland and Critter Country -Hong Kong Disneyland: Grizzly Gulch
Maintenance on Space Mountain AND it's a small world at the same time is a bit of a poor showing isn't it? That's my two favourite rides. I'd have been gutted.
Due to the America Sings suffered from low attendance and most animatronics of that deceased attraction were utilized by Tony Baxter to be addressed for Splash Mountain.
Since Splash Mountain is based on the controversial movie Song of the South, which contains slavery scene, the theming of the area, including Critter Country should be made unique in order to cut dark side of Song of the South. Like Tokyo Disneyland's Critter Country, there are variations of Deep South US states like Texas, New Mexico etc.
So this is to minimize the Georgia theming of Song of the South, where in the movie, this US state is where there is a slavery scene. Thus other Deep South US states were incorporated to Splash Mountain's home.
35:21 Back to the Mardi Gras earth of New Orleans themed land (World Bazaar). 57:29 Mardi Gras trip returns via the near World Bazaar Adventureland area.
I think it's great how good of a friendship you both have and respecting what eachother want to do!
Another great vlog. Enjoy watching all your videos but I do love the Disney ones 😁
Shawn's voice has become a daily necessity to me, a day without watching a vlog is not a day to me. #ShawnsFascinatingFactsOfTheDay
Thank you for watching!
Serious lesson learned from these vlogs: For Tokyo Disney Resort, four days ain't enough! ;) Great vlog Shawn!
I wish we had longer!
Thanks for such a detailed walkthrough of the park. Looks wonderful! Cool to see Snow White in the style that Magic Kingdom in Florida had it. Thanks for sharing!
Such a great vlog, really enjoyed this! Don't usually comment, but this is just brilliant! Nice1
I love theme park worldwide
Thank you for the support Karen!
The ending of tgis video is the most touching I have seen. I love it. Thank you for all your videos. You guys are a great lot of peeps. :)
Just wanted to say thank you so much for this! I've been stuck in bed with the flu and was feeling really down. Watching your vlog put me in the best mood. What a great park. Thanks for taking us all along with you! :)
Hi Shawn my favourite Disney Park is also Disneyland Paris just like you said and I'm your massive fan of Theme Park Worldwide.
The Piano Player was so lovely. Very talented as well.
Tygra Yes it adds more new orleans feel for the new orleans themed world bazaar due to new orleans jazz often uses pianos and has rag style, including dixieland.
Another fantastic vlog, Well done Shawn!
The pianist at 35:30 is the kind of thing that separates Disney from any other theme park in the world, he was absolutely brilliant!
Ben Hutson I know a few parks that have that....
QDude24 I know that but it's just how enthusiastic and excited he is!
Ben Hutson I know a few parks that have that....

That guy on the piano was excellent!
I've Been On The Pinocchio's Darling Journey Dark Ride At Tokyo Disneyland Resort This Year. Thanks Theme Park Worldwide Mate. X
13:53 is the halloween haunting ride and after that looking its surroundings, then looking at Dumbo ride and some Fantasyland strolling and sight-seeing, then entering the park's ultimate margarita earth and queuing that land's core ride.
I love your videos. I have to say Tokyo Disneyland visually reminds me of Disneyland in the 1980s, especially Tomorrowland.
Congratulations Shawn, Best vlog of the trip so far. We saw you with all the facts and figures, we saw the rides, but most of all we saw lots the park the theming, it's buildings and the people for a change?

I (we) just booked a flight to Japan in november!!
Have a great time!

We both wanted to do different things on this day and I'm glad we're both happy doing that

Tokyo Disneyland Resort Is Bigger Than Disneyland Paris In France. Thanks Theme Park Worldwide Mate. X 🎪
It's a similar size!

Waddup Shawn love ur vlogs I've been watching almost every single one of your vids in my free time.
47:55 The revisit of the parent land of Tokyo Disneyland park's Tex-Mex margarita earth while 18:25 is just the land's sub-land.
Next year, Small World of TDL will be added Disney Characters, including the ones from Frozen.
Great VLOG!
Thank you
Disneyland Tokyo Is Bigger Than Disneyland Paris. Thanks Theme Park Worldwide Mate. X
Luke Green Also Tokyo has Splash Mountain and Jungle Cruise whereas Paris does not may due to weather concerns.

You should have got Alex to vlog his day
Now that would of been awesome!
FOR DISNEY PARK'S MARDI GRAS EARTH LISTS:
-California Disneyland: New Orleans Square and Critter Country's bayou side with Splash Mountain and Explorer Canoes
-Magic Kingdom, Hong Kong Disneyland and Paris Disneyland: Main Street USA
-Tokyo Disneyland: World Bazaar and Adventureland's Royal Street
Did Alex also do a vlog at Disney Sea? 😂 I want to see what he gets up to. I bet he was having a great time on the single rider.
48:20 Wild ride of Utah's Monument Valley.
The ultimate margarita earth of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is Epcot's Mexico pavillion of World Showcase while the ultimate margarita earth of Tokyo Disneyland is Critter Country.

Fantastic!
What editor do you use?
Sony Vegas
18:15 - 18:25 evokes the transition from Medieval age to the wild west era.

Andrew Hughes But in WDW the color is made like AZ canyon due to close proximity to Big Thunder Mt. and to be the perfect blend to Frontierland.
That fort you went to kind of reminds me of that tv show called F Troop that was on years ago.
with the train traveling did you have to buy them separately or were they included with the flights and accommodation
We had to buy them separately
another great vlog guys. my family have watched all your vlogs and are massive fans. when are u going to dlp? iam there in october. then i think ill get saving for tokyo.
Thanks for watching, we're next at Disneyland Paris in November
Theme Park Worldwide shame we will miss meeting u there. hope u have a great time tho.
Where's the milk man? Am I dreaming or was he not with you? :/
As I mentioned at the start he went back inside DisneySea on this day
Thus the Georgia theming of Splash Mountains of Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland is reduced or made 50:50 due to Arizona also serves as the sub-themes due to the ride is located in Western themed land and it can be benefited by both the developers and viewers of Splash Mountain in terms of cutting the dark side of Song of the South.
I saw you at Alton towers, I was the small one that asked you about the SW8 construction
Great to see you
Theme Park Worldwide great to see you too, keep up the good work
i love your vlogs sooo much just a questoin have you ever wantted to go to a iappa expo
I would love to visit one day
Besides Hawaii, Tahiti can also be the sub-theme of Adventureland.
Thus Adventureland can be reputed as Moana land.
Entering the Splash Mountain queue in Critter Country making the New Mexican margarita trail darker but still entertained by the banjo music loops as well as the large Hidden Mickey as seen in the Day One TDL video.
And Tokyo Disneyland's ultimate margarita earth of Critter Country until now is still the same for the area and Splash Mountain.
DISNEY PARKS' MARGARITA EARTHS LISTS:
-California Disneyland, Paris Disneyland and Magic Kingdom of Disney World: Frontierland
-Epcot of Disney World: Mexico pavillion of World Showcase
-Tokyo Disneyland: Westernland and Critter Country
-Hong Kong Disneyland: Grizzly Gulch
In Shanghai Disneyland, no cowboy/western/Tex-Mex world themed land.
Did you go to universal Japan?
Not on this trip unfortunately
Theme Park Worldwide another reason to go back 😁
Maybe a Japan-Korea trip (for Everland and Lotte World)
18:25 The revisit of TDL's Tex-Mex margarita earth.
Palo Duro canyon walkthrough.
The margarita earth in Paris Disneyland is its park's Frontierland.
The Haunted Mansion is located at the right of the park's ultimate margarita earth, the Critter Country.
Hey you should go to bellewearde in Belgium I've heard its a amazing theme park 👍👍👍
39:51 Revisiting Pooh's dream discotheque.
When are you visiting Disneyland Paris?
November!
@theamparkworldwide are u going to Alton towers this weekend
I will be working on the turnstiles this weekend
amazing video!!
I'm going to be uploading Vlogs of me going to Thorpe Park!
Any tips from the best?
Have a great time, just keep them natural and entertaining!
Thus Tokyo's Critter Country is pretty much like Grizzly Gulch in Hong Kong Disneyland due to being a western themed animal world.

What is your favourite non-Disney themepark?
Europa Park
Theme Park Worldwide but you said Phantasia as well....
Did you ride Monsters Inc?
We did indeed
Maintenance on Space Mountain AND it's a small world at the same time is a bit of a poor showing isn't it? That's my two favourite rides. I'd have been gutted.
The animatronics of Splash Mountain were from the extinct California Disneyland attraction, America Sings.
They were indeed!
Due to the America Sings suffered from low attendance and most animatronics of that deceased attraction were utilized by Tony Baxter to be addressed for Splash Mountain.
The way you talk clearly shows you deserve it 32:47
all the disney parks so far.....
Thanks for sharing these very insightful comments!
So this is to minimize the Georgia theming of Song of the South, where in the movie, this US state is where there is a slavery scene. Thus other Deep South US states were incorporated to Splash Mountain's home.
And in the real-world Sandia Mountains of New Mexico, there is an air tram ride.
why didn't you go to universal studios Japan🇯🇵??
We didn’t have time to unfortunately. It’s on the plan for my next visit!
