- In this vlog we head to Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World and discover both Pandora: The World Of Avatar and Rivers Of Light for the first time. We share our full review from the latest additions to Disney's Animal Kingdom along with footage from around this incredible new area. We also share highlights from the beautiful lake show known as Rivers Of Light along with on ride footage from many of the other attractions at the park.
We ride on Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur and many more fantastic attractions that are located in this beautiful Disney park. As always it's great to get back inside this stunning park and we had a brilliant day seeing all of the new additions since our last visit.

If Disney can do that with Pandora, as a Marvel fan I would love to see them make Wakanda from Black Panther, I think it could look amazing, with Warrior Falls and the Panther statue or even make Asgard but I don't think they ever would

Really good reviews of Pandora's attractions, a lot of people say Navi River isn't that great but I think they compare it to Flight of Passage. The animatronic at the end alone is just unbelievable
I went last year and I've been to Disney World over 10 times and rode everything, and Flight of Passage is the most amazing experience ever

Disney and Universal have raised the bar so high that it trickles down to the smaller independent parks raising their game as well.

When I was there last year I headed straight for Pandora bang on when the park opened, went straight for flight of passage and the stand by time said 120 minutes.
I actually only waited 45 minutes the same as you guys but the only downside, to get more people on the ride they diverted everyone straight to the pre-show and then on to the ride so I missed that whole immersive queue line which I'm still gutted about and because the flight chamber we were in was having technical difficulties, we had to go out down some stairs, watch the pre-show again then we finally got on the ride.
Experience was great all the same but I definitely recommend if you get fast passes for Pandora to use them for the boat journey and not flight of passage.
Can I say Thankyou for posting such interesting and informative vlogs, I felt like i was there with you. I'm off to WDW in September and was going in blind as Ive never been, but these vlogs are making me excited to go.
Shawn and Alex really put it well after their Navi River Journey review. Disney World really had to step up their game, not only because it felt like the Asia Disney Parks we’re getting better and better and WDW was becoming stagnant, but also because Universal stepped up their game with their Harry Potter Lands; and Disney delivered!! Animal Kingdom is a world class theme park and Pandora is easily one of the best themed lands Disney has ever created. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for Animal Kingdom

I have to disagree with FOP - easily the best attraction in Orlando for me personally! Unbelievable queueline, the experience leading up to the ride is phenomenal and the ride itself is so immersive!

Pandora and Wizarding World of Harry Potter are the most immersive areas in the world. Just amazing places
Another great vlog :) When you not totally sure you are in a store or exhibition or actually in a cue line, you know they nailed the theming. Kali? Is the best themed river rapid i have seen (On video). Loved the part whit all the roots and lumber. Can see why you rate this park so high, absolutely gorgeous theming.

I only started watching your vlogs a while ago and I love them! So, since you mentioned you came here in 2017 with Harry I searched through your vlogs from last year and added many of them to my Watch Later list, including the Disney Vlogs. I loved your vlogs from Dubai with Harry, so I'm sure I will love the Disney vlogs with him as well. I also really love the vlogs with Alex, Charlotte and all of your friends. It is always a nice surprise to see who comes along when I start a new vlog and I always like it. And of course I like you, Shawn, as well, but that goes without saying, since you are in all the vlogs! :) You have a really nice team of people around you to accompany you on your adventures. So, keep it up everyone! Together you make this channel not just great, but absolutely fantastic!!! Now I just have to take off at least three weeks from work to watch all the Theme Park Worldwide vlogs that I still would like to watch. ;)

The avatar ride for me is by far the best experience ive ever seen,.
The level of detail around Pandora is just insane. I don't mind waiting in long queues when there's so much to take in.
Just think of the 180+ minute queues for Derren Brown's Ghost Train in the summer - you've got wooden fences to look at and that's about it.

If you loved Rivers of Light, you would have LOVED The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic. Not sure if you had the chance to see it. It was amazing. Had live singing, so many dancers, a SEVERE Bollywood theme which made it even better. Also projections and water effects like ROL. It was an amazing show though.

when I went to animal kingdom I queued between 120 to 150 minutes you were extremely lucky to catch it on an 65 minute queue.
Those animatronics at 50:38 are incredible.

I just had a thought! SeaWorld should adopt this concept for Orcas.I mean, the imagineers traveled to those habitats and replicate.They can have a "Farewell Orca show" on the day before their release date!

My Only critique is what I give me in movies. Just relax and enjoy instead of letting that amazing mind control every second of something that should be natural and fun. Sometimes it spoils the meaning if you’re analysing. Sometimes art is just art and running it through the wringer spoils the heart

Around what time did you start standing by for flight of passage? I’m curious to hear how long you guys waited in line to ride the rides in the afternoon
It was around 3pm
We were most excited to see the animatronic lady in the avatar ride but then the sound cut out on our Tv and came back on straight after her appearance, we watch that bit again on our laptop's and the sound was still cut out at the same point, is this a problem for everyone or is it just us? it was funny anyway. Lol.
That's definitely not supposed to happen!

It’s so immersive 😳 and tbh I’ve not done that many parks, I’m from the Uk and we don’t do things the same here 😂 other than those I’ve only really been to the Florida parks, Disneyland Paris and a few across Europe so probably not enough to have one haha
We really enjoyed it, but the Asia dark rides are beautifully themed set pieces and take the top spot for me!
Animal kingdom has gone from been a half day park to a full day experience.
Fun fact. They can’t lower the wait time pass 65 so if it’s 65 it’s a walk on usually.

BlockBuster 2006 wonder if you were there the same day as me - the exact same thing happened!! Luckily a very kind cast member upgraded me to a park hopper so I got to check out Hollywood Studios for the last 3hrs of opening!!

That Dinosaur ride is so much shorter than I remember, still looks great fun though.
The Dinosaur ride was cut short in this vlog. It's much longer than what was shown.
It is indeed much longer than it was in the vlog, it's just to dark for the camera in places

It takes a couple of hours per vlog usually
You mention the missing yeti animatronic, but you seem to imply that it's the big yeti near the end of the ride.
When the ride first opened there was a full size yeti animatronic at the end of the backwards section (they now just project a shadow onto the wall).
The broken yeti is actually the large one at the end, the projected yeti was installed when the ride opened in 2006!

Dinosaur actually is the Indiana Jones ride just with a different IP. literally the entirety of the track layout and the vehicle is the same. Dinosaur was actually the Indiana Jones ride in Florida before the dinosaur movie then the reskin into dinosaur. Honestly I don’t think that ride’s going anywhere as talks about the ride keep stalling and you get nothing except maybe a fix if it breaks down but that’s about it. No updates no nothing.
