He was that dark every summer. Golf and pick up games at the play grounds and parks. he had a love of the game clause in his contract. He could play any time he wanted.
The guy that was rushing forward into him while the guys in front of Jordan were trying to block his shot was trying to throw off his control of the ball. He was rushing into the ball-handling arm in the hope of making him miss... but it didn't work.
A lot of players who went against Jordan said he was deceptively strong. Love it when people say he would get out muscled today lol I've seen him flat out muscle PF and centers lol
I saw this man play and I'm gotta say. He's even faster and jump higher in person. This video does not do him justice a true freak of nature 23🐐💯 great reaction bro.
Many people lose melanin as they age which is why he’s lighter later in his career. Back then a cable TV package included a Chicago station called TBS which aired a majority of the Bulls games and I tried not to miss one because Michael did things on a nightly basis that would just blow your mind. His game was beautiful to watch…artwork
Number 30 is the great Bernard King that Jordan froze like a deer in headlights. 53 is the Hall of Fame Artis Gilmore. He was probably on his last foul when he did that.
I had the opportunity to watch Michael Jordan play live I’m born and raised in Chicago. I spent $500 to watch Michael play in the 1992 finals against the Blazers and Michael hit six three-pointers in the first half of 35 points. Is it for a sad dude watching him play live he’s like, I do stuff video game life for real for real. He saw amazing he was so unreal. I’m just blessed that I was able to witness God.
1:01 that’s how they played in the 80s . My guess is because the 50s 60s and 70s were fast paced, high volume shots. So in the 80s players became bigger and more physical
Gotta get a reel of 86-87 Dropped 40pts 37x. 50pts 8x. 9 gms str8t with 40+. Averaged 37.1/5/5 with 3.0 SPG and 1.5 BPG. Nobody's EVER touched that... except MJ the following year -League MVP -DPOY -Scoring Champ -Steals Leader -All-Star Gm MVP -Total points leader -All NBA first team -All NBA defensive first team -Playoff PPG leader -Only player to ever hit 200 steals/100 blocks in a season (and did it in 87 and 88) -Most blocks by any guard ever with 141 -Only player ever wit B2B 50PT gms in the playoffs -And slam dunk comp winner for good measure 35/6/6 3.2 SPG and 1.6 BPG shooting 53.5% from the field. 🐐
