When my son, who normally likes clean looking modern stuff, picked two of our vases for his new appartment he to my surprise chose two classic clear crystal vases like you showed.
Haha! We’ve so much in common! I’m REALLY enjoying this video George! I can’t nomad like you so I won’t have so many new items to show you, but I sure do look forward to it! Leroy and my Penny are BOTH going in for old-car oil changes now. And they deserve them! I was being silly and wondering if Leroy likes ladies. 🤭 Anyway, I’m rambling. I’m bringing more German MCM pottery, some pixies, tons of Christmas, Halloween ephemera, and some new old jewelry. See you in about a month, dear George!
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive Over the time watching I noticed other differences too. For example that you find almost no milk glass here. The few pieces you see are probably brought back from vacations to the US. Not to talk about the many differences with vintage toys.
Hi again, George. You have several pieces that I really like. That Victorian letter holder was fantastic, and I liked the bellows, too, even with the hole in the leather. If there was a decanter with those silver cordials, I'd have been bouncing in my chair 😂 I usually don't do silver...ain't gonna polish it...but that would make a great set, with a decanter, from someone that collects beverage sets. Another thing that isn't usually in my line of interest is brass, but that Victorian gargoyle piece I really liked. The small loom interested me, too. For some reason, I'm drawn to antique and vintage sewing/thread-working items. Those old toys - WOW! I loved that they hadn't been redone/refinished! I like old toys to look like old toys that were actually played with and tell that history. Something you might not believe - I really liked the Tiki/Totem items! 😆 _All_ of them! Those were really eye-catching. It was great to hear you say you are beginning to go back with items that have been neglected for a long time! They still have their place, and it's great to hear that younger people are becoming interested in them again. That was a fun live!
Hi there! Glad you got to enjoy this stuff with me, it's always fun going into private homes and because I can't film there, it sometimes doesn't find its way onto TH-cam before I sell it. I wish to find a silver decanter, that would be great together! I'm not a brass person generally, but I make an exception for fine old Bradley & Hubbard or inkwells, etc. I can't sew a button, but it's fun to see skilled hands that can use this old stuff. So nice to find not just great big old toys, but not overrestored either! I'm a little surprised about your Tiki interest, but I share it and you certainly picked well, those are really good. I'm trying to introduce new people to older things, so my going back to items that have been neglected is calculated, but with good reason! I'm glad you had fun, so did I.
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive If there had been a silver decanter with those cordials, I'd be more than tempted to scrouge in another set into my collection 😆 I'm the same when it comes to brass. There isn't a lot of it that interests me, but items like that gargoyle/grotesque do catch my attention. I'm no stranger to needle and thread, but I've never used a loom. If I had space, I'd have a collection of antique sewing/thread-working items. I actually surprised myself, with the Tiki items 😂 I definitely applaud you for introducing new people to older items! A reinterest in quality is always a good thing!
In reference to the Korean incense burner, the largest Korean antique district in the country in in the Insadong district of Seoul which is also home to almost half of the art galleries in the country as well. Being near a number of foreign embassies assess, it attracts many western buyers.
Very nice things George! Do you think there will be any left over for spokane? 😂 I love those hanging hearts! I'm thinking those will be long gone by then tho! 😢
Hi George , I am looking forward to your show in Springfield OH, such a nice place to visit !! ❤
Great show as always. Love watching

That's what I'm noticing too, also surprised but good to see!

Leroy does like the ladies! ;) I'm excited to see all you have, we'll have fun at Rose City Vintage in October
❤️
❤ me too 😊
Today we have mugs, mousepads and bags with our pictures. Back then they had mirrors. Interresting, never seen decorated mirrors this old in Europe.
They are interesting and I just presumed Europe would’ve had same, that’s interesting!

I will file that info away in the event I go there sometime! Korean antiques are interesting to me

I will not be selling those cheap so we'll see! I'll bring any that are left
Hi, George. Will you be at the Carlisle, Pa. glass show?
Not this time but hopefully soon
Hi George. I missed the live yesterday but im watching it now. 😊
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@TheAntiqueNomadLive Yes you got some nice and interesting items! I enjoy watching your videos. ✌️👌👍
You can store your polished silver in a plastic bag or a fitting Tupperware and it will not turn black for a long time.
Very good tip, I use big viplock bags 😊
I heard Kate saying in a vide that she is beginning to zoom in on victoriana. Wonder if you are the influencer 😉
I think we’re all noticing that younger collectors who haven’t seen it are finding it’s fanciness interesting
