Btw your little jar of Pesto Genovese is quite expensive compared to west europe, but the rest of the groceries seemed reasonable
I can buy that size of pesto of supermarket quality for 5-8 Lari here
It looks like everything processed is more expensive than in the Netherlands (olive oil, butter) and everything unprocessed is slightly cheaper (vegetables, fish etc)
But all together I was surprised how expensive your food is. I thought it would be cheaper.

Sounds like an awesome place. If Georgia manages the population influx correctly, you just might start to see some of those city developments come to pass. It's definitely inexpensive compared to the US though -- your grocery take would have been more like US$60 in my part of the country, and we live in a relatively cheap area. Great perspective; thanks! 👍

Have you considered rail? Its usually cheap to get around Europe and you can an unlimited pass usually for six months to travel all over the continent. At the moment, airfare prices will stay high! Unfortunately, because of the war, travel to and from Europe via Russia has been suspended. Your Russian passport isn’t of much value unless you change nationality. A good overview of life in Georgia! There could be worse places to live for a digital nomad in your situation. Let’s see what 2023 holds in store for the future. Dari, remain safe and stay blessed.

    • @DariStep

Rail can be very convenient! When I lived in Europe, I traveled like that all the time. But you cannot really get from Georgia to Europe my rail. For ex, you can get to Baku by train but right now they don’t operate.. soo)

I would say for that amount of food it would probably cost about 70 dollars here in america with taxes included. What!? Theres a techno scene there too?! I need to check that out for sure)) The language there looks interesting. I dont think ive ever seen those letters being used in another country before. Is there anywhere else that uses their language or letters other than Georgians?

@@DariStep thats very cool that their language is very unique to them. I wonder the history of it and who made it. Also how they came up with it.

@@jeremyo1457 That is actually 1 out of 3 scripts we have. The one you're seeing is the Mxedruli, the most modern one. There's also Asomtavruli/Mrglovani and Nusxuri, Asomtavruli being the oldest. Nusxuri was being used from 10th to 19th century. Nowadays seen very rarely, sometimes on ceremonies.

That was an interesting video. It seems that you may now not be leaving Tbilisi after your holiday in Moscow. You seem to be settled in a job with a start up company, which is a good thing. All of the brightest and best young Russians seem to have relocated to places like Georgia and are contributing to those country's economies.

Little bit of Correction about Khinkali. Khinkali is not a Georgian Dumpling. Just Call it Khinkali, it has nothing with dumplings or ever had before. Don't mistake it to dumpling because of the appearance. It is just a Khinkali and Call it Khinkali. Not Georgian Dumpling :)
