@@rickyric7039 True, but in the Arcade Mode he tells I-No that next time, once he's managed to escape the Paradox Space they're trapped inside, he wants to try being the hero for once. So, who knows, maybe next time it'll be Happy Chaos that will be the protagonist instead.

After nearly two decades of 'kill wife,' 'wife fight back,' I'm glad that Sol can finally be at a place where he can say 'Life Good'.
Jack-O and Sol's ending is my favourite one to come out of Strive.
It's great to see Jack-O accept herself as an individual in the world that deserves happiness and for Sol to finally put down his arms to live out the rest of his life in peace with the family he now has.
When Sol said "Have I ever called you Aria?" while Jack-O was doubting whether she should "stay" or not (don't wanna spoil lol) that got me a little stuffy 😭

I still think, despite getting his ass kicked almost immediately after, Ky looking at I-No's god form straight in the eyes and not cry, as if dismissing her godhood, was raw as hell.
Ky Kiske reminds me of Vegeta at times. Although, he's a much friendlier guy and doesn't try to 1up Sol at every turn, which is nice lol
I always compare Sol & Ky to Naruto & Sasuke but inverted, so like Sol is similar to Sasuke in that he does the right thing but is kind of an edgy rogue & Ky is similar to Naruto in that he’s more straight laced & the upfront leader of the people

ironically them ending bars was exactly what happy chaos wanted. he fears when humanity reaches a point that we no longer have struggles, and cause of that lose our desires. that's why he feels like he needs to cause so sort of chaos, so that people continue to strive for something.

That was one of my favorite scenes

I like that I-no in her last moments realized that, as an all powerful god, she realized that her perfect world was already there. And instead of clinging to her image of what she thought would be the perfect world, she granted Axl his one wish. And at last by doing so, she managed to truly create the perfect world for the person she cared most about. After all, the greatest power is to put your ego aside and grant someone else you care for a wish. So in the nigh of her collapse, she was at last a good person.

Sol and Axl being happy at the end filled my heart with warmth and childlike joy.
But are Axl or Sol really happy. The cersions of the women they love arent really their. I meam its a similar body but Aria is still in there and is never ckming out and Megumi is pretty dead, the version nrought forward has none of the life lessons.
@@solstratus8444 Sol's moved on and accepted Aria wished to remain dead, while having a new love interest approved by Aria in Jack-O. Megumi is alive and in the present with Axl because of I-no not being a total monster. That's as close to a perfect ending as can be achieved. I mean, it won't stay that way, but the point was that it can't and we need to enjoy what we have while we do have it.

Interesting how the story went from science fiction high fantasy to somewhat a political thriller urban fantasy in Strive.
Theory: Axl and I-No can only exist in one timeline as specific versions of themselves. It seems in line with the whole "your not supposed to see yourself in another timeline". If Axl brought Megumi (who is also I-No) to the present time, that means that only one (Megumi or I-No) can exist at any given time so thats why Megumi wouldnt be able to stay in the future timeline for too long, because I-No knows what timeline she needs to be in and she isnt likely to let Axl have a lifetime of peace in a timeline that is crucial to her goal(I assume I-No would be sent to the backyard or in another timeline where she isnt already present as some other version of herself)
This story makes almost not enough sense, is full of plot holes and wtf moments for drama
And I absolutely love it for that, it seems Netherrealm finally has a competitor

axls story line is one of my faveorites cause hes just a guy who lost everything but refuses to use his new powers to go back because it would bring harm to all the new people hes met
hes always on the sidelines helping inocent people and enjoying simple things but is haunted by memories of parallel worlds and the trauma that came with his new powers
not only that him and ino is the best and saddest thing ever snd im so happy for him that he got his happy ending even tho he lost ino in the process

I swear half of this story mode is just a horror movie in disguise. That opening and those Happy Chaos scenes are _creepy._
To be fair, the Gear Wars were a horror show and a half and are part of the reason why most of the cast prefer to hold back a lot because they'd prefer not to check what the upper limits of their capabilities are.
I don't care what anyone else says, "Ky Kiske throws hands with God" was a crowning moment of glory for me.

Great video, i've already watched all three of them after I finished the Strive movie/story thing. I needed more information, so thanks.
Strive really does feel like the grand finale, for Sol Badguy's story and character arc. And it's somewhat surprising it's a happy ending despite the bleaker and more grayer tone for this installement.
To further drive the parallels of ASW's other flagship fighting series, Blazblue. Sol Badguy has a happier ending than Ragna the Bloodedge.
Now just wait for happy chaos to return as a huge frog with lasers for eyes, I just know it
So lemme get this straight so Sol gets nerfed to human but he can be inside the backyard fire that infinity canon after getting blasted back into a tree after that one fling of a gun flame or something like that. *but* he’s the best character in the game still bruh moment

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this video ever since Strive came out, thanks so much for taking the time to parse it into a form that normal humans can understand (as much as that’s possible). I’m just kinda bummed since I’m a Sol main, and for all intents and purposes, he apparently no longer exists.
Also this seems like a very definitive “end of this chapter” type of story, so I’m really curious as to where things are gonna go from here...

After having watched like 3 or 4 recaps of the guilty gear story, this was the most close-up view I’ve seen it from. Most of the vids just gloss over the personal matters and plots, so seeing Jack-O’s acceptance of herself and I-No’s redemption at the end was rly touching
It is suggested that I-no didn't really "die" but just ceased existense in this timeline in her and Happy Chaos' Arcade Mode. Although Strive's arcade mode story isn't complete canon, I consider it similar to X2's story mode where differen't story path's ending all suggests what actually happened. Ino and happy chaos were both thrown into a time paradox where ther exists an pass version of I-no, who doesn't call herself I-no. The story is pretty vague and we don't really know where I-No actually ends up, but Chaos revealed major lore about the nature of Yōkai, which is the same as I-No and Axl being a bug that the backyard created.

So when Sol goes "it's more like 0% possible and infinity beats 0" the reason he goes 0 instead of anything else is cuz of the polar contrast of his original point. It's not 100 the fact they couldn't win it was the 0 they could win, but in saying infinity beats 0 it's more a "I beat those odds".

hate to bring sad news, happy chaos arcade mode pretty much confirms multiverse i-no, happy chaos states that he knows how to travel between timelanes, explains that demi-humans are "glitches of the world conected to the backyard" and explains how he can take advantage of that to travel between timelines and if he wants he can just leave the current timelane to the main one, only that it would be absurdly dificult without her help, i-no then responds that she just doesnt want to leave "just yet" because she has the world she wanted already(with axl and megumi together, because she is megumi only that she forgot with all time warping sheenanigans and half of herself being extracted) and just walks away leaving happy chaos alone, happy chaos is aware that he is not in the main timelane so he calls that world "fake" or "made up", later he states that he can hear voices screaming "save us!" and says "maybe in the next timelane i will be the protagonist" just before fighting nagoriyuki who just so happen to be a demi-human :D just like how in the main timelane he had nagoriyuki at his full control with the excuse of "he is the key to my weakness" all of this implies that the weakness of happy chaos is being stranded on a single timelane and that he keeps nagoriyuki around has his personal timeline uber, the plot is getting more thiccker than i-no

Thanks for making this vid, i pretty much understood everything about the Guilty Gear story but i was always confused how the fuck The Original went from the founder of magic to Happy Chaos
I always loved GG bacause of the music and the character designs. I never fully understood the lore and barely knew some of the story (I have only played Accent Core and Izuka).
I just learnt it is almost as complex and batsh*t crazy as KINGDOM HEARTS lol. I mean there is a lot of people (and stuff) inside other people, entity after entity pulling the strings and whatnot.
Of course Ky would finally get Dragon Install and achieve nothing with it (thanks, Ishiwatari, we know your favorite is always Sol).

I binged this series and I think you do a great job for choosing when to show gameplay and music. Your delivery is also hilarious with the just go with it and stuff you killed it.
Would you consider doing a deeper dive on individual characters throughout the series like their non-cannon arcade endings and how they fit into the series? Learning more about characters like Milia, Faust, and Potemkin would be cool I think
I was coming back here to understand the lore summary since I kinda suck at finishing the series' stories since Xrd due to lack of gameplay (really dumb of me honestly), and I can't believe how beautiful it all is, in its own way. And that quote at the end you gave for the lesson to be learnt genuinely made me laugh a little and put a smile on my face hearing it from how pretty it sounded. Overall, wonderful video, nothing more, just straight up enjoyment
