To convert your bitmap files to vraybitmap quickly all you need to do is right click on your scene>V-Ray Bitmap to VrayBitmap texmap converter. Comes with Vray built in.
Thanks Keith, so we could drag and drop images into the mat editor and then convert. Should be quicker. Cheers.
@jakedenham Maybe you know this by now. But you can actually (almost) drag and drop your texture to VraybBitmap like with regular Bitmap.
-When you opened a VrayBitmap node, just drag your texture from file explorer to the "import address field" at the top of the material parameter editor and it will work fine.
Not 100% as easy as just dragging it to the material editor background, but better then importing it like you do in the video. =)
thanks
but why it isnt available in vray 5?
It is it is a map
how to use this in compact Material ?
after a couple of years I just cannot get the funcitonality of uvw randomizer and triplanar.. let me get this straight. can you combiened both nodes together? becuase I seen people plugin triplaner with randomizer.? dont they canceled each other out. great video?
Stochastic tiling is awesome! Thanks for this vid :-)
It really is!
Thanks a lot. I looking for this for so long but found in only sketchup vray. Thank you it help a lot.
Great to hear it helped! What are you working on?
@@jakedenham Concrete plastering. Its repetitive pattern is really ugly from a distance so I was looking for someway to randomize.
@@htetthurazaw4007 Nice, Stochastic tiling is perfect for that!
Thank you for the short tutorial. It works fine. The only weird thing is that whenever i click Stochastic, It updates in render but not im my working viewport.
yep same this side. I don't think it is visable in viewport.
@@jakedenham Damn. So weird. It's a bit of a problem for those that don't know. I was one of those. I expected to see results in my viewport but noting happend.
That was helpful, thanks a lot.
no problem, I am happy you found it helpful :)
That was helpful 👏
Great! I am happy to hear it :)
Is there a way to use this for multi-sub object maps? Having multiple maps randomly combined? I am thinking the windows of a skyscraper at night. Several different interiors and some without lights on, so black.
Clear and to the point, i like it
