This sniper is persistent as hell. You go all the way down to Tumbleweed and he’s still shooting
It's crazy how they have designated audio files for Arthur even when we're not supposed to complete this side quest with him
Initially you supposed to go there, only the town of Blackwater was forbidden, then before release they cut that part.
I'm not sure what YCR is referring to, maybe it's my same question. Is there special camera settings you have to set? My camera angle doesn't stay on the other side of the wagon as soon as I jump out.

As of November 27th, 2020, this still works.
This was exceptionally difficult for me to do, as this is my first shot at actually collecting the dinosaur bones. This means my journey mostly consisted of panicked glances at online maps inbetween pause screens and, unfortunately, the loss of one of my wagon horses who I named Bubba. He escaped when I accidentally crashed into a rock - sorry, Bubba, I hope you live a good life in the west. Eventually, after knocking out about half the bones i needed to get, i died. However, it was a technical difficulty and not the glitch itself failing. Going to attempt it again after having actual fun with normal gameplay, because Rockstar made sure the only glitch they don't fix is about as fun to do as watching paint dry.

I'm glad this still works, but just watching this video makes my head hurt, I don't even know that I want to go through this much trouble just to finish this part with Arthur.

Rockstar restricts us way too much in this game
Did you ever play GTA 3? The map was made of 3 islands, you couldn't swim, bridges were blown up/inoperative, you couldn't fly... you were truly stuck, forced to complete story missions in order to access the entire map. Hell, the character couldn't even talk, let alone make his own decisions. RDR2 is a freedom lover's paradise compared to that game.
This game had more freedom than any other rockstar game before, the one major restriction is there for story relevant reasons and its eventually lifted so idk wtf you’re going on about

Apparently, I enter new Austin and get snipped by God above, strange stuff.
Skiddadle Skidoodle or wrong wagon or camera follow option is not disabled, or you just got unlucky and Arthur’s head appeared in the frame.

Still works on my 4th Dino bone as Arthur takes Lots of patience but it still works can’t wait to get them all as Arthur 😃😃

Rebecca21 that’s because you need to dodge the sniper. You need to adjust the camera in a way that he shoots the tent during all the way. It’s difficult but possible.
Dmitry Shepel whenever I do that and keeps driving it just resets to normal. 😩 (Sorry if I sound stupid btw i haven’t played this game for very long)
Rebecca21 yes it will be “resetting to normal” and your goal is to not let it happened. Even on my videos you can se that I’m adjusting a camera every 10 sec or something.

Just attempted it 4-1-22 but I died as i got to Hennigans Stead. Does anybody know why you constantly get shot at as soon as you enter New Austin? That's what killed me, one shot.
@@charliejamz. there is an “invisible sniper” that shoots at you consistently as though the bullet were coming from the camera. You need to use the wagon or buggy as cover for Arthur, the shooting never stops. I completed herbalist 9 in chapter 3 using the buggy in 3 attempts. Now I’m at the very end of chapter 4 and going for the dinosaur bones. I am wondering if the Pinkertons get more powerful as each chapter progresses, because I was able to easily blow past beechers hope and into sniper territory ( where the Pinkertons aren’t as prevalent) on my first 3 attempts, but for the dinosaur bones I’ve died at beechers hope each time. They whittle Arthur’s health down really fast and seem to be attacking the horse specifically, which wasn’t my experience during the herbalist. I wonder if this would have been easier in chapter 3. I’ll keep trying though.

thanks to you i finally got the dinosaur bones, what a grind!! First try apparently I rammed into a rock so hard that the wagon starting flying and i got sniped midair but third try i got it all done. Ty!

My friend, you make it look easy when it is anything but. Trying to control the camera and drive when you can't look around , plus keeping it from bouncing up with the terrain. Even your crossing into Blackwater water is easier. The Pinkertons didn't start shooting you until you were through the first ranch entrance. With me, they start shooting halfway between the river and the entrance and they do not let up. I am driving faster than you and I can't get away from them. I am curious, are you playing on ps4?

David Portillo it will count but you will not be able to sell the pelt. You just need to sleep after you’ve killed the animal.
Works in Jan 2021. But I had trouble. As soon as I stopped to get the bone and got off I was shot down.

I have only one video about the legendary cougar, another about the pronghorn and the bison you can find on Unlockable Eden Gaming channel. But I want to warn you, cause NA legendary animals are too much harder than bones and plants. It could take days for doing it and still no guarantee.

@@Omar-zg7zo yes you can, but if you just killed it and not skin it you’ll need to sleep after it even if you were killed by the sniper. Just watch my video about the cougar

You still need to adjust a camera a bit every few seconds to make sure the head will not appear in the frame. Go slow, take you time.

Hi! You’ll be killed unless you’re traveling by a buggy from Saint Denis, but there’s still a big chance to get killed. Still, a buggy is the only way to use aiming and dead eyes while riding in New Austin. I have a video about legendary cougar and how I killed it with Arthur.

you can hunt legendary animals with a tent covered wagon but you cant aim nor go in first person. its better to just use a buggy. with a buggy you'll be able to aim and use dead eye without an issue. you can even use first person but you cannot move the camera too far from the original position
When you find all the bones, do you have to escape the area too? Or can you die to leave?
You can die. Just be sure that the bones are collected

Dora you mean New Austin law? If so, you need to completely loose wanted level while you’re still in West Elizabeth like on the video. In that case there will be no lawmen in New Austin. Otherwise you can travel by railroad and try to avoid them, so they won’t spot you, but that’s much more difficult. Please pay attention to the details in this video, cause I wrote about it in the video. Starting from 2:00

I escape from law before "Thieves landing", near to the bridge (as in the video), but as soon as I go on, without the "Wanted", they shown up again very soon. This is why i don't understand what i do wrong:(
Dora ah that’s weird. Mb you need to loose it a little bit earlier. Idk, I tried to do this many times and it worked, but once I had the same problem, I thought mb it’s because I was too close to the border and the Pinkertons simply spoted me.

Nicolas Pratt the best way to fish legendary fish is to mark them with this method and than fish them during the Bronte’s glitch. Check Eden Gaming channel. He shows exactly how to do it, but there’s still a problem with legendary fish in Tall trees. Tbh it’s not worth it cause animals gives you trinkets, plants will give you the LotE outfit and fish gives you nothing. You won’t be able to finish the fish quest as Arthur anyway instead of the bones quest, so I would leave it for John.
Dobry den, @@dman1988 I have read that the Bronde glitch has been patched unless someone has a physical copy of the game. Is there any other way to do this glitch?
I might try the wagon way. Although I think I will be very anxious to do it since all them Pinkertons will be hunting me...

Bronte glitch is still working but only during the mission.
@@dman1988 you mean while I am playing the mission and not the "old" way (replaying the mission standing at the boundaries between west Elizabeth and Blackwater)??
Nicolas Pratt no, only during the walkthrough, not replay. You can spook the law on cemetery and escape with John, and instead of returning to Bronte’s manor you can go to New Austin to collect all the items. You can hunt normal animals except Black snake and fish the legendaries if you marked them before with the wagon method. No legendary animals, plants and bones tho.

Johana Delgado my settings are in other language. Just disable camera follow option and try to practice on normal plants before going to New Austin.
the monto's rest is abandoned in my game and the wagon isnt there, is there another way to go there? i tried a buggy but it blows up by those lawmen before i even get to great plains
Raul you can try to search in Strawberry. 8-40 AM or something it spawns there. Just make a save a little bit before.

Raul you can be shot through the wooden part. Adjust the camera so the sniper shots in the tent.

I'm having trouble with the camera angle, how do i fix it or make it to not follow the way everytime i go fast?
sld Sapnu puas camera follow option needs to be disabled but still it will follow you just not that intensive so you need to adjust it every time with the stick.

You don’t. There’s a way to fish legendaries using wagon or buggy to spot them and than fish them during Bronte mission glitch in chapter 4. I recommend to check Unlockable Eden Gaming channel for that. Otherwise just leave it for John.

They spawned cause there was a lawman who saw you. Try to loose all the Wanted level while breaking through Blackwater, like on the video, in that case there will be no lawmen in New Austin.

If you still have lawmen in New Austin it means that you didn’t loose all the wanted level while escaping from Pinkertons near Blackwater. Try to do exactly like on the video.

I just did this yesterday. Go to strawberry and sleep in hotel till morning. Then I waited till 830 and saved the game. The wagon comes down the hill from the SW road about 840. Steal it and drive away. If I got killed crossing to new austin, I just reloaded that save and ran to that road, it spawns nearby at 840 every time I tried.

I've already finished the Appleseed timber quest,
And I tried another entirely different white tent wagon
But I still keep getting sniped even with the correct camera settings and angling the tent over Arthur's head. I need help I really need that lite outfit for Arthur
Ikeoluwa Kayode you can get an Appleseed wagon in Strawberry. Make a save at 8-30 AM and it spawns there about 8-40. Also it spawns randomly near Strawberry and in/near Valentine. Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to get all the plants with another wagon, Appleseed Timber only.

Тб Тб теперь только во время миссии. Животные и предметы доступны, травы нет. Можно даже достопримечательности в дневник заносить и в магазинах покупать костюмы, хотя это и через соц клуб можно сделать. Можно ловить легендарную рыбу, если отметил ее на карте до этого, но легендарные животные и кости нет.

Tyroneosaurs Rex if it points on you when you dismount it could be only two reasons or wrong wagon or camera follow option is not disabled.

No Name ну он будет стрелять, но не факт что тебя убьёт, хотя пока ты туда заходишь может и успеть. Лично я заходил в конюшню Тамблвида, он там тебя не убивает.
No Name заезжаешь снизу, чуть левее и ниже чем я был на карте, когда показывал 7-ю кость. Там просвет виден даже среди скал. Главное аккуратно и не спешить.

What an annoying glitch to have someone constantly shooting at you on the wagon. There's a much better glitch out there you're free to ride your horse everywhere except black water and no one will be shooting at you.

It’s pathetic on rockstars part that we have to go through shit like this just have access to basic items in the game
The whole point is that you're NOT SUPPOSED to go there. They could have made it more like the GTA games where you have most of the map restricted and unlock a little at a time as you progress through the story. Rather than showing how pathetic R* is, I think it shows how desperate we as gamers are to circumvent the story line!
Wtf are you talking about you just have to finish the story and you get access to that part of the map this video is complicated because its detailing an UNINTENDED EXPLOIT. You’re not allowed to go there as Arthur for story reason but once hes dead you can freely explore that area as john and get these “basic items” without having to avoid bounty hunters

@@themadtitan7603 New Austin isn’t inaccessible “for some reason” its because the entire state between Arthur and New Austin is on lockdown with is face plastered all over town. The comment i responded to was acting like not being able to access this part of the map as Arthur was an oversight by the developers but its literally an intended mechanic of the game and the story so its ridiculous that op would be upset that he has to do complicated glitches to get around the intended path the developers made
@@nickb1241 Except New Austin is lawless besides a few sheriffs and whatnot. That is why Ross sent John Marston to hunt for Bill in RDR1, because New Austin was death row for lawmen like Ross. So it makes ZERO sense, why if you manage to enter New Austin, therr is a Sniper sniping you 24/7. It makes ZERO sense.

Just a tip so people can understand the principle of the trick: YOU are the sniper. So, if you can see Arthur, so does the sniper. You have to perform all tasks without seeing Arthur, just by looking at the interaction menus (PICK, SKIN, etc).
And YES, this is INSANELY DIFFICULT!
The sniper only becomes active in New Austin. Until there you better gulp down several gallons of Special or Potent Health Cure because the Pinkertons will shoot you like a machinegun. The Health Tonics are useless against the sniper.
Did you need to disable any camera setting for this to work? I can do it with a buggy from Saint Denis, but if you make one misstep, you're travelling all the way back across the map. When I try to use the covered wagon, the camera clips through and the sniper gets me.

1. First of all, have in mind YOU are the sniper trying to get a headshot on Arthur. So if you can see his head, so can the sniper.
2. I have used the buggy. The best location to steal one is at the exit of Saint Denis that has an image of the Catholic Saint Denis holding his own decapitated head (the one you arrive at when you fast travel to Saint Denis). By doing so you can rapidly leave town and avoid the law.
3. About the camera settings, I've set everything to OFF, the POV bar to MAXIMUM and the ZOOM level to the one you see the buggy from the farthest distance (it only needs to be that way when you enter the "sniper zone").
4. You REALLY will want to:
a. Pay any bounties you might have on you.
b. Buy or craft like gallons of Potent Health Cure or Special Health Cure BEFORE starting this (that's for the Pinkertons, the health tonics are useless against the sniper).
5. Remember to make a manual save point just after collecting/harvesting anything.
6. Keep in mind this is a GLITCH, so everything can and probably will go wrong even if you do everything right. Like, for instance, as soon as I entered the "sniper zone", MY HORSE was killed by the sniper. Arthur died right after that.
7. If you're using the covered wagon, some folk say the ones from Appleseed Timber Co. are the best choice. But keep in mind, when you get off the wagon, it's the canvas cover that will protect Arthur from the shots, not the wooden surfaces on the sides.
BTW, I could do it on August, 2022. And I'm no longer a, let's say, young guy.😂🤣
EDIT: Even using the buggy, you will always need to be careful about the camera angle. The camera will always try to "correct" it's angle from time to time, mainly when you cross the line between two regions. This happened to me even using the buggy and the sniper got Arthur though the rear window.

I've done this with the herbs and have written a guide on getting the herbs and horseman 9 and 10 as Arthur so I've frequented that particular part of Saint Denis a lot.
I'll give it a try with the covered wagon.
I'm also wondering if I could pull off hunting the legendary animals with the milk truck from Strawberry. It's so big, you don't have to mess with the camera angle, but once you get down, there's no way to prevent the camera from clipping through so it could only be used for the hunting of those animals.
I'm no spring chicken either so I figure if I can do this, just about anyone else can as well.

As of August 10th 2021 this exploit still works. Only there are way more Lawmen in West Elizabeth. But still works.
The hardest thing about this is just learning how to keep the camera angle right
Other than that it's pretty easy since inspecting the bones doesn't make the camera go through the wagon and show arthur's head

It can take some getting used to but it’s worth it for that sweet sweet legend of the east outfit, and the jawbone knife early if you want it. The wagon always shows up at 9am in strawberry or if your impatient you can run down the road and meet it at owanjila lake at 8am. 🎉

Three out of the remaining six plants done. The only issue is that when I get off the wagon there’s like a 50/50 chance that somehow the sniper shoots through the wagon itself and kills me. It takes forever to get there each time lol.
Ethan Santos he can shoot you through the wooden part of the wagon. Try to make him shoot more into the tent.

to avoid the law easier i usually get a lawman to follow me from strawberry into west elizabeth and lose them at the border of new austin (they wont follow you past there) and i’ve had no problem with bounty hunters or pinkertons. you can also lose them sooner, and with this i’ve been able to travel across west elizabeth/new austin with no law following me, only a couple bounty hunters in west elizabeth which are easily lost.

You mean Otis Miller’s revolver? Unfortunately no, but you can use Bronte glitch in chapter 4. It works only during the mission and in first attempt not replay, so make a save before.

You need to dodge all the time in a way that Arthur’s head never appears in the frame. Also turn off the camera follow option.

I'm keeping my game on vanilla for this play through. wanted to get all the legendary animals and fish using the Bronte glitch. the sniper shoots me like a machine gun. just have to turn the volume down or go crazy lol. I have herbalist 10 complete. almost have all the bones 😀

@@markg0912 I find the best wagon is the one with 4 support poles to hold the canvas up. If I try using the appleseed one that has 5 support poles, I will get instakilled the moment I cross the river. The one with three poles is just garbage because you sit too exposed way out front

Yes, i tryna get the bones using the buggy, and I also want to get the del lobo hats, and it was a pain in the ass, I have to drive all the way from st. Dennis to New Austin, and I usually fucked up on the way which sucks really bad, and clearing the hideouts is another pain, so I gave up the hats and focus on the bones. But I still fucked up many times and I gave up using the buggy. After the 90 challenges, imma use this method, I need the knife.

@@HWG-jp3rp you must to disable camera follow option. That's all. You need to have camera positioned like on the videos in 3rd person most far possible. And try to practice before going to New Austin. You need to pick plants in a way that the wagon will cover you. Also try to adjust the camera so sniper shoots in the tent and less in wooden part, cause he can kill you even through it.

Before I even encounter the sniper problem, the Pinktertons come in droves. I have the legendary satchel and go through about 40 tonics and they still kill me! So my question is, how come you are not even being followed by the Pinkertons?
edit: I can't seem to get through blackwater without being killed!
Atway Akec try to do it faster and the same way as I did. Cross the river as fast as you can, cause it starts while you still crossing it. Pinkertons need to spawn or behind or aside you, not in front.

@Marty M0 literally the same. It's just if you've finished questline in the woods it won't spawn the wagon anymore, but you can get a baggy in Saint Denis. In that case it will be even more time consuming unfortunately.
Is there a way to perfectly get away from the lawmen in Blackwater in time so they don't spawn in new Austin everytime, because I've been doing this for HOURS and only gotten 4 of the bones and it's solely because the lawmen in Blackwater?😖
If I take too long to get away from the first group that shows up, I can't get away because they have the speed of flash. If I get a way too fast, more spawn and it screws me.
Giorno Giovanna mb they just spawn too late, they need to spawn as soon as you enter Beechers Hope, so you’ll have time to escape and loose wanted level until you reach the bridge to New Austin. If they don’t spawn try to slow down a bit so you can wait for them, and then go as fast as you can. It’s a pretty random thing unfortunately.
@@dman1988 yeah the first group I encounter when I go there shows up like 6 or 7 seconds after I get there, so I get a little ways in before they show up. I wish you could put horses on wagons manually that way I could put mine in there, the horses on that wagon are so slow😔

You need a particular wagon from Appleseed Timber Company and the camera follow option needs to be disabled. Watch another my videos and read the comments. You’ll know more.

@@alexandermaiwald666 you can find that wagon in Strawberry at 8-40 AM or 10 AM it spawns randomly just make a save before it. And try to practice before going to New Austin, pick some plants, learn how to ride it better etc.
