This series is a phenomenal display of visual effects prowess, subtle storytelling, and even musical composition. Kane is a goddamn wizard and I'm so excited to see what he does next, be it more backrooms or something else. He absolutely deserves the attention and the success that he's gotten.
the whole uneasy feeling of the backrooms is based of how most people react to liminal spaces, funny enough "liminal space" is also che name of the place where we fight Alexander in TEA so in a way Alexander is also part of the backrooms. also monkaS
@@SoSakashii basically it's a form of liminal space where Omega is the spaces creepy monster who is effectively a god in the space it's not called liminal space but it is a form of liminal space is what I meant lol
Yeah this is scary and all, but also, imagine the euphoria of sprinting down those straight hallways just for the sake of it. Like running down a super long, carpeted hotel hallway. I wanna do that, minus the terror of being chased by Doodlebob with no way out.
This reminds me of that free Playstation game a while back called The Witness. You're on this island alone solving puzzles, and you come across a room with this crazy ass old video with the same vibes as this. Actually a great game.
It’s crazy what you can do with even just one howler without even introducing any of the other crazy entities and shit people came up with to stalk the backrooms
He's right, the sound on that first one is wild. These are so cool and creepy and I think as much as I want to I just can't watch them which is a bummer cause I really dig it but aaaaahh
That's so weird -- right before you said "this reminds me of Cube," I was thinking the exact same thing. I guess it was because of the ladder up to the crawlspace into another room or something.
Ah yes, The Deep Dungeon experience. On the real, I wonder if we ever get a good movie adaptation of House of Leaves, at least the part that has to do with the labyrinth, its such a cool idea for spooky found footage flick... The rest of the book is too bespoke for the purpose of it being an actual book.
If there were ever an adaptation to House of Leaves, I feel like it would be butchered like World War Z, where they just pick a completely different story to tell for whatever reason.
That's kane in the intro looking at the camera. Edit: a liminal space is 'a space between spaces' for example a door frame: but on a horrible chance (there's still 1 in a trillion chance! You could be that one) that even walking through your front door; it's now 1000km long walking through said door
Isnt the guy who set off the alarms part of the same team who r seeing him in the security cam at the end of second to last vid? Or completely separate group of people?
lol i wish this stuff scared me but i dont get it it is just an empty office building if you like this kind of vibe you should check out beyond the black rainbow
I believe the backrooms and facility “sets” are arranged + animated in a 3D animation software like Blender. It’s phenomenal work especially considering how realistic it looks
@@dedtective I mean like that first set of the yellow corridors. Its like a 70s/80s/90s department store or office building. My initial thought us that they found a location to film but i cant believe that they just found a place that was already arranged like that. The layout is so crazy but at the same time it doesnt look like CGI. Did they have it set up like that? If so is it very simple? How long would it take, how much would it cost? Honestly for being amature "found footage" this is what i found to be the most unsettling part.

We can add sound design to the list. A lot Kayne’s work has amazing sound effects.
I agree. He is amazing!
And to think he was only 16 when he made this

this awoke the feral hamster in your brain didn’t it
Kane Pixels is so good, he and his team deservers all the recognition and attention, doing some really fine art.
There is basically no team. He is mostly doing it by himself apart from the actors he started hiring for some scenes now.
I agree, he is awesome!
Man this part of stream was so funny just chilling with everyone in chat, while also clenching your asscheeks in anticipation for a jump scare

I ended up watching this whole thing and I love the concepts being played with here but I'm also quite spooked out~~
Had a lot of fun watching this. 096 SCP short film and SCP dollhouse are other good videos in a similar vein.
Imagine dreaming that shit, knowing that it’s a dream but being unable to wake up. Fuck me I’d literally wake up dead.
This guy did phenomenal Attack on Titan animations too, real artist
I miss when strummer reacted to this :( thanks mr editor for putting this together

SAME THAT'S SO WEIRD
This backrooms stuff makes me think of the SCP Universe.
I was gunna have a little watch... Looks like I watched the whole thing XD
That was real good, I'd only ever seen the first one
What FFXIV raid is this? Is the gear good?
What i like about backrooms its dosnt require to see much of the monsters, more goes on based feeling uneasiness and fear unknown
Whoever decided on the sound design for the Backrooms monsters is a fucking horror genius. It's so disturbing.
29:56 graduated in 2005 lol Im right there with ya Xeems.

1 researcher missing on the way back in Motion Detected, fucking hell rip my guy.
It reminds me of cube movie too, also of this new game Lethal Company
Crazy to think that there is a job opening somewhere back there
Yo, these backrooms should be deep dungeon content. lol
Cube was a really neat movie
pretty cool to see kratos reacting to the backrooms
I fuckin' love this series, and I've never clicked on a video faster
Bald in the backrooms
24:45 imagine if they all started screaming and running from him as if he was the monster, so hes chasin them around like wait for me wtf
Never clicked on a vid so fast

Reminds me of the game Control
category final fantasy xiv online
Ye annoying, stopped watching after he kept talking about it even when researchers were literally IN
god damn house of leaves vibe
Damn, you graduated the year I was born... That was 20 years ago
You know how you know it's fake? That guy running for his LIFE from the stick figure? He'd have dropped that camera a LONG time ago...
The drill reminds me of the dentist office who filed in cavity my god that hurts
Kinda reminds me of Marble Hornets or something of that ilk.
Yeah its very similar to marble hornets in a way
30:47 jjk reference???
This Reminded me so much of Control (The Game)
Or lethal company
Chick at the end glitched through unreality and ended up in the frontrooms RIP.

i think its the same dude. i guess he somehow traveled through time when he walked into that small space.
Is nobody going to mention how potd is literally the backrooms in FFXIV?
lol i wish this stuff scared me but i dont get it it is just an empty office building

no other world and no other truth
no other aim and no other path
no other will and no other fall
no other mind, no other heart
Everyone by into this space, but let's not talk about the creature in here.
Aww hell yeah. Xeno once again providing premium FFXIV content. :'D
How did they make the sets????
Also TFW you fall out onto Skin Walker Ranch.

Wendigoon interviewed the guy who made the backrooms series. It's an interesting listen and I highly recommend it.

woah...im older and younger looking than Xeno lol
nope nope nope nope nope nope

I was scared until the shit show up , if only it didn't look so scuffed , that totally ruined the immersion for the whole video for me x_x.
