Welcome aboard Happy Travelers! In this series we are sailing on a seven night Western Caribbean sailing on the MSC Seashore! We will be departing Miami, Florida and visiting Ocho Rios Jamaica, Georgetown Grand Cayman, Cozumel Mexico, and Ocean Cay ( MSC’s Private Island). This is our first time sailing on an MSC vessel and Seashore is one of MSC’s newest and largest ships! We are excited and curious to see what MSC is all about!
Today we would like to give you a full tour of MSC’s private island Ocean Cay! While this is not the largest or most action packed private island, it is arguably the most beautiful! We show you all of the main thoroughfares, gift shops, food locations, available beaches, excursion areas, and the iconic lighthouse! We hope this gives you an idea of what Ocean Cay has to offer and helps you prepare for your visit!

Great tour! I've been to that island several times since it opened. My wife and I are Diamond with MSC and have been cruising with them exclusively since 2016 in the Yacht Club. The YC experience is fantastic.

Like Ocean cay better than coco cay because Ocean cay feels more natural. Coco cay feels like a water park at Disney or Universal

There should be a food truck that sell lobster roll, $12 and fried calamari $8 which is a good price from where I live. Can't wait to try it out.

The Lighthouse Tour looks like it’s $9 if you prebook before the cruise.
I really enjoyed it there it's very nice but I was concerned about seeing a shark right next to the ship from my balcony (I have it on a short video).

I watched a few videos of the island being rehabbed and turned into Ocean Cay. It used to be an Island that was being Sand mined. Those colorful buildings is where the staff live. Yes the staff live on the island.

Hi Ernst! You can get cups of water and other drinks on the island at various bars and eateries! I’m not sure how many miles was walked while touring but with the lack of shade it was really hot! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🛳

We are going here (also our first cruise ever!) in July 2023. Can’t figure out if there is an excursion to see the Bahamas pigs I think are in Bimini. Do you know anything about that?

I’m thinking about an MSC cruise however you you have any clue if they have white claws or hard seltzers there that it would be part of their alcohol package?

Hey guys, this MSC stop sure looks pretty "barren" compared to NCL's Harvest Cay in Belize, which has tons of free umbrellas, upgraded loungers, tons of shade from lots of Palm trees, giant swimming pool with swim up bar, incredible zipline and more!
Hi Clarence! It is a very "hot" island! Unfortunately this island had a hurricane come through and cause a lot of damage to the trees, so there is not a lot of natural shade. Definitely be prepared with hats and staying hydrated if you visit! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢

Can we bring our own snorkeling gear and use it on the island?
Hi Outdoorsy Wanna be! Yes! You can bring your own snorkel gear! All the beaches are included except for the Ocean House Beach which is for Yacht Club Members and the Paradise Sands Beach which is for people who booked an on island spa treatment. I'm not sure about the lounge chairs but all the ones we saw were included. Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
Hi, my name is Eliana, I am looking to become a travel vlogger and this video was such a great example of what I would like to do. First question, what kind of camera or phone are you recording this video with? Such a great quality video, clear and vibrant visuals and amazing audio and makes me feel like I'm there in person. Second, do you have any tips or recommendations on equipment, ideas, travel website, travel on a budget places to go, etc? I would appreciate all the help I could get. Wife and twin mom of 3-year-old girls here so would love to travel with my family and experience the world and make this a living if possible. Thank you and have a great day! 😄
We are actually going to Ocean Cay in Sept of this year and I wanted to start featuring videos of our experience with MSC Seaside on my vlog so if you have any tips or recommendations on video/ picture editing and what apps or platforms to use to edit those videos I would love that.
Hi Eliana! That's great! So for this video we use our iPhone 14 pro for filming. We also use the DJI Osmo 3 gimbal for the phone when filming tours to make the footage more stable. For our daily vlogs we used to use our Sony ZV1, which is a great vlogging camera and does really well with preventing wind noise. But we have started using our iPhones for vlogs more often now, just because it's more convenient. The iPhone can sometimes pick up wind noise sometimes but we use the Rode Wireless Go 2 mics and they do really well, we use these on our tour videos as well! For editing software I use Adobe Premiere. I didn't start with Adobe because it was overwhelming to start with so I used iMovie for a while and then moved up to Adobe Premiere when I got the hang of editing in general. I hope this helps! So what is the "best" beach on this island?
Hi Zlatko! It really depends on what your looking for, we thought Lighthouse Bay was the best for snorkeling but Sunset Beach was the best for lounging and having a beautiful view! We hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
@@HoffmanHappyTravels I do not snorkel due to health-related issues. So, I am looking for the whitest sand, most turquoise, and clear water. It would help if there are some amenities, but the quality of the beach comes first. I'd appreciate if you list the top 2.
MSC needs to put more money into this desert looking island if they plan on being bigger than RC. This is NOTHING like Cococay. Not even close. They should be ashamed of themselves.
