Spring Day is a huge deal in the BTS canon. There's a lot of backstory and mythos surrounding it. Originally RM said he wrote it while thinking about missing a friend, but later it became associated with the terrible 2014 tragedy in which the SEWOL ferry sank killing 304 people many of whom were high school students. The MV for this song has been analysed by various reactors. I won't go into detail but I recommend looking it up. It is believed BTS were making reference to the events but couldn't do so openly as it would involve criticising the government of the time which would have hurt their careers.

The band is called Ghost Band and goes on tour with them. Spring Day is still on the charts after 5 years. The energy is amazing. I love how they can't help but get up and dance. J-Hope didn't last long before he had to start dancing (it was about 20 seconds), no suprise there. They were all wonderfull, they all went all in! Beautiful vocals all around.
The melodic rap/singing at 9:57 is so soothing imo. I always love when J-Hope and Jungkook harmonize together (happens a lot. They often sing in unison too but with Jhope singing an octave below Jungkook. Just like they did in the middle of Spring Day here. Beautiful).
-"Funking out"? GREAt reaction! And yeah, Bruno Mars definitly that vibe! And the MV is also full of MJ-reference with the moves.
I'm Fine is actually the follow up song to Save Me. I must say I am very impressed with you. Most people think Save Me is a love song, but you picked up on the meaning very quickly.
SPRING DAY INFORMATION CORRECTION:
I'm going to add this comment because I'm sure someone will misguide you in the comments (by accident).
You will hear that the song is a tribute to the Sewol ferry tragedy. This is only half-true. The lyrics itself were not written specificly to this. RM has said how the song is about missing someone, longing to see them again. It can be about your family, friends or a partner/ex etc.
The lyrics itself means a lot to many people. Myself included.
And now to the tragedy:
The music video for this song is FULL of symbols and reference to the sinking of the ferry where many people lost their lives. Many of whom were students. absolutely tragic! The goverment has been critized for hiding the truth about it (someone will explain it to you). But a clever way to adress this tragedy with respect to the survivors and next of kin was through images. It amazes me how they creativly used this platform to "speak up" and "never forget".
I cry every single time I've watched the music video after having seen an explanation and having research a lot about the tragedy.

I've watched this performance many times by now, and I never get tired of it. Starts off with perfect energy in Dynamite, but Save me and Spring day just does something to me emotionally. So beautiful songs. Thank you to the patreon who suggested this one. I was considering suggestion it aswell but I would have waited a bit more. But I'm really glad someone else didn't wait, because your reaction was great! And it didn't matter at all that you hadn't heard the songs before. There was subtitles so you got to understand the meanings right away. It's wonderful that you pay so much attention to the lyrics. thank you for this!
Spring Day is considered The Queen. It was released in February of 2017 and has never fallen off of the Korean charts. Every comeback that BTS makes, The Queen once again rises up the charts. It’s really amazing.
Spring day released back in 2017 it's about losing someone close to you /missing them as you said but the music video has some alludes to the sewol ferry tragedy in which more than 200 passengers mostly high school students passed away, the government tried to silence entertainers who spoke out against it. so bts didn't speak openly about what's the song is about until someone asked in an interview in 2020 I believe and even then they replied that "it's about a sad event". I recommend you to watch the mv and then watch the explanation video by an Italian army .
Fun fact: after nearly 5 years this song is still on Korean charts

Well... you're quite spot on saying there was a double meaning to spring day and in fact there are quite a few ways you can take this song... RM (the member who wrote the lyrics) gave a first explanation that it was about missing a friend but, later we discovered the circumstances and events the Spring Day mv is referring to are really sad and was quite political at that time, which is probably why they didn't not explicitly revealed that hidden message at first... you can check the explanation video by Italian Army, either on your channel or your own time because it can be a bit triggering

Tiny Desk “ home” is what NPR called it during the height of the pandemic because musicians couldn’t come into the NPR studio in person. They filmed this or did it live from Korea. This is from 2020 which is why RM says “it’s been the roughest summer ever” A recurring lyric in Spring Day is “I miss you” and during the time their 2020 Map of the Soul tour was cancelled so BTS and ARMY missed each other. 💜
I think they tried to convey the spirit of the "tiny desk concerts" by shooting this at an actual workplace (they added some of the BTS signs and albums but it's a real record shop in Seoul)
Many of my favourite songs are the ones on Soundcloud. Ddaeng (Rap line), Born Singer, Jungkook’s Still With You and his If You cover, RM’s Joke and Bicycle, to name just a few.

This song was written about that incident but can be interpreted for other losses. Spring Day mv is worth watching and even the documentary about the incident.

Dynamite is their 1st full English song & is also a Grammy nominated song... they have 3 fully Eng songs of their own & 1 in collab with Coldplay... & they have 2 GRAMMY nominated songs & total of 6 songs which have topped Billboard Hot 100 chart...Dynamite was 1 of them...
Spring Day is my top ever favourite song. I like everything this song and it is quite important especially in Korea.
I have watched this performance so many times I lost count but will never get tired of it. When I am down this video uplifts me and give me strength again.

Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions.
DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly.
Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much.
Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly.
And dont get me started on their clothes, i mean Jiminie OMG i was just speechless and on a side note every members english has improved so much im just in love with it, also i love it when they perform with a live band as it just gives off another kind of vibe and its the best when they perform with a live band.
Love this tiny desk concert! Love how J-Hope, Jimin, and then V and RM, just can’t help getting up and dancing. Music and Dance is in BTS’ blood and it shows in this concert. Dynamite is an interesting song to me, I heard it before I got into BTS, didn’t realize it was an actual song as I swear I heard it as part of Ads. I wasn’t in to it as I was in a full depression at the time and in general, I don’t care for pop music, more of a grunge/punk/metal/jazz/R&B/classical person. It wasn’t until I saw Agust D’s (SUGA in BTS) Daechwita MV and then his mixtape, RM’s mixtapes, and then the Cyphers that I found BTS and fell in love. Agust D, then BTS, saved me. When I came back to Dynamite after listening to so many fantastic BTS songs, though, and read about what it was - a gift from BTS, along with the Be album, to all of us suffering from the pandemic, I fell in love with it as well. It is a song intended to lift us up, to help us dance and feel joy again. It’s not deep lyrically, like most of their work, but it, along with PTD and Butter, do exactly what they meant it to do if one can open up and let it. Those 3 are on my regular playlist, in spite of them being in English and more pop-y than I would ordinarily listen to, because they make me smile and remember that, in a world that is dark and seems to be darker every day, there are still good people who care and who can make music that lifts your spirt. I appreciate BTS for this every day. Sorry for the essay, today is another tough day.

and Spring Day was released on 2017 and as far as I know, this song still charted on Korean Music Chart until now. It's about losing someone, and longing to meet again. It will be nice to see you watch the MV and explanation video (I recommend explanation by Italian ARMY and Bookish theories, they have different style and details), but it will be a bit hard to bear emotionally, you will need something to vent or something relaxing after knowing the meaning of Spring Day mv.

I hope you read my comment. Spring Day is a masterpiece and arguably the most meaningful songs ever. The song was released three years after the tragic Sewol Ferry incident. This song deserves a whole separate reaction to the MV, the meaning behind the lyrics, symbolism and artistry. I hope you will react and also understand how meaningful and deep BTS music and artistry is.
I believe Save Me was written for ARMY. Spring Day wasn't written for ARMY, it was written in 2014 we think in response to the Sewol Ferry accident, but they have used it more recently in response to the pandemic and about missing ARMY's.
You need to watch Spring Day MV It's the queen of all BTS songs. Since released it has remained in the Korean hit chart and would just goes up every Spring. This is the bravest BTS song and the most controversial one. Make sure to watch also the explanation of the MV from Bulletproof channel or Italian channel.

There’s another good explanation by bulletproof vibes, but the one by Italian Army really goes deep and explains the context really well. Of course it’s ok if you react to both explanations. I think you should look up the videos for these songs individually as well (no one will care if you react to videos of songs from a live performance...we love the content lol). Dynamite is just fun to watch, Save Me is a one take video (complete with a 'making of' video out there thats cool to watch) and Spring Day, with the explanation videos out there, will definitely hit you in the feels...love watching your reactions!

loving your reactions so far!! another documentary that you should check out is the ones by xceleste. she is really good. especially the hardships and this is BTS ARMY. Spring Day is considered the Queen of BTS songs. However, before you react to that song and watch any explanation videos, I would make sure that you are in a very good headspace. It can be hard to handle and I have heard where reactors did not make it through the entire explanation video.

You initial interpretation of Spring Day is not uncommon. Of course every song can mean something different to everyone so I'm not saying that you are wrong for you.
However once you understand the background of this song and the meaning of the music video which I hope you will watch you'll find that your initial interpretation is very superficial.
There are entire videos on the background of this song and the meaning of the video and the Korean ferry disaster which the video in particular is all about.
