I would love to see some of the upper smaller(?) rooms renovated. Why didn’t Nattie’s apartment never get finished. I can’t believe you can’t find other carpenters / electricians to finish it. It would have saved them from moving out to get their own place.:(

Natti and Amaury said they needed a bigger place off the property so they would go home at night. They don't even eat dinner with the guests much anymore. The small apartment wouldn't suit them. ❤ After the windows get updated on the backside of the Chateau, then Gerry's and the other apartment can be finished. Grand Salon, the two bedrooms in the 16th century wing and the bamboo room are being done first.

First, I am so glad and relieved that Percy is home! Hospitals are for healing, homes are for resting which is equally important. What a lovely group of friends you have! I’m glad that you were on that program, keeping the membership momentum growing.
Your Givenchy desk is magical indeed! I can relate because I rescued an antique buffet dated around 1740! It has all the marquetry inspired by Jan van Huysum’s floral still lives. It was in a sorry state but I told the restorer I wanted it to have a spa vacation, not a facelift. Repairing it and shining it up but not lacquered within an inch! It is so beautiful and gives me such joy! Of course I paired it with a large contemporary painting of a Dutch tulip field. Flowers to flowers.

Lalande´s beautiful lovestory is just going on and on with all its living aspects, The chateau with all its rooms, the chapel, the people, the woods and the stream (the future lake), the garden and the court yard, the terrass, the glashouse, the peacocks and chicks, the cat (seen at times) the guests of course, the patreons (on visit at times), and we the numberless viewers who have become friends. I hope there will also be a book about Lalande one day with Michael Potts artistic photos. 😍

Phillip you are the most empathic, caring young man. Stephanie you poor thing, you looked totally smashed by that headache. I often find, that when you have just gone through a period of high stress, whether its good or bad stress it doesn't matter, the moment you relax, you deflate and get hit by a headache or the urge to go to bed and sleep for 10hrs straight! I am surprised you managed food at all, you looked so wan, I normally get very nauseous with headaches and would have probably thrown all that back up. Phillip looked so adorable offering you the plate of food, when he wasn't really sure you were going to either like or accept it. You were very generous to accept his heartfelt offer. I really admire the way the two of you are so generous and sweet with other. I am sure you argue, but you treat each other with real respect and that is something that is really lacking in a lot of modern relationships. It is a credit to both of you. I hope the headache didn't lay you low for too long. And congratulations on your Good Morning Britain appearance.
I don't want to sound like a smart a.. , but dear Stephanie, if you don't drink enough water, tea or soup in that heatwave, you simply get a head ache, because you could be dehydrated. Hope you feel better soon!
Yes, I have heard that 75% of all headaches are caused by dehydration
And drinking alcohol when you're dehydrated can really make you feel awful

So happy Percy is back home. Stephanie you were wonderful. You looked so pretty for your interview and on a morning show you watched with your parents. I once had a home and garden show come to my home for an interview, I was so nervous so I asked my cousin who was a TD if she could give me any tips and she told me not to worry that you have all the knowledge of what your being asked to talk about and so it will be easy. She was right. Whew. So when I saw you so eloquently speaking on the show I was reminded of her advice . I hope you feel better, sometimes after a big event in our life feeling under the weather after it’s over is a reaction to the pressure we feel. How sweet of Philip to make you a dish his grandmother made him …. Comfort food. ❤
