Hello. Thank you for reaching out. I have a ton of information on both of these topics on my blog. This one would be particularly good for this question. drruscio.com/thyroid-hormone-replacement-therapy/

@@DrRuscioDC thank you for responding. What about hrt like estrogen. It seems that Hashimoto can cause insulin resistance and ir can cause lack of estrogen in menopause. Am I right thinking like this?

Ok. I’m going to give you a puzzle. My TSH is 12.97. ALL other deeper thyroid tests came back in the very normal range. I feel great. I have no symptoms OTHER than weight gain. I am almost 53. I have NO menopause symptoms OTHER than weight gain. Literally nothing else; sleep is wonderful, stress management (I have no stress other than figuring out if I’m going to cycle, play tennis, lift weights or kayak today. I eat meat and eggs. I take Lugol’s iodine and restarted both the dedicated beef thyroid for thyroid and progesterone cream for low estrogen/progesterone because I did take a Dutch test. I burn anywhere from 2600-3000 calories (who cares anyway) a day and eat 2200-2400 a day. I feel full and satiated after I eat. So, figure that out for me. I can’t figure it out. I feel great!! Just chunking up again and can’t get it to come off. That’s the ONLY issue-no hot flashes, night sweats, not cold, sleep through the night, etc…
