Ha Ha, it's always a slow burn until enough Dutch courage has been sunk, then cometh boss skanking until all the aches and pains take down the older ones. Youngsters alone hold out, with exception of oldies who drank enough to be oblivious to arthritic agony until morning 😁🤣

It's all pretty much a fancy dress event now but in the late 70s early 80s we had punks, skins and rockabillies sitting on the town hall steps watching Mods and Rockers do battle in Bolton town centre.
