- The suspected drunk driver who allegedly plowed into a group of people celebrating the Fourth of July on the Lower East Side was arraigned Saturday. He's now facing a long list of charges, including DWI and homicide. CBS New York's Kristie Keleshian reports.

Because the Attorney is court appointed. Only when the Attorney is paid for then it is The defendant Attorney. It is just what it is. This is to help the poor or people unable to afford and Attorney with out them having to go looking. Courts have Attorneys on stand by.....
