- A judge sentenced Michael DeAngelo, the man accused of killing four family members in a crash on Long Island while he was driving high, to up to 21 years in prison on Friday. FOX 5 NY's Jodi Goldberg has the story.

Justice was not served
Not only was the criminal high, he was driving over 100mph on a secondary road and has a long history of drunk driving.
So basically the Judge felt sorry for him . The man has a DUI record shooting heroine before the crash admits that he didn’t care for anyone else’s life and gets 21 years.

Hardly anyone gets arrested for drugs currently in ny. Ny has basically decriminalized it. They are also partially to blame.
If he was drunk instead should the liquor brand be held accountable? What about the car? Who sold him that car? Should the car salesman also be held liable?

Whether a drug dealer or a doctor who prescribed him whatever he was on it was on that man himself not to abuse it and then go on to operate a vehicle in an impaired state. Similar case in Florida, man got 147 years in prison, but that’s after the case was taken to federal court, because the lower court only tried to give him 40 years.

Had a former friend who was racing another car and he slammed into a car killing 3 people and an unborn infant. He was looking at 10 years in prison, but got out in only 2 years.
Maybe they can now sue him in civil court and get at least an appropriate judgement
I feel true sorrow for the family. Situations like this are terrible, and it's always good people who end up getting hurt. Just terrible. That guy should never see the light of day as a free man.
The key to driving high is to drive at safe speed.
Our justice system is a joke 21 years for killing four people. But if this was a truck driver that was not high on drugs, you would have gave him a life sentence because you said he is a professional. Justice system is broken and needs to be fixed. What a joke.

That junkie that loves drugs above even his own life, and destroyed the lives of an entire family, should have been sentenced to LIFE, no parole. So he had 2 prior DUIs, tried to flee from poloce after they saved his life from an OD, now killed 4 people and injured 2...
