I work for a bank, and I just live for hearing some Karen or Kevin screech "I'll take my millions to another bank if you don't do as I tell you!" "NOW!!!" During the screeching, I can see that they might only have, oh, say, $14 or so between all of their accounts. It's everything I can do not to laugh. And the ones who DO have money, by that time I don't care at all about what they want, or if they take their business elsewhere. I will do the bare minimum to get them out of there. Have a good day! 🤣😂

I was at a Halloween Store (and for reference 99% of my wardrobe is black and Halloween decorations are more like everyday decor) well I had my headphones in so I guess it looked like I had a head set on and a guy walked up talking to me and I pulled out my head phones and he's like "oh wait yoooooou don't work here do you?" As a Walmart employee, and shopper at Walmart for basically my whole life, it blows my mind how people can be so insistent that "you work here, you should know where everything is." Next time you're in there, just try to count how many different products there are on any given aisle. I can tell you, it's several hundred to potentially thousands of products, depending on the size of the items/facings in any given aisle. It's not unreasonable to not know where x very specific product is even in your own department, let alone the whole store. If it's something general like "where's milk" or "where's dog food" that's fine and any employee who has been there longer than a week or two should know that. But asking a produce associate where something like a specific brand of gluten free pasta is and expecting them to be able to take you there immediately without asking any coworkers or consulting their app to find it in the store is ridiculous.

    • @merlinathrawes746

@@merlinathrawes746 honestly 😂😂 like I'm a bakery/deli associate but I worked produce today and had a lady get super nasty with me because she asked where the fruit trays were, I pointed to where they have been for the last 2 years I've worked at the store, and she was like "well there aren't any there so are you out?" I told her I guess so but I just got over here 20 minutes ago so I don't know for sure. She was super rude and nasty and stormed off after talking to me like Im an idiot. Apparently a few days ago they switched the grapes display case with the fruit trays, which I found out like 15 minutes later 🤷‍♀️idk how I was expected to know that when it's not my department and the fruit trays had been in the previous area for at least 2 years prior and never changed spots. The Walmart I worked at always told us to make sure that we removed our name tags when we were on break or off duty. It saved confusion at other local stores, the majority of which had similar colored uniforms. Fortunately, as a stockman (shopping cart wrangler), I only had to wear a polo. We were allowed to wear jeans because khaki pants were less insulated in the Montana winter weather.

Karens decide that you work there when:
You're stocking shelves (even if you're just putting something back)
    You're helping another customer
    You're wearing earbuds
You're wearing ANY kind of uniform
    You're talking to another employee
And once she's decided that you work there, her mind CANNOT BE CHANGED.
In her world, SHE would never put anything back. SHE would never help a customer. SHE would never be friendly with an employee. And NOBODY wears uniforms unless they work there.

I do not understand how so many people can get grabbed, hit with carts, have things thrown at them, not to mention being hit and kicked, and they just stand there baffled. If somebody has already hit you, you don't need to know their motives or whether they had a bad childhood or just a lousy breakfast. What do DO need to know is how to fight back, punch them in the face, break arms, whatever it takes. When it's fighting they want, make them regret it. Like that movie with Sean Connery as a mobster where he says the great line "They send one of yours to the hospital; you send two of theirs to the morgue" not necessarily kill them but dammit people, stop being doormats and fight back.

"You seem to be very tall, and I am not, would you be so kind as to help me get (item I forget) off the top shelf? I would be so very grateful." If you are a manager or law enforcement officer and you are called to the “scene” with a Karen involved, the easiest way to identify the actual guilty party/Karen is because She/He will be the first person to speak to you, often loudly and often interrupting anyone else that’s trying to talk.

There needs to be legal protections for employees against these types of entitled people. Why should a business let these customers do what they want and get away with it just cause they're customers and the employees can't say anything without being scared of being fired?
If a customer is being rude to the employees maybe they need to be banned as a way to screen out the types of customers allowed in an establishment and not until after they assault an employee or another customer.
