It’s crazy how Ben basically figured out all the roles before the first day’s nominations started. I’m half convinced he’d have one the game night one if he was good.
Seriously great plays this game, from both sides. **Slightly spoilery** but get outta the comments then! It's a shame the game was so short, but it goes to show just how good at this most of these people have gotten over the years. And seeing Steven's predictions and insights into the players and characters was a delight.
I feel like just having Ken exist on the good team makes Evil start at a huge disadvantage. He's so good at calling social aspects on top of having perfect knowledge of the mechanics of the game in a way that nobody else is even close to doing its terrifying for any Evil team. I'd have to go back and look but has there been any time where he puts the Demon on the block and it isn't game over.
If I remember correctly, Ken is a professional poker player, so it makes sense he has not only the correct social reads but also the ability to see the whole game on a different level
...oddly appropriate that I get an ad about piglets while watching No Rolls Barred! That riot game was awesome, that looks like so much fun - while I love the long and intricate plays for a regular game of Blood on the Clocktower, that rapid fire format for the rio was just brilliant to watch. Well done everyone, including the crew, for putting together an amazing series. I can't wait to see another season of Blood on the Clocktower.
It took me until the second watch to realise this must have been filmed just after (or at least the same day) as the "I'm cool lawyer" "you go girl" bit, which is why "I'm cool defendant" "oh yes you are" seemed so familiar lol.
Pretty high, actually. Once Lord of Typhon is pulled, the Storytellers choose which players are which minions, so I can totally see Tom and Steven doing it on purpose.
@@Benusr Don't forget Typhon adds a minion. Because of the line rule, he just had to be within 2 spaces of a Demon, which had an exactly 40% chance of happening (Jon, Laurie, Chris, Holly). Basically a coin flip.
I think Ken’s at the point now where he’d rather see a good game than get a quick win. Similar to how Mara Joy will often suspect a play but let in run if it’s fun or if it’s a new player.
@@AshlingScott why would he rush into using his ability when he had no way of knowing a virgin was going to proc? Chris nominated immediately and pushed Sully as a double-claim. Most of the time that's going to mean one of them is evil and the fringe world of "harpy mad virgin who wants to bait a counter-nom" is much less likely and expecting a player to account for that is unrealistic. Add that to the script having legion, lord of typhon and more "normal" evil team compositions of yag/pukka and it's wasteful to throw away a guess on a typhon world when you have information contradicting what your guess would be and have no reason to assume it's a typhon game yet
At the end of the Riot game, Chris was the first to nominate, so shouldn't he have died from the Amnesiac power? No waiiiit, Chris nominated Jon, so Jon's power deactivates so Chris wouldn't die. Man, I would have flubbed that.
Well, to be fair. It could have been ruled either way. Don't think there was a 'correct way' to run it. It just came down to how he interprets the Amnesiac ability and whether it gets priority over the nomination.
@@DespOIcito Yes, it could have. Literally just rule it that (as part of the amnesiac ability) the Amnesiac takes priority over Riot. Amne is nominated --> Riot dies immediately --> Amne dies to Riot. Perfectly within the rules.
When the day 2 voting started and I saw how far we were into the video, I got worried. I don't really care which team wins, but I do really enjoy games that make it to a final 3. Seeing the mental summersaults that people go through trying to choose between two trusted individuals is fun to watch.
I was there for the first of 2 shows. As Jon said it was an improv show, and from what I saw I can 100% confirm there was nothing written 😂😂 it was somewhat chaotic, somewhat just them figuring it out as they went along

SPOILERS: . . . . When I saw Jon pull the demon on a script with a Flowergirl, I expected it to go badly. When he then decided to bluff as the famously difficult-to-bluff Savant, I said 'Oh Jon...' out loud - alone in my office. Bless his cotton socks, but Jon is so far out of his depth with these kinds of scripts, it's almost uncomfortable. The season overall was great, though. One dull game at the end does not change that.
@@Luciusem He had a wide field of bluffs to pick from, especially after talking to his widow. Going Savant and bluffing self-incriminating info was a terrible choice. Jon really should get more experience before being put in such games. Although he must have played well over 100 games by now, he still has difficulties grasping some rules and basic concepts. I like how he was incorporated on the TPI stream: As part of a rev pair. The fabled was introduced exactly for such cases, as written on its wiki page.

The game was unfortunate ruined for evil by ending up with a virgin and another good on diagonally opposite end positions. Bad luck for evil this time - still entertaining! Season 3 pretty pretty please
I think the key of Lord of Typhon is you need to be very careful with touching the good players on either side with most evil abilities until you can convince the town that it's not a Lord of Typhon game. You need them alive to allow you to shift the line one way or the other. In this case I think the town had stopped thinking it was Lord of Typhon (only Jon was continuing to harp on about it which made him look more evil). He also needed to be better with the Savant information. You need 2 true things but one of them that looks false based on all information town has, or 2 false but where one of them looks true based on all information town has. Last night at least one player was affected by madness, and a sober and healthy chef would have gotten a 3 (for the Lord of Typhon line) would be a good example of what he should have said. Both are true, one of them that town already believes (the Harpy Madness), the other they are therefore likely to believe is false (no Lord of Typhon) and have no way to prove anyway and those words are literally copies of lines they have heard in previous games from Daddy Ben. Similarly once Daddy Ben was dead, at least one player is poisoned (they believe a widow is in play so this is true, but the widow is actually dead so it's false), a sober and healthy Oracle would have gotten a one last night (this further pushes the world view the widow isn't dead yet as that would make both true). Again text book examples of Savant information.
It's not quite as produced as NRB's episodes, but you can see Ben play quite a lot on the Blood on the Clocktower channel. Look for the "Player Perspective" videos and you'll see Ben playing, usually with Aggie, Edd, Dakota/Avery, or Patters handling ST duties. It's def fun to see Ben on the other side of the Grimoire.
It's more powerful then it came off in this vid. The fact both sides of the evil group got mechanically confirmed to be good on the very first day was MASSIVE information (It was literally impossible for any script trickery to have caused that outcome). Boxing in the living good vs the evil team means that all of the good players who know they themselves are good, have every reason to nominate a middle player from the other side, and watch the voting patterns of the other side. If they are not reading suspicious, then you can conclude 1.) they are amazing actors and double bluffing 2.) you didn't pick the demon, you picked their minion, 3.) it's a different demon. Without boxing them in, if you find 1 minion is sus, you still need to figure out if it's even the demon in play, and where that sus player is in the lineup. This is all information you will struggle to gather in the first few days. The first few days in which the evil players can quickly gain a voting majority.
Oh this is great already. Steven as a ST, and Ben gets to play? Yay. Also highly approve of that opening by Tom. Appropriately epic AND a pun. Love that. The best thing about Tilly turning her hat was that the way she ducked down left exactly her hat plainly in view as she turned it around. Though, the whole Dom-Tilly nomination was super fun. Also really appreciate the visualization of seats being shuffled there.
Mechanically confirming two players as good splitting the group into literal bench vs bench was MASSIVE information in combination with the meta gaming of "a new demon is on the script, i know I'm good, thus the middle two over there has a demon if the most probable demon is in play" at the very worst you can just kill one for science. the fact that the entire other bench consistently was voting for your side, and keeps trying to protect the member on the block only helps confirm the demon.
Chris played this so, so well, I'm so impressed how he navigated both his role and the position he was put in to not only set up everyone on his team getting good information and role confirmations w/o offing a townsfolk with info gathering potential left, but also to lay the breadcrumbs for Holly to sus out the existence of the Harpy and all that that implied about the game state. Amazing! I can't believe Blair and Ken called it on the first round, if only Ken had gotten the guess in day 1 it may have been a VERY short round of play, here.
Would have loved to see the whole evil team claim goblin as soon as they were zeroed in on. Everyone vote together so the flower girl can't pin down the demon and make good team make some risky choices lol. Chris made maybe the greatest play I've seen in BoTC, hats off to you man!

Took me a second, then when I got it I just sighed and told it to my brother to the same reaction
I swear the word ewe was only created to make puns
always a shame to see a season finale. been a great series so far
"...ewe knead this." I consider myself a punster, but ffs Tom, that was painful 😅
For everyone asking for more clocktower content; i can really recommend noobs on the gooftower also some very fun games with some familiar faces :)
and also the patreon
The Grimoire is another fantastic channel full of experienced players
Chris' Noobs channel is great cause the friend group starts as noobs learning together and ends up with its own cast of heavy hitters and chaos makers. You see some of them get real good and grow as players
and TPI, of course
Really hoping season 3 is happening, you guys always do a fenomenal job. Set, cast, script choices, video edition... everything is done with such care and taste. Thank you for sharing the game with us.
Now let's start the season 1 rewatch 🍿
It’s crazy how Ben basically figured out all the roles before the first day’s nominations started. I’m half convinced he’d have one the game night one if he was good.
MORE MORE MORE! PLEASE!! Great series again. Thank You. Much Love
Seriously great plays this game, from both sides.
**Slightly spoilery** but get outta the comments then!
It's a shame the game was so short, but it goes to show just how good at this most of these people have gotten over the years.
And seeing Steven's predictions and insights into the players and characters was a delight.
Ben playing with the NRB crew is peak content
I feel like just having Ken exist on the good team makes Evil start at a huge disadvantage. He's so good at calling social aspects on top of having perfect knowledge of the mechanics of the game in a way that nobody else is even close to doing its terrifying for any Evil team. I'd have to go back and look but has there been any time where he puts the Demon on the block and it isn't game over.
If I remember correctly, Ken is a professional poker player, so it makes sense he has not only the correct social reads but also the ability to see the whole game on a different level
@@sofiipote7 Ken is utterly terrifying
Even in games without lying I still can't trust him... he's just so conniving xD
@@nicreven he's always lying, even when he's not lol
Can't wait to add "Honourary Bum on the Clocktower" to my CV
"It's not a slur, I own it."
...oddly appropriate that I get an ad about piglets while watching No Rolls Barred!
Yay, awesome script to end the season on! Looking forward to season 3!
It's been a hell of a season and it comes in a full circle with Tilly's fantastic fit again.
It took me until the second watch to realise this must have been filmed just after (or at least the same day) as the "I'm cool lawyer" "you go girl" bit, which is why "I'm cool defendant" "oh yes you are" seemed so familiar lol.
Nice to see the Bums behind it in the credits! ❤
Thank you Editor James Bumper for that bumtastic ending
“I nominate Ben”-Tilly taken over by the spirit of Nicky
I'd love a crossover between NRB and regulars on the TPI channel
Omg omg omg. It's happening. I found this Channel recently and binged the entire series. This is the first video I get to see as it comes out.
Thank you to cast, crew and all the backers for making this possible. It was a blast and I hope we get future seasons.
I haven't seen Laurie this angry since he tried to lie about getting through the Tempting Tunnel.
I don’t get the reference but I want to know where to see this.
@@CEJRAID the 13 beavers episode of board game club
What a way to finish the series. These were such fun videos to watch!
Even when Ben isn't supposed to see the Grim, he still gets to see the Grim what are the Goddamn odds?? 😂😂😂
Pretty high, actually. Once Lord of Typhon is pulled, the Storytellers choose which players are which minions, so I can totally see Tom and Steven doing it on purpose.
@@winnerwood Even then the Lord of Typhon sti had to be close enough to be considered neighbouring him... Funny as hell tho!
@@Benusr Don't forget Typhon adds a minion. Because of the line rule, he just had to be within 2 spaces of a Demon, which had an exactly 40% chance of happening (Jon, Laurie, Chris, Holly). Basically a coin flip.
I hope we get a 3rd series!
Ken proposing the correct evil team on Day1 and then just NOT USING HIS ABILITY is tilting me off the planet...
He probably would have if the night didn't end early with the virgin nomination
@@amarkalibad2571 I expect a player of Ken's caliber to see Virgin and Harpy on the script and use his ability in a timely fashion, to be honest
@@AshlingScott They're just having fun, and he won anyway. No need to take everything so seriously.
Oh hey, another episode of "Laurie gets dunked on".
Lovely jubbly.
"Horror-ologist" of the Clocktower!
Simply brilliant. Slow-clap 👏👏👏
This is probably the most perfect evil team i could think of, omg
So sad it’s over already. I love these videos and they are the best Blood on the Clocktower to watch.
I just love Blood on the Clocktower Live. I have money. Please make season 3, I will support it.
At the end of the Riot game, Chris was the first to nominate, so shouldn't he have died from the Amnesiac power? No waiiiit, Chris nominated Jon, so Jon's power deactivates so Chris wouldn't die. Man, I would have flubbed that.
Yeah great storytelling there to think ahead to that situation and keep the quick fire nominations going
Damn, I was questioning that. That answers it
Well, to be fair. It could have been ruled either way. Don't think there was a 'correct way' to run it. It just came down to how he interprets the Amnesiac ability and whether it gets priority over the nomination.
@@wolviller111 it couldn't have been ruled either way, the amnesiac dies and no longer has an ability.
@@DespOIcito Yes, it could have. Literally just rule it that (as part of the amnesiac ability) the Amnesiac takes priority over Riot.
Amne is nominated --> Riot dies immediately --> Amne dies to Riot.
Perfectly within the rules.
The editing of this episode is so fire! I would love more of this type for season 3.
Another amazing season, can’t get enough of the in person clock tower games, please start a kickstarter for another season soon!
absolutely losing it over the idea of a three-player riot team consisting of party animals and dancelords chris and laurie, and then Cool Guy Steve.
When the day 2 voting started and I saw how far we were into the video, I got worried. I don't really care which team wins, but I do really enjoy games that make it to a final 3. Seeing the mental summersaults that people go through trying to choose between two trusted individuals is fun to watch.
I saw a poster for Grace and Gracey at this years Fringe, so apparently they have written it.
I was there for the first of 2 shows.
As Jon said it was an improv show, and from what I saw I can 100% confirm there was nothing written 😂😂 it was somewhat chaotic, somewhat just them figuring it out as they went along
@@egjoker3624But Chris writes all his improv, so… 🤷🏻
Laurie: Im a really fun role!
Blair: Goblin?
Laurie: nO the other fun role haha😅
LMAO
I always appreciate the random banter @ the end that we never hear in game 😅
That was a quick one, but I really enjoyed it. Felt like appropriately unhinged and chaotic for a nice, solid wrap-up for whole season, lovely work, thank you, people 👍
Found this series while having Chemo, made the while thing a bit more bearable, thank you to the entire cast and loved the chaos of Laurie and Ken!
I can't believe Flower Girl and Goblin getting along, it's like a fairy tale
Both games were *amazing!* Chris's play in the first game was.... brilliant. Beautiful, clever plans!
So... Kickstarter for season 3 when? 😁
What a fantastic way to end this season! I loved how everyone was playing their character, super fun!
I'm really glad we finally got a riot script with this crowd! It's a different story and they absolutely took to it.
Incredible work from all the cast, the hosts, and all the crew! Can't wait for the next series
*Pretty big words, do you have more words? That got me! :D
Thank you! Another great series I'm glad to have backed!

He didn't exactly _choose_ to bluff savant. He was gonna go for zealot but Laurie had already hard claimed to several people
@@Luciusem He had a wide field of bluffs to pick from, especially after talking to his widow.

These Blood on the Clocktower games are my favorite thing on the internet!! Just picked up my own copy at a local Game Shop yesterday!!
Great group, hope to see this setup again :)
Thanks for this epic final episode!!! seeing daddy ben actually play is awesome!!!!
Lord of Typhon is so weak as a demon but very strong as a potential demon.
If Jon had killed a good player, it would have been 4 vs 4. Good could never have had the vote as long as evil voted as a block. Could have been OP
@@Yivia dead votes
Those end credits were the most childish giggle fit I've had in quite some time
Yall are the best!! Great season finalle and such fun!! Hope everyone is well and those on the team at the fringe this year had a good fringe!!
I haven’t been checking your channel at least a few times a day, waiting for this. Honest.
Glad we got everyone's Bum-sona in the credits.
Mechanically confirming two players as good splitting the group into literal bench vs bench was MASSIVE information in combination with the meta gaming of "a new demon is on the script, i know I'm good, thus the middle two over there has a demon if the most probable demon is in play"
at the very worst you can just kill one for science. the fact that the entire other bench consistently was voting for your side, and keeps trying to protect the member on the block only helps confirm the demon.
The Clockmaker 1 didn't help either.
Banger to finish the season, from start to finish
Chris played this so, so well, I'm so impressed how he navigated both his role and the position he was put in to not only set up everyone on his team getting good information and role confirmations w/o offing a townsfolk with info gathering potential left, but also to lay the breadcrumbs for Holly to sus out the existence of the Harpy and all that that implied about the game state. Amazing! I can't believe Blair and Ken called it on the first round, if only Ken had gotten the guess in day 1 it may have been a VERY short round of play, here.
this whole season was great, really glad you made another
It took a month but I've watched all of the episodes and I am NOW able to back the kickstarter :) I'm right on time!
Ah!!! Daddy Ben playing! It's so weird to see this without also following his perspective.
as someone from Hounslow i can confirm, we can't leave
You can do it, just pretend you live in Isleworth, and the curse lifts for just long enough for you to escape. I got out!
Please do another season! Everyone is so interesting playing this game, i watch every episode!
I've been waiting for a Riot game for SO LONG. That was absolutely electric.
When the autoplay starts an NRB p BOTC and you just presumed it is one you've seen before...then the realisation hits 🎉
Would have loved to see the whole evil team claim goblin as soon as they were zeroed in on. Everyone vote together so the flower girl can't pin down the demon and make good team make some risky choices lol.
Chris made maybe the greatest play I've seen in BoTC, hats off to you man!
i paused the video half way through because i thought ken was going to guess straight away with his right answer
And so, even with the odds stacked in the evil team's favour against them, it was Chris's virgin purity that clutched for the good team.
MOAR! MOAR NAO! MOAR NAO PLZTY!
In all seriousness, this was beautiful. Thank you.
A+ on the sheep bread joke - we’re lucky to have Tom as the straw that stirs the ravenswood bluff drink
So good! short, but extremely exciting! Thank you, I cant wait for the next season
