Watching sit coms from the 1950s,and early 1960s are so unrealistic.Patty's father wears a suit and tie when he is not leaving the house.He is the editor of a large newspaper ,and is always in the house.At least he has a career.Most sit coms from this era do not reveal the father's employment.
