I am thrilled all 104 episodes are online. I haven't seen this show since it went off the air in 1966, and I never missed seeing an episode on WABC-TV, Channel 7. I had such a crush on Patty Duke! I used to read articles about her in "Tiger Beat" and "16". I remember there were a few Sunday afternoons living in Brooklyn, that we took rides in the car around Brooklyn Heights. I was about 10 or so at the time. I actually thought we were going to run into her and I broke out in a sweat! I didn't know of course at the time, the show was taped at Chelsea Studios and that she was living in Elmhurst Queens, or I would have certainly taken a subway there. I probably would have gotten my head handed to me, lol! I am in the process of reading her autobiography, and I could just cry thinking about all the problems she had in her life. This particular episode interests me because of the scene that "Cathy" walks outside the house right on the Promenade. I don't remember if any other episode showed the front of the house outside on that block. I'll bet the real estate there is out of sight! The house is on Remsen Street. I wonder if the people living in that house know their home is part of television history. I would love to just walk those steps she took in this episode. When I do, I will stop and say a prayer in her memory. God rest her soul, and all the other departed members of the cast, William Schallert, Jean Byron, and Eddie Applegate! Only Paul O'Keefe remains; I hope he has fond memories of this classic TV show!
I actually made a video about this episode while visiting the Remsen Street house!

Later on, I made another video!

That’s so cool! I’m 21 and have been a fan of old Hollywood since I was a teenager but just found out about this show a few weeks ago. It’s super cool that everyone can relate to this show regardless of age 😊

I loved the Patty Duke show growing up. Brings fond memories. I always wanted to be outgoing like Patty but was always more subdued like Cathy. Anyway, while I was growing up I missed a lot of the episodes due to having to go to church during the week the day the show was on. Real bummer..thanks for allowing this old gal to relive those moments again; even for a few moments each time I view an episode it keeps these characters alive for future generations to enjoy. R.I.P dear Patty Duke and everyone else who starred in this show that are no longer with us. ❤️🙏🏻🌹🐾

When I was young this was one of the first sitcoms aimed at teenage girls. There were no repeats so you had to be pretty faithful. Patty Duke was a huge favorite!

Even though I wasn't a teenage girl, I loved this show and Patty Duke!

Wednesday night at 8:00pm was “must see TV” on WABC Ch. 7. I had such a crush on her. My family made terrible fun of me, but this little 4th grader was not missing one episode of this show!

You could say this show paved the way for shows like Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, iCarly, Victorious, etc.

At 2:06 , look at John Spencer transition from talking to the one girl, to smiling and talking to someone else. How many times did we see that exact same attitude, movement, and expression on the West Wing, all those years later? What a personality he was.

~15:32, My father had a 1955 Buick Century Model-61 like the one in this episode. He used to let me sit on his lap and steer it, try that today; you would end up in jail! 😮It had a gigantic package shelf that we kids used to sleep on during evening drives; I can still feel the rumble of that Buick Fireball 322ci V-8 lulling me to sleep. How I miss those carefree days!

As originally filmed, this episode featured a short sequence in which Patty dreams she’s given a medal by the President.
Because of the recent Kennedy assignation, the sequence was cut from the episode.
Details are scarce. Here’s how the Associated Press described the cut footage:
It was a dream sequence showing Patty receiving a medal from a man-whose face was not seen-seated in a rocking chair.
Some sources state the man in the rocking chair spoke with an imitation of President Kennedy’s famous accent.

Depends on what part of Europe but they certainly had it in England in fact it might've been more popular than in America. They had Rock in France where Cathy also spent much time but it wasn't no where near as popular as in England or America

Hmm. This TV program usually reflected real life, but THIS episode seems VERY written by someone born in 1910 and knew NOTHING about teenagers in the 1960s. I am an 80s kid, but this is RIDICULOUS.
