I am using a double rotary for almost 25years now and still like it very much, makes a clean job and the rows are drying up fast so good choice in my opinion, still here Mike😊,thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Mike that's a nice rake I have never used one but I would like too. As far as a merger that's not a pipe dream it's a goal and you will get there when it's right for the farm .great video . Thanks
My work has a Kuhn 28' double rake, but it's barely enough to rake 2 swaths properly behind the JD C450 cutter. If the hay is tedded, it's great. And for thinner 2nd cut we can rake as much as 60' into a windrow for the baler. A merger would be nice, but wouldn't pay back very fast. Keep doing what you are doing, my friend. You have to sign the checks, not any of us that watch you! Great drone footage and video!
very nice rake .I have 2 double rotory kuhn rakes one is a 1990 model year almost all teeth are original its raked thousands of acres .kuhn makes quality equipment
That will make some really nice hay… it’s amazing you can run the rake and run the drone at the same time…. That’s something I don’t think I can do…. Great video Mike..
I've got a wheel rake...it's what I could find & afford @ the time the bear of them r if you loose a tooth & the baler picks it up it sounds like gravel running through it
That is nice rack. Like how the rotator rake helps dry the hay better
Thank you John. We are really happy with it
Great video Hay looked great. Thanks Mike
Thanks Ames. Glad you enjoyed the video
Florida Joe. Nice Mike😊
Thank you Joe

Thank you Paul. Its a great rake for sure. We are working on it so hopefully some day we'll get our own merger

Hey Mike. Good rake good tractor great video. Take care buddy👍
Thanks Kevin. Its a really nice rake for sure
Could watch hay raking all day! Great to see!
Thanks Josh. I do enjoy raking hay. These rotary rakes really do a good job cleaning up the field
Another awesome vid! Keep the deere's running
Thanks Gene. They are great old tractors
Awesome love, the new rake does a great job 👍
Thank you. I'm really happy with the rake
Can confirm, that rake is HUGE
Cleans up the field really nice
Nice stuff Mike. We have a bunch that's ready but it won't stop raining long enough to get it.
Hopefully it dries up so you can get it
Nice rake Mike
Thanks Matt. It does a really nice job

I really like Kuhn hay equipment
We use a deere 6110r with a kuhn 4220 rotary rake. They do a great job when set properly. Awsome in irregular fields.
We just traded in our 4220 rake for this rake. You're right, they do a great job

Thanks Rick. Its like anything, the more practice the better you are at it
Nice one sir.. stay safe 🏴
Thank you Ian
I'd do 3 or 4 to 1on hay like that. I bought a double rotary because sometimes we put 60 or 80 feet together to bale on 2nd 3rd or 4th
I ran a twinstar 7 bar double rake when I was farming! Overkill, but I enjoyed every bit of it
Cool
Check around. The ga7822 rakes are less than the new single you bought. They do an excellent job
I've got a wheel rake...it's what I could find & afford @ the time the bear of them r if you loose a tooth & the baler picks it up it sounds like gravel running through it
I'm sure that does make a bad sounds when a tooth goes through the baler
If you do purchase it you may want to do the headlands last so not to drive on them after their raked
We purchased it the beginning of the year
We call them flakes, for small squares, lol
I've heard that one too
I bet you guys rake in the savings on if?? 😄
Haha, that's a good one Clint!
@@mikep7810 thanks Mike! I thought it was …punny
My opinion: a merger is just an expensive Tedder.
They do 2 different jobs though, a tedder spreads out the hay and the merger puts it into a row or merges rows together
Hey Mister dances in the haymow in his underwear. Have you given any thoughts to painting the barn?
I've given thoughts to a lot of things
I know where that field is I haul out that gravel pit every so often
I've gotten a few loads of crusher run out of there
@@mikep7810 are you folks doing the fields on 26 just north of there that park's used to do years ago then dotys did?
@@dandavis7946 No, that was sold to the hops and grain farm up on carr road
