Really great episode. My favorite underrated line is at the end. "Your dad tried to turn me in to the government, so I made him and the government go away" 😂
Rick isn't actually concerned about the deaths in that 9/11 memory, if you turn up the volume a lot you can hear him say "'an excuse to take away our freedom", so that's what he is actually concerned about xD
McD's actually brought back a limited run of the Mulan schezwan sauce because of the demand created by this episode :P Fans lined up around the block at select locations lol. Also! I love lawyer Morty in this episode! "Look at him go" "Hahaa yaa" :D
It was an unfortunate time for sane R&M fans because MCD's didn't make enough sauce and Rick and Morty fans went insane online and in real life all over some sauce. Tons of news outlets published stories about the crazy fans.
@@PhilipManzanohonestly, they brought it back briefly again this year and I got to try it for the first time and... I gotta say, I thought it was kinda mid. Tasted kinda like BBQ with some spicy bits in
The misdirect right out the gate is so good. After Rick Potion No. 9, you believe that they may just not explain how things happen sometimes, so everyone wondered if they'd just do that again. It was also like a year and a half after the finale!
This show gets REALLY good with its continuity, but after Justin got less involved it drops off and then once they fired him imo the show was never the same. And it was all for nothing too, another victim of cancel culture

Shoney’s is a real place. We still have one in Oklahoma. But I used to go to them in Texas growing up.
I grew up in Louisiana and went there so the time too 😊
It’s like one step fancier than a Denny’s.

@@TheMightyBone on the plus side, I'm sure it helped them get that crazy greenlight up to season 10 (now 12)!

@@PhilipManzanoThere are a bunch of TH-cam videos teaching folks how to make it at home.
this is one of the best episodes of the series in my opinion
will never forget the april fools drop after a LONG ass break
We actually learn in a later episode that that actually was Rick C130s origin story all he changed was the formula on the ground.
_"I'm gonna take a shit!"_ 😏
🤦♂😂🤣😂
17:15 » ha! you got it! 😝😁

I agree, but I dont remember anything in Rick Potion No. 9 not being explained?
@KneesOfTheBees how the Rick they replaced cured the disease. They just say that he did.
@@robling1937 Ah i getcha. For some reason i was focused on something our Rick didn't explain, but its totally a similar misdirect but better
4:48 remember that Rick. Very important.
this show has a bigger storytelling than you guys think.. keep watching, its amazing
Shoney's was a real restaurant! Sadly, they've gone under
Yeah I thought so! I feel like I remember seeing it when doing road trips to the states a while back.
Woot
Minkdonnals
in the fabricated origin story of rick's, Diane and beth dying part was real.
How about not spoiling things for people?

Eh, season 5 and 6 slapped. ...Same ole arguments...
He cancelled himself, sounded like the other people on the show were glad for him to leave.
