@@TheNeuroticGuitarist I know, its such a special guitar though, the context behind it is pure emotion. A couple of times EVH angrily remarks "why wasnt I aware of this sooner". I wish you guys all the best in gathering the money that the Becker family needs. Have you considered something with donations as well? That way we can all chip in, no matter our wallet size.
What makes me cry every time I watch this video, isnt so much about Eddie gifting him that guitar, but how Eddie showed such vulnerability physically toward Jason. His display of affection toward Jason is hard for most guys, me included. We always see Eddie the rock star, but not Eddie the mere human like the rest of us who showed such compassion, love, and humility toward Jason.

This is the kinda crap that absolutely disgusts me! I'm from Nashville & about 20 yrs ago when they began bulldozing 90% of Old Nashville, BEFORE they built the new Convention Center & new hotels & office buildings they tore down the studio where Elvis recorded Heartbreak Hotel, among others to build a gd parking lot & NOBODY from Garth Brooks to Paul fukn McCartney could shake the lint outta their sprawing estate couches to buy the damn thing & preserve history!!! They did same with a small club on declared historic district that featured everyone from Leonard Cohen to the Ramones. Club needed less less than a $100,000 & had to hold money drives to try & save! I used to talk with Jack Lawrence, bass player for Jack Whites Raconteurs & Dead Weather when he was in town there all the time as was his #1 hangout & always there, yet he nor White could care less to help! If Wolfie can't just throw the guy a hundred grand each month wtf does that say about him?! Let alone the rest of Sam fukn Halen?! Sorry but wouldn't have to even have to ask me!!! It's such a damn shame that any person or family has to struggle to survive due to medical costs.
While I'm not in that level of medical debt for my wife, its still so expensive to just cover monthly bills while still paying for the endless medical bills. Its absurd, and until someone has to go through these experiences, they'll never understand the stress and hardships it can cause.

I make darn good money and medical bills would make it seem like child's play if anything were to go wrong... Thankyou very much for all the years of killer guitar work and also for continuing in many different ways to be a source of inspiration to us all 🤟🏻🙂👍🏻. 😊 Hello Benny, really cool of you to do this and try to help Jason, I wish I had the kind of money that he will need to get through all this I would happily pay a massive amount to own that very special guitar for a while. I am 52 and remember when he first hit the scene in the early 80’s as a new guitarist , one of my friends named Curtis ( 🕊R.I.P. ) got the Perpetual Burn album after reading about Jason as the new hot rod player on the block. We were definitely not disappointed in the least when we finally heard it ! ( I lived in a very small town so it took awhile to get new music like this into someone’s hands ) , we put it on and we were all like
W😮W! 🤯 total facemelter 🤟🏻 mind fully blown ! what did I just hear. !!! Play That Again Immediately! 😄👍🏻. That was so Insanely Awesome! Even to this day so many years later it’s still just as incredible and it always will be ! Altitudes and Perpetual Burn are still to this day some of the greatest pcs of music ever played on a guitar by anyone ever! ( the Jeff Loomis cover kicked ass! 🤟🏻and so does Jeff Loomis himself! such a nice and respectful guy in real life)
I guarantee the first time Eddie heard those tracks it made him smile that trademark grin you all know so well 😊. You know when you get Eddie Van Halen’s attention ( as well as the rest of us ) You’ve really done something truly great 😮 and Eddie obviously recognized this fact so he responded in kind ( just like he did with Dime!😊) the way he always did when something moved him like that and he also did something really great and kind as well by gifting Jason this guitar. Eddie truly was a nice guy and a legendary player for a reason, he earned it ! and so did Jason.
I wish I could buy this guitar for a massive pile of cash 💵 and then give it to Wolfgang and have him play it live on the new tour for a while autograph it and then give it back to Jason during the live show when Wolfgang plays with Mammoth in Jason’s home area of the USA again ! Wolfie deserves the attention he has been getting he’s an amazing musician and a stellar human being and a kind, real person like his Dad was. No wonder Eddie was so proud of him ! We are all just starting to see for ourselves exactly why ! 🎸🤟🏻😎👍🏻

King Edward had the biggest heart in the history of the universe. He came from nothing so he knew and very well understood struggle and how fortunate he was to make it as far as he did. He stayed humble and we can ALL take a lesson from him in what it means to be human.

ALS is a crazy disease. The keyboardist Kris Moe had it, mixed with MS; the last time he performed was 1996; it took five years to even diagnose properly; ALS usually takes 2 to 3 years to complete it's arc. Kris passed in 2005.
I hope someone with a willing heart and deep pockets buys the guitar to not play it...and give back to the family. The rest of us donate to a charity of your choice to lift up organizations in need ❤

That's been suggested multiple times, it's a great idea if there was more awareness and excitement around Jason; but I don't think we'd get close to where we would want to be that way. It works for metallica because there are 10000 people who would enter a raffle for them.

It would be great if you could find someone who would buy it and allow it to be displayed in his home as it always has been. Have them agree to take possession only after his passing.

Have the Becker's considered moving to Canada, where patients with CF don't pay hundreds of thousands of dollars per year for treatment? I'm sure they have looked into all options, but who could afford such medical bills?

That'd be great but there's no way that'd raise the kind of money Jason needs. EVH is helping more by having something he can sell, it'd be great if it stayed with him but the truth is the money helps way more

@@TheNeuroticGuitarist I'd just donate to expenses but I lost everything when I became disabled - I didn't want to distract by yelling that this shouldn't even be a thing (losing everything through no fault of your own), I mean I have trouble playing but I can still pick one up for a few minutes...and then you sit there and hug it when it hurts too much to play anymore. Adding insult to injury by making someone bay just to live after they've lost everything that should make them even want to be alive? People that make it through and keep not only persevering but producing creative works that only make the world better should be *treasured* not *punished* .
