Interestingly, I was researching the 3D Game Machine game engine and learned that, assuming it's the same Head Games, they apparently made an arcade machine?? There's _nothing_ about it on Google though.

The rest of the information on the site is legitimate, so this thing has to be real. It's an arcade machine though and I just can't find any information on it.

I used to make games with DIV games studio back in the early 2000's. It was a pretty neat programming language and it ran under dos using DOS4G/W. You could use 256 colors and one of the demo games was a rayman clone called The Castle of DR. Malvado. DIV was a great creative outlet and tought me a bit of programming.
Nice to see you shed some light on these older unappreciated games that would otherwise never see the light of day these days. Even if they suck ass through a straw, it's nice to be reminded that they existed.

NavJack27 - I remember my favorite of the genre fondly. SSX 3 is a great example even though those Monster Moves were difficult to figure out and pull off at least for me.

I like Jurassic War. It is certainly not superb in any way, but...it is not a bad RTS all things considered.
A quarter way through the video I thought the development team/company behind this game would be a great techtales story and then you went and included it anyway as a monday the 9th of january present for the whole world! 10/10 will watch future videos!!

Hey Clint, if you're looking for more winter snowsport games to review, please consider checking out Supreme Snowboarding (borderzone in the US). Released in 1999 it's an unsung gem of PC gaming with some pretty impressive graphics for its time. Combined with the varied tracks and deep trick system, its one of my favourite winter sports games to date.
but but...it was sealed....how are you going to get it graded now?!?!

DIV Games Studio was the one software that got me into programming back when I was around 12 years old. So much nostalgia.

I'm almost 3 years late for this but: Div games studio wouldn't allow you to make 3D games outside of the so called "mode 7". Div Games Studio 2 allowed you create Quake-like 3D graphcs (now called mode 8), but none of them allowed you to do polygonal graphics like the ones in the snow games you showed.
Dive Games Studio game during the time when polygonal graphics were starting to become mainstream, but it was aimed mostly at making 2D games.
Have you every played SSX Tricky or SSX3 on the PS2? They're awesome if you're looking for a good snowboarding game.
Massive lols at the text document with uncensored swears in it. That seems a whole lot stranger to me than it probably should actually be.

Can I ask if anybody here knows about a snowboarding game from the late 90s, early 2000s? i can't find it anywhere, and i can only remember having multiple modes, including doing tricks in front of a crowd in some sort of arena, and specifically this, the loading screen featured a man with a beard of bees... it's not on wikipedia, and i cant find any information about it... it was like tony hawk, you go down the hill, do tricks, grind, jump over roads, to the finish line. i also remember some levels being at night time
Hi LGR! What videocard did you use to play SnowWave Avalanche? Can't play it on a Voodoo 3 3000, It' super choppy (like 4fps) and I don't understand what might be the problem! It's a shitty game and everything, but I have a lot of memories of this! Do you have any tip? My specs: Voodoo 3 3000, Athlon XP 2000+, Sound Blaster Live! Platinum, 1GB Ram (vcache fixed). I remember playing it on the same videocard at the time, but I might be wrong. :(

What is with Spain and goofy snow sports games? Snow Wave Avalanche, Snow Board Championship, and my favorite a snow boarding game called Surf Planet. Surf Planet being mediocre in gameplay but a kickass soundtrack by the band Dover.

I knew extreme wintersports looked familiar... i owned Snow Wave Avalanche. It was a budget title here in spain, but mildly entertaining. In those times, a 3d game that looked decent was more than enought for me xD What a crappy company Head Games is.

Seems like Head Games needed some help making games. If only they had a practice mOde for programming. That or just some beta testing... or effort not to butcher a functional game. Or just not be Head Games.

Ooooooh, is that Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine! I recently found a copy of that at a Value Village. I remember playing the demo back in...2008-2009 over and over again. I freaking loved that game even though I never had it. I'd love to see you cover it and maybe some other Tomb Raider-likes.

Man you saved me some time digging through google and moby games by making this. After you made the Extreme WIntersports video I was sure I played the snowboarding part somewhere but I was certain it wasn't named like that and that I had no issues whatsoever playing it. Turns out I was remembering a demo of Snow Wave Avalanche from back in the day.
Still, not a fan of the thing. The placement of the flags in the racing mode was random at times making it a pain not get DQ for losing too many.

You really need to review that copy of Extreme Paintbrawl. From what I hear, it uses the BUILD engine, albeit in a... not very good way...
Low I had this game at the time it came out xD friends wher playing cool wintersports games on console, we had pc I got this :P remember that white blue box, looked cool at the time. I fondly remember the girls with the g-strings.
