What are your problem areas? 💸💸
- Mine are plants and second hand shopping 😬
Books ! But I think I have enough of them for the entire 2024 and beginning of 2025 📚
@@carolinekouba-marquet695 I feel you! Maybe we should start a book swap club 😅
Cookies and going out for coffee 😢
My bad habit is definitely eating out, buying breakfast / lunch on the go. I have enough books to last me a year, plus I have library and free books online. I'm looking forward to joining this challenge with everyone.
Clothes and home decor - on my 3rd month of nothing new in my wardrobe and 8 days in on no new home decor - we can do it
“2024 spend no more” is what I’m going with!
SAME!
Me too!
🙌🙌
Did you buy anything?
how's it going 😂😂😂😂
I did a no buy year for 2023. I basically only bought necessary consumables as needed. I will be continuing the no buy year into 2024.
It's all about a mind shift. Super inspiring that you're doing for the second year in a role! 💪
Unless you own a lot of "stuff" at the onset, i highly recommend a low spend yesr over a no spend year. As mentioned, we generally buy things as a function of life as opposed to making most of the things we consume. If frugality and only purposeful spending are the goals, one is likely to discover that "investment purchases" would enable less purshasing over all. What immediately comes to mind are sustainables and reusable items to take the place of disposables. Maybe food storage containers or double walled, thermal and beverage and food containers to make taking your own food rather than buying out more possible.
I agree. I replaced my plastic leg hair shaver with a shaver made of metal and the razors can be changed. I also don't buy clothes that contain plastic fibers like polyester or acrylic. I am so happy with the purchases I made over the last years regarding better, high quality clothes. This goes for shoes, too. I started buying real leather shoes again and there IS a difference in the appearing. This is also true for handbags. No more fake leather. The plastic it is made of is more harmful to human health and animals as well as for the environment than wearing real leather things that will last you for years and years and can easily be repaired.
I highly recommend the book "Essentialism" by McKeown. It's not about buying less, it's about buying only what you need and things things that improve your physical and mental health (gym membership is very important to me, for example).
As for the rest, I only start shopping at the beginning of October every year bc you can get huge discounts on items you were looking for for a long time. I'm not willing to pay full price, so I try to get the best discounts possible, especially during black week. Before October, I hardly buy any make-up, clothes, interior stuff or other "decoration" purpose items.
Low spend is Moore realistic. Would feel way deprived with no spend
I’m starting a no buy/low buy year. I spend money on everything I want. This has to stop. One idea I heard was to highlight the days on the calendar when no money was spent outside of your necessities. You will want to keep the trend going each day. If you miss a day by spending, that day does not get a highlight and you start again the next day. Now you can track how many days you were successful! Much better than quitting all together.
Love that!
Love it! So many tricks to keep motivated 🎉
How’s it going
2024 will be my no buy year. I have decided that since last month. I have been organising my budget. My goal is to get savings enough to cover 6-month bills. Let's see what I can do about. ❤️
Love it! Best of luck 🤞🍀
I’m in!! Our motto we came up with is “spend no more in ‘24!” We are in!! 🎉🥳✨
I love secondhand shopping!
But this year I intend to only spend money I get back from consignment stores on new things. This will drastically reduce the amount of money I'll be spending, and incentivize me to get rid of things/take care of my things to increase my thrift store budget.
That's a great resolution and tip 🙌
I just decided to start a one year no buy on my birthday (so I´m on day 3 right now) 😊
The only exception I leave open in case is a haircut. I want to grow my hair long so if I can get one year without haircut, even better, but if I get breakage or start getting split ends, I will rescue my hair with a haircut.
I am doing a no-buy year. I have enough clothes etc. Get rid of clutter for a house that wld be easier to clean. Only buy essential food stuffs, check freezer and pantry. I am keeping a food and meal diary. Hoping for great results.
Love it! A meal diary is a great idea!
Starting a No Buy Month to break a spending habit picked up during a wardrobe overhaul after landing a new role. Time for a reset!
I just made last Amazon order today. Better late than never to join the challenge. Thanks for sharing with us
It's never-ever late to start to be mindful about your spendings! You got this 💪
Love the intro haha!! Me and my partner are trying to see how long we can go without buying anything, our rules:
1. Only spend on food and consumables.
2. We can spend reasonably on our trip on holiday.
3. We can splurge once every quarter but only on reasonable items (buy it for life, sustainable etc).
We're going to be each other cheerleaders. Our goal is to be able to turbocharge our savings before putting it down for a house!
Totally agree with money tracking, I think the biggest tip I got was to immediately put money away and give yourself a strict budget by analysing everything you've spent.
Also, small tip that's super useful. Use Ublock Origin on your computer, and block as many ads as you can everywhere.
That's great! Specially as a couple. Very inspiring.
Would love to know how it goes!
The irony is, the one thing I spend the most money on aside from utilities is coffee 🤦🏼♀️
It's really hard to ignore coffee ahah it keeps following us wherever we go 😅
The best video on this topic so far! Especially because you are keeping it real with setbacks ❤
Thank you so much for the kind comment. Happy that you liked it 😊
I‘m in! Loving this video and am looking forward to more content from you around your No Buy!
🤍
Game on ❤😂 thank you for the challenge and all the best to all of us 🎉

Yesss!!! No more buying stuff for 2024
💃
I am doing a no-buy this year! I enjoy your videos so far and hope to see more throughout the year... I will need the encouragement! :)
Aww that's great! I want to make more of these videos in the future cause they also keep me motivated and everyone has so many good tips here!
Just found your channel and am enjoying your videos very much. I'm inspired to give this a try! Thanks for the extra motivation =) Fiona is adorable!
Aww! Such a nice comment 🥺🤗 thank you. Fiona says Hi!
This is exactly what i need.
Great video Bea, get better soon! 💐
The Fiona collage at 14:26 is too damn cute 😍
Thank you! Fiona stealing the show as always 😊🐶
Me too that sounds good name for it
Realistic advice, I think I can give this a go - thanks 😊
Love it 🙌
Great content. Thank you.
Happy that it helped 🙌
joining you!!!
💪💪
New subbie here 🙋🏻♀️ started my No-buy January 😅
Yey 🎉 happy to see you here 😊
I started last year with no but challenge but didn't succeed successfully. Lets see this year one more try
Perfection is a myth! It's beautiful that you tried last year and are gonna do it again in 2024 💪
We got this!
Love this!! I’m working on my “guidelines” for a 2024 low buy. I don’t want to go full no buy, but I’d love to try the low buy where I can. Thank you for all the great advice! The hashtag is great!😊
Aww, you're so sweet 🫂
Thanks!
This channel first supper thanks 🥲 Thank you so much @elisollle 🥰
Sounds like the way I live :)
That's beautiful ✨🍀
Spotify pro tip - they do not offer annual subscriptions, but you can buy a one year gift card which works out to two months free. I'm in the US, but I assume this works for Europe as well.
(For me, it would be an Audible subscription instead of music.)
Oh wow! This is a great trick. I think I'm gonna do it as well 🤭
Uhh yes i fail hard for plants and thrifting! Basically my yellow category is like $40 maximum per month on whatever non essentials i or my family wants but no more than 1 plant per month and i have to keep my collection minimized around 40-Love it or lose it.
Me passing the Calathea section 🪴🚶♀💸💸💸
But not in 2024!
Having a limit is a great way to control your impulses! I'm so happy to see everyone reflecting and making their own rules 🤍
2024noclutternomore sounds great
🤗🙌
Thank you
Thank YOU 😊
Maybe I will try for a month. My challenge is buying for my granddaughter as I buy a lot of her clothes and toys etc.
That's great! Maybe to replace the clothes and toys, you can take your granddaughter to some outdoors activities instead.
It doesn't even have to be anything big or expensive. When I was a kid, my favourite days were spent at the playground, on a garden playing in the dirt, cooking with my grandmother or riding a bike. :)
Love the hashtag #2024clutternomore
🥰
You should do the hair thing
I'll try my best 🤞
Maybe you wan't to tell us more about your beauty-routine since you mention you use argan-oil? ♡
What app do you use to track your spending?
I'm using money manager for a while and I'm happy with it. And it's free 😊
You've inspired me to try it. Recently I've been ordering some clothes and shoes but they didn't fit so I sent it away. I think it's a sign 😅 Also your idea with cash is really good. I go to my local pool with cash only but it can be hard to get a change because everyone is paying with card 😅
It really makes my day when someone says I've inspire them. Thank you 🤗
Would love to know how the challenge went!
I failed this year .. Next year will be different .
There's no failing, only learning. 🙌
Have a happy #2024clutternomore !
My pitfall is dining out.
Im into this challenge😊
💪💪💪
I will be doing a no buy year starting in February but won't be saving any money due to paying off debt.
That's great! Scratch that debt of your list and happy savings.
You got this 💪
I Just did it in 2023 - failed at the end With 3 things but still 😅🥳💪
That sounds like a huge success to me ☺️
yes clutter no more in 2024
🙌
What app was that ?
I'm using money manager for a while and I'm happy with it. And it's free 😊
I only buy food and food and medical care for my cats and it’s still a lot of money. 😩
I understand... Pets can be a big expense but there are also so rewarding 🥰
#DontNeedMore2024
2024 cutter no more
plants are my main problem.
Same hereee ✋🙈
#2024nomorebuyingwomengifts! Lol 😆
#Hedwig mug!!!😇🦉🥲
Awww, you noticed! 👓⛈👦🦉
I dare u back
Game on 😉
Who is using cash in 2024?
I do 🙂
Spoil your dog, it’s not her doing the challenge it’s yours lol I have 3 dogs and they are spoiled. I subscribed tonight because you had good points
Refreshing to hear a millennial not giving 5 minutes of apologizing before starting the point of the video. I suspect because you’re European and didn’t so much grow up under the tyranny of “cancellation.” 🙄
#2024clutternomore, I love it ❤ Your channel was recommended to me in a low/ no buy community and I am so grateful for finding it ✨️🩵
Awww! I'm so happy to read your comment 😊 thank you! Hope you keep getting value out of it
